After 3 seasons, I've mastered the art of sculpting them. Regarding durability, my younger children ate right through them. About two weeks before the conclusion of the season, my older child unexplainably rips his to pieces. There are many wonderful features on this mouth guard case. I desired a sturdy mouth guard case that I could throw in my gym bag and ignore after sports. I didn't want to be concerned about it rotting, becoming moldy, or being trampled by my other equipment. I also wanted something foolproof—something I knew I couldn't lose. Here's a list of the things I've discovered to be most helpful. Please feel free to look at the images I've provided as well.1) The case is very, very sturdy. You know those infomercials where they illustrate something's durability by having, like, five sumo wrestlers sit on it? This case, though, is pretty darn close. I am confident that the case will be successful even if a team bus is loaded with two dozen additional luggage on top of mine.2) Air circulation The compartment's contents may breathe thanks to several carefully positioned ventilation openings. In this manner, a saliva-coated or otherwise wet mouth guard can be placed inside and left undisturbed for days without being moldy or rotten. That is a key benefit of this product, I can assure you of that from previous usage! (As a side note, the case's maker states that it is made of antibacterial material. I'm not familiar with that. Other than "antibacterial," they don't provide any details. Who knows, it might be true. In any case, since I started using it, I've never experienced an odor issue.)3) You may attach the case to any hook or strap in your backpack thanks to the built-in carabiner gadget. (See the images below.) I use the function to its fullest extent. And I still haven't lost it more than a year later.4) The case's relatively big size makes it suitable for orthodontic retainers of almost any size and form. (See the images below.) Study them. They are neither lengthy nor difficult; rather, they explain a simpler fitting procedure than what is described in mouth guards of a comparable design. There are, however, a few TINY changes... However, what can I infer from the variations and/or how significant they are or are not? Simply said, "better safe than sorry," isn't it?

I adore having the option to remold for the ideal fit. To get it, I had to give it a few tries. Use a companion if you have one to assist you in lining it up! The hardest teeth for me were the back teeth. Check the temperature of the hot tap water with a thermometer if you have one. I discovered that mine reached 150 degrees, so I could relax knowing that the guard wouldn't unintentionally boil over. The directions are simple to follow. If you do need to remold it, it genuinely takes on the shape it had before. So that you won't have to worry about thin places, even the bite marks reverse. I didn't experience temperature/sensitivity concerns like the majority of other guards experienced. SISU only needs 140 to 160 degrees for molding, while most guards need boiling water (212 degrees), therefore not only could I handle the mouth guard, but the fitting process wasn't AT ALL unpleasant.It initially feels a touch snug, but it stays in place. I might get used to it or I might need to remold and reduce the suction. I'm not concerned, but only time will tell. For Kenpo Karate, I utilize it. During sparring, I had no issues with it. To test the fit, I gave my partner permission to softly strike me in the face. My back teeth weren't rubbed or made to click, it didn't interfere with my ability to breathe, and I never had to worry about it coming out. It was strange at first, but I quickly got used to drinking with the guard. I wish I could say the same about speaking with it in place, but I can't, hehe.In case anything changes, I'll update this.

Wearing a mouth guard is vital to me because I've played basketball and needed stitches and lost teeth in the past. For jiujitsu, I've also used mouth protectors. And for basketball and flag football, I require my kids to wear mouth protection. The semi-custom fit Shock Doctor Gel max was another item I possessed. This pair is soft, comfy, fits my mouth well, doesn't require any custom fitting, and I especially appreciate that it covers both my top and bottom teeth. Additionally, this mouthpiece is made even more comfortable by the breathing canal in the centre. The only negligible factor to take into account while choosing this pair is that speaking will be more difficult if all top and bottom teeth are covered. High marks Despite the fact that this mouthguard is intended for braces, it is now my favorite and I do not have braces. Additionally, this works wonderfully with my Shock Doctor case. I got a new case, which is good. It didn't fit my old shock doctor case from many years ago because the old cases weren't as deep. With this mouth guard, I got a new case that was considerably deeper and fit it well.

This mouthguard is quite popular with my daughters. Both of them play lacrosse and assert that they will never return to wearing conventional mouthguards. For them to open their lips during a game and shout or yell without worrying about the mouth guard slipping out, these mold snugly to their teeth, almost like the invisalign braces do. Since they don't have to keep their teeth clenched to hold it in while running, breathing is also much easier.To learn how to mold it, you must watch the tutorials, but they are simple and to the point. The first time, it took us two to three tries to get the hang of it, but you may keep trying again if you don't get it right the first time. It is advised to let the orthodontist form my elder daughter's braces, but she didn't have a scheduled appointment so we lined her top teeth with tin foil and molded them over that instead. It worked well, but it took a few tries and tweaks to obtain the perfect fit.It's not something you should try for the first time 5 minutes before you need to leave for a game; instead, plan on molding it when you have lots of time to work with it.

At Gracie University, I practice Jiu Jitsu, and I just started INVISALIGN. You are unable to remove your mouthpieces and insert your teeth into an out-of-date mouthpiece. One possibility is to make a mouthguard every week to correspond with the movement of your teeth, but that would be very expensive. I made the decision to test out the Shock Doctor Mouthguard for braces in order to avoid even having to remove my trays. This mouthguard fits over my trays properly and is comfortable. I felt compelled to write this since it fit so well. Also, I noticed that no reviews mention Invisalign. This is a fantastic choice. Please note that with your trays in, this is not mouthguard size. Your lips will be slightly more pushed back by the mouthguard. It has a football mouthguard-like quality to it. For my mouth, I might give it a slight trim. For a smoother back shape, I occasionally cut the top back corners. Wonderful mouthguard. If you use Invisalign, I advise you to purchase this.

Along with the Shock Doctor Gel Max Convertible version, I purchased this mouthguard. When I first wore the Gel Max guard, I thought it provided additional padding and protection for my teeth, but because of its size, it was more difficult to speak while wearing it. Since the Shock Doctor Pro guard is slimmer, I can speak more clearly while wearing it, but I'm worried that this means my teeth won't be as well protected.I did not had to redo anything during fitting because it was very straightforward. Simply adhere to the directions on the package. The mouth guard should be submerged in the boiling water for exactly 12 seconds before being removed and fitted into your mouth. Use your fingers to press it against your teeth or gums as you bite down. Close your mouth while inhaling to create a suction that will aid in its formation. Take it out as soon as you are satisfied with how it is shaped and immediately submerge it in cold water.For softball, I use mouth guards like these, and this one is functional. Because I can speak more clearly, I utilize the Gel Max guard for added protection when I'm playing a position that doesn't need a lot of talking.
