My 4-year-old grandchild enjoys using her "Salon Set," as she refers to it. The hair accessories don't have a big role in her act, and I believe most of them had been lost by this point. But she chased me down with her comb and mirror because she likes to style the hair on her "doll head," her buddies, and a few of her full-body dolls. She enjoys playing salon with her buddy, a 4-year-old girl, using many of the dolls and their own hair. They enjoy playing pretend with the hair dryer and curling iron, which are thankfully broken. To be honest, I believe the hair dryer creates noise (with batteries? ), but they use it without batteries to create their own salon sounds. There are several fancier sets with extra components, cosmetics, etc. However, these young children were having a ball with relatively simple objects, their imaginations, and the cooperation of multiple dolls.

Although not the highest quality, it was better than I had anticipated given the price. The blow dryer did not come with a battery, just the mirror did (it needed two AAA batteries). It was a welcome surprise that the blow dryer actually blows air reasonably well.I would unquestionably suggest it for young girls who enjoy arranging their hair.

My daughter adores this whimsical kid's makeup kit. Thank god it looks and feels completely different from drugstore brands. It is adorable. It has some appealing qualities. The only problem we had was that I scooped a lot of glitter out of one thinking it was deeper and more compact because I mistook it for eyeshadow. Mom accidentally utilized a significant portion of the pallet because it isn't. We discovered that after applying the other makeup, the glitters should be placed on top. Both she and I were unperturbed. For the price, you get a lot of goods, lots of selections, and such gorgeous packaging. Every time my child runs out or for gifts, I will unquestionably repurchase it.

For my granddaughter's second birthday, I purchased this. She is over 3 feet tall, so I hesitated because of that. I was torn between getting her something bigger that she could grow into and this. I took a gamble and determined that even though she would soon outgrow it, for the price it would be good for her to enjoy for at least a year or two because the bigger ones seemed to fit her size but weren't as much fun for a 2-year-old. I must add that neither she nor I felt let down. Just the sight of it caused her face to light up with delight. The "surprises" it had were a light-up mirror with a hologram, a hidden piano, and a cute little blow dryer that produces sound and blows just enough air to be entertaining once we had worked our way through all the little attachments. She finds the bottom portion between the table's legs to be robust, and the small chair I was worried about hasn't caused any problems. We played with it for an hour the first time after I put it together by myself in only 15 minutes. This vanity play set has made both of us incredibly happy!

My son is totally fixated on scissors. He has previously received safety scissors from Fiskars as gifts, but he constantly looks for them and isn't permitted to play with them alone. SO. I bought this specifically so he could have a pair of "scissors," but he ended up falling head over heels with the entire set. Nothing is battery-operated, so there are no concerns about things running out of power, which is the finest feature in my opinion. Even though they are merely plastic toys, the quality is actually rather high given the cost and quantity. The only thing that dissatisfies him is that when you pull the trigger on the hairdryer, very little air really comes out, but that is a very small complaint.
