Since I was a youngster, I've wanted a competition tornado foosball table, which I recently purchased. Two red, high-quality balls were included when it was delivered, but with three young children, those were quickly misplaced. I tried to purchase those on Amazon but decided against it because they were $6 each. I wanted an alternative. I bought these based on the reviews and they're decent; they're not quite as good as the red ones, but they'll do; they're good and solid; the ball doesn't have as much spin; technically, it does, but there's not enough grip. However, for the price, these can't be beat, and they work pretty well for practicing on and playing with the kids. I nevertheless purchased two of the professional models to use as a backup whenever the grownups play.

I've used the red Tornado ones (which have a texture that makes them slightly "sticky" on most tables), the smooth white ones (which are quick), and the textured ones that resemble soccer balls (bumps can make them erratic in my opinion). You'll choose one over the other based on different tables, different playing methods, and different viewpoints!I have a Fat Cat foosball table with a glass playing surface. Because it has a glass top instead of a traditional foosball table, it offers a unique experience that I've never seen before. The plain white balls move much too quickly, causing "random" bounces all over the place until they enter one of the goals. These red balls function flawlessly and let the player's skill be far more important than just "luck of the bounce," as we like to put it.I strongly advise using Tornado foosballs like these if you want to play with the textured balls.
