This was just mailed to me. Exactly what I needed! After Christmas is over and I have some time to sew/quilt again, I wanted to make a t-shirt quilt. This is offered in stores, but this particular type...for ME.. is typically understocked. Pass or fail. Due to the fact that I live in a rural place, ordering it is lot simpler than attempting to find it and bring it home. Despite how light it is, it works. Except if you really want a stiff product, it's the ideal interfacing to use. Although soft, this holds its shape well.

For hemming my pants, I have a sewing machine. I had to hem a pair that had no stitching, though. Because my machine is quite basic and I'm not a great sewer, I didn't want to mess with that specific stitch. My mother advised me to use hemming tape. Then I did. This functioned adequately. It might be a little difficult for me to handle because I'm a beginner and a little clumsy with it. It is 'flimsy' because it is so light. I didn't want to take away too many stars because, once more, it might have been operator error.It holds up well; I've subsequently washed those jeans multiple times without experiencing any hem issues. Overall, the product is adequate for quick, novice sewing projects.

I was disappointed to discover that it is a glue film on a paper backing and that the directions state "DO NOT SEW" when I purchased it thinking it would be fusible interfacing for use on sewing projects. However, I found that instead of sewing, I could use it to adhere the turned-in sides of a pocket, and it works nicely. It worked exactly as well as sewing because it is permanent, so I used it to connect the pocket to the clothing. The polyester fabric I used it on dries quickly, so I machine washed and dried it for 5 minutes on medium heat. Initially, I was going to return it, but after seeing how well it functions and how simple it is to use, I've decided to keep it. In fact, I used the same fabric to create a second pocket, sandwiching two pieces of fabric with iron-on adhesive between them. Voila! It has the same amount of "body" as if I had used interfacing despite not having any visible white interfacing on the interior of the pocket. It almost seems magical. This iron-on, NO SEW product is fantastic.

With this, I hemmed a camisole. I've run it through the laundry and dryer at least four times, and thus far it has worked. The directions are unambiguous. To make the project more doable on a mini-ironing board, I trimmed the strips into pieces that were approximately 2.5 inches long. The hem has not ripped or come undone. Having never used this product previously, the one thing that surprised me was how much tape would be required to finish the hem. It used the majority of the box, but it was worthwhile.

Using a moist towel between the iron and the backing was advised in the instructions on my package and online. When I tried it, it REFUSED TO STICK. Then, my husband discovered that JUST IRONING makes it stick on better! Therefore, omit the damp cloth and simply iron it on. Run the iron over it until a small amount of pilling appears, then let it cool. even after being placed through the dryer and washer.

I can wash and iron by myself, but I can't necessarily sew.I occasionally have to fix a polo shirt or hem some jeans.I am finding that this tape works well, and repairs survive at least one washing [I haven't had one come undone yet, but it will only be a wash or two]Hemming may usually be finished in less than five minutes.If these repairs last for years or months or just a few washings, only time will tell.Even if a repair needs to be made in a few months, I will likely "find" the issue while folding or ironing, placing me in the same room as the tools needed to do the repair.Since repairs may be completed quickly, having this item on hand is beneficial.
