This brush is amazing in every way! I chose the 23" model because I preferred the speedier cleanup provided by the wider opening. It may be somewhat too huge for my pool and the particular use, but it still performs flawlessly. It quickly completes a skimming of the top or bottom by picking up anything in its path. The right method for cleaning the bottom was demonstrated in a video that ProTuff emailed to me, and it really does work wonderfully. I adore the internet in all its forms. I don't have many big leaves, but every day, a ton of little garbage and junk blows into my pool. This net makes it possible for me to quickly and efficiently clean the pool from top to bottom.The building is excellent. The design is faultless, and the materials utilized are of high quality. The product is made of plastic. Before it becomes "cheesy" and degrades due to pool chemicals, anticipate it to endure three to five seasons. It will continue to function for a few more seasons before deteriorating totally. The handle, however, is incredibly poorly designed. Before the plastic "teats" start allowing the handle to pop out of the holes intended to secure them, expect it to last three or four days. One or both of them will eventually break, forcing you to "play" with the basket to get it in and out without a handle to hold. A few loops of sturdy fishing line, possibly 80# test or better, can be used to tie up a useful handle. Even while it won't last forever, it will be simple to replace and will function better than the basket's fragile handle with its feeble nubs. I suppose the basket's nub-fitting holes could be drilled out to make room for a rope handle, but it could be challenging to fit the rope into the gap between the basket and its container. Because it is so thin and fits in the space, fishing line is effective. Eventually, perhaps, Hayward will acknowledge the flaw in the product and create a handle that meets user requirements. Why is it necessary for the handle to be removable? Why not use the same piece of molded plastic to create both the basket and its handle? Nothing could loosen up in the scenario. It would be more durable and require much less upkeep.

I thought maybe I should try putting the sock in the second skimmer basket, which is just before the pump, as my skimmer basket has a floater/bobber that generates the pull for the water to flow into it and the sock partially obstructs its movement. That disrupted the pump's suction, and I was concerned it would get sucked in and damage my pump, so I made the decision not to do that again. The most of the small, tiny, unpleasant bugs that would typically go into the filter cartridges are filtered out, but some do get through since I can't get the sock to fit properly in my skimmer basket. Additionally, it expands swiftly. I'm pleased I bought the 30-pack because of this. But the $10 "handling fee" that essentially replaces the "free shipment" leaves me wanting. Wah-wah But I got two more packs since I love them so much! Thank you; they function flawlessly. The huge size is the reason I chose this vendor's socks over others I've tested. I chose not to utilize the others since they were too little. For my typical skimmer size basket, XL is perfect.

For a tiny pool, this skimmer works great. The screen portion is huge, but the handle is shorter. That's why I recommend a smaller pool, perhaps one that is 10 to 20 feet long. It can be used every day. Additionally, it neatly stores away from everything. The only issue is that the entire screen housing is made of plastic. so that it can bend. The handle could be made of metal. It won't break, so don't be hard on it. Unless you practice baseball or golf on it. But as everything is made of lightweight plastic, it could flex somewhat if you run hard or excessive amounts of water through it. However, nothing diminished the usability. So, 4 stars is acceptable. Test it out.

We have extreme frost in Massachusetts, so despite my initial reluctance, I decided to give it a shot. My above-ground pool used to have a partial drain, but I had a lot of issues whenever the season changed. I use water bags to hold a mesh cover over the pool. After several rainstorms and snowfalls, the mesh cover and water bags got somewhat displaced and fell into the pool or to the sides of the pool. Replacing the bags and stretching the cover was a real bother. I did not empty the pool at all and instead used this gadget in conjunction with a return plug. When I opened the pool early this summer, there was no damage to the skimmer or any other components, which at first worried me because the watershed gadget did not shut tightly. The pool was able to be opened in one afternoon rather than taking at least two days as before, which saved me time and money in maintaining the cover and bags in place over the winter (as they did not move at all due to the maintained water level). a remarkable advancement over a simple gadget. I wish I had finished it sooner! I do suggest it.

Over the past few years, we have used a few other pool nets, and I must say that this one's netting appears to be of higher quality than those we have previously used. We'll have to wait and see how long it lasts, but we anticipate it will be longer than the previous ones. The net is a little slack, which is excellent since it allows the water to flow more freely when skimming than nets that are really tight and do not budge at all with the motion of the water. Had a problem receiving the things, however it was not at all the seller's fault. If UPS hadn't made a mistake, the seller would have shipped as promised, and we would have received the package earlier than anticipated. Price is quite reasonable when compared to retailers. We will tell our friends about this vendor.

So far, this has worked out really well. My pool was shut down in September. Not even a drop has leaked thus far. Over the winter, we'll monitor its performance. I appreciate not having to drain my pool all the way down to the skimmer. If it holds, I'll be able to save a lot of money. Revision 5/15/18. This has kept all winter long without spilling even a single drop of water. It's a fantastic product. I'll undoubtedly keep using. Still above the skimmer is the water. Basic leaf skimmer for a pool that I use in between visits from our weekly pool service.
