Although I purchased this straight from Balanced Body, I am a devoted Amazon Prime member, so I believed that evaluating it would be beneficial to other customers. This device was the first I saw on Amazon, where there was only one review. Additionally, I purchased Allegro 2 accessories from Amazon. For months, I puzzled over a number of models and manufacturers before settling on Balanced Body. You will be amazed at how adaptable the new Allegro 2 reformer is if you visit Balanced Body's website and watch the video on it. Before I hurt my hip and lower back while mountain biking, I had never done any reformer work or Pilates. Additionally, before I witnessed what a reformer can do, I would never have thought about doing this kind of exercise.I came to the conclusion that getting the legs was worthwhile because they make getting on and off the chair easier and allow for more standing and kneeling leg exercises.I'm at a loss for words when it comes to how stunning this piece of equipment is! It's so perfectly designed and very sturdy that viewing it from below is quite intriguing. Under the carriage and as a trim piece at the end where the risers are, there are two pieces of furniture-grade rock maple. When worn barefoot, the maple standing platform is non-slip. I adore how seamless and smooth the white anodized frame looks with the wood and grey footbar.I have long hair, so the carriage platform is seamless, and the headrest may be adjusted to an upward angle if desired. When I originally started looking into Pilates reformers, I believed that altering the chord lengths and straps would be impossible. I didn't want to interrupt my workout to make any adjustments. The Allegro 2 includes a handle that is conveniently located underneath the carriage and automatically evens out the straps or releases more with a small tug. And if anyone is curious, as I was, about how the carriage moves, mine is incredibly smooth—almost wicked. Therefore, use caution when getting on it from any standing posture.Another thing that convinced me was the footbar! This is exceptional since it moves effortlessly up and down the reformer's length. It's simple to learn how to lift up slightly, tilt it, press it into place, and then activate. On my back, with my feet at my side, I can perform this. This is awesome since it has endless variety and is simple to use.The handles' interiors are quite soft, and the straps and cords are excellent. This is a fantastic upper- or lower-body workout that is incredibly simple to lengthen or shorten thanks to the Softtouch rope system. Since my preferred exercises include lifting big weights, this machine has seriously caused me doms (delayed onset of muscular soreness) in places I've never experienced. No portion of the reformer had even the slightest scratch or damage when it was fully constructed. The markings on everything were clear, and the assembly instructions were detailed. Each exquisitely created item is produced in the United States. The installation of the footbar was the only challenging element, but there is a DVD you can use and online YouTube videos to guide you. The side indicator tabs that include the footbar in my model have been somewhat modified, which is actually an improvement over the video. On mine, the tab indicator is highly visible. You can't go wrong if you follow through with the video because of how brilliantly they engineered the footbar installation. I'll be the first to admit that I have no natural aptitude for mechanics.Overall, I'm still AWESOMELY impressed with the quality and will absolutely purchase this again. Simply because of the quality of its construction and long lifespan, it was worth the price. Regarding my recovery, my strength has significantly increased in the two months since I started learning how to operate the Reformer 2 on Balanced Body through numerous podcasts and YouTube videos. I was in excruciating pain and unable to either sit or stand, let alone ride. Whatever your injury, know that your body will tend to heal itself. Although I adore heavy weight training, I needed to find a technique to strengthen my legs and core while lying on my back. At first, I thought this machine would be way too simple for me. No, I'm still learning just how harsh those springs are, and there are only one or two of them! To have their strongest spring on hand as a backup, I preserved the original spring setup and added a green one. Oh, and swapping out springs is also really simple.The JumpBoard and the Pilates Arc are the other two gadgets I purchased at the same time. Once more, they were shipped in sturdy packaging and were well-protected. In addition to providing excellent support and allowing for a variety of core exercises, the arc fits on the carriage shoulder posts. The back of the JumpBoard is made of solid rock maple with metal square inlays, which makes it very heavy. The front has a sizable area and is well-padded. I detested the thought of having to wear a bun while I viewed other machines. All of those problems were resolved with the Allegro 2, and I now have an entirely new workout routine. Although I have a cable machine, several BodySolid equipment, and a TRX system, adding the Tower would duplicate what I already have. Never say never, though.

I bought these bands for end-of-workout auxiliary exercises, muscle stimulation, and joint warming up. They feel wonderful despite the limited number of times I've used them. For upper body movements that required more range of motion than I would get from a larger band, it was crucial for me to acquire a very light band. For lower body exercises, I also needed a few bands with a decent amount of weight so that these bigger muscles would be worked. The black band, which is the heaviest, surprised me because it is often too stiff for whatever I do. The fact that the lightest band (yellow) was VERY light and the darkest band was hefty but yet allowed for some range of motion, nevertheless, was something I really enjoyed. I have been lifting weights for almost 25 years, switching to power lifting about a year ago, and I also teach barre. Instead of using the gym set (yuck! ), I can use these bands for personal use, and I think they will last. Contrary to the wide cloth-covered bands, rubber bands that are 2" wide do have the tendency to roll up a little and migrate from place. However, I have never encountered any bands of a comparable design that don't have this tendency. Once more, the very thin rubber is perhaps acceptable for my personal use. Unlike my former band, which is 11.5 inches long when spread out flat, they are only 10 inches long. They're nice, and I've given them as gifts to my private training clients. They are the ideal travel accessories!

Here are the big changes if you're used to using a pricey reformer in a studio: There isn't much you can do at the back of the machine, the footbar isn't adjustable and a few inches narrower, the front platform is extremely small and unpadded, there are only three bungee cords in place of springs, and it appears to be a few inches shorter because the carriage frequently strikes the back platform when it shouldn't. It can also be challenging because the shoulder pads aren't secured into anything. The machine is pretty good if you can get used to everything! I'm happy I did.
