Here's my sincere opinion, if you must know. Let me start by mentioning that I had purchased a leather "gun belt" from a different seller on Amazon about a year prior that was priced similarly to this one. I didn't think much of it because I wore it every day. However, over the past few months I have noticed the belt doubling over and growing longer and longer. I suppose everything simply grew longer. I tried to make it function by drilling two new holes, but it was obviously broken. First off, I'm a big guy; I got a 52 because of my 48-inch waist. A few years ago, I came across pistol belts at a gun exhibition and bought a few. I had a decent experience with the gun show merchants, however some of the merchandise was inconsistent.I was searching for a belt that I could put on with "comfort" waisted pants. These kinds of pants slide down on me, despite being comfy, therefore I need a strong belt to keep them up.Gun belts are often thicker than ordinary belts since they are made to fit a holster. Additionally, they come in extended sizes, making it simpler for me to acquire them.Products from Hanks: Excellent customer service.Enough said.The belt fits perfectly. The belt has eight holes (usually 7 or 9 is standard). One inch separates each hole. While some belt manufacturers still sell both, others only provide models that are 3/4 inch apart. Adapt to their sizing suggestions. Get a 38 if you are a 34. Get a 52 if your size is a 48. You won't be let down. With the aid of screws, the buckle is attached to the leather. For years, I've used leather gun belts as well as nylon belts with plastic insert reinforcement to keep my pistols safe. I didn't anticipate it to grip my Glock as tightly as a carry belt does because these belts don't have hard plastic inside like other carry-specific belts do. Having said that, these belts are of extremely high quality and work well to holster small pistols as well as serve as a standard belt. The plastic buckle fastens just as securely as a metal one, but using it requires a slightly different technique, so it's worth viewing the instructional video on You Tube. I can honestly state that after over a month of everyday use, this belt is nicely made, comfortable, keeps its shape, and will accommodate a small Glock size pistol with an additional magazine just well. This item is ideal for use with a Safarliand ALS holster (check with the company for compatibility with yours). When wearing a normal ballistic vest, it is just low enough to allow for fast pulls when necessary. Not the best option for folks who sit in automobiles all day, but excellent in short-term tactical circumstances or when you'll be moving about a lot. It is best to wear with a somewhat wider tactical belt that fills the loop because thinner belts cause the holster to shift excessively from front to rear. However, the range of motion with a thigh rig is far inferior (try jogging while drawing from a thigh rig that isn't physically strapped around your leg like a tourniquet). Love it, except for the excessive movement.

I enjoy this belt a lot. When I saw this one, I had previously ordered their cobra buckle version. I'm glad I ordered this instead of the cobra buckle version, which I had canceled. Recently, I've started carrying an appendix along with a sidecar holster for a spare magazine. Particularly while carrying an appendix, my excellent leather belt was rather thick and protruded even more at the buckle where the additional loops through. This resulted in an uncomfortable bulge when wearing only a t-shirt or similar long sleeve. To eliminate any printing while carrying an appendix, I wanted something extremely thin and low profile. This was successful in achieving that. It is very strong, incredibly simple to slip through any belt loop, quick to adjust to my optimum tension, and free of any metal that would necessitate the removal of the belt for metal detectors. Although the cobra buckle is attractive, it seems difficult to get through most belt loops and is very large for what I was looking to minimize. Considering how thin it is, this belt is remarkably robust. highly suggestable

The sizing runs a little big, as many people have noted. I'm used to large sizes being closer to 36-38 inches in circumference, but large will have a 42-44 inch waist. You'll need a medium if you're 36 to 38. To take it up, I had to change mine. That's great; I don't mind a little sewing (a stitching awl is required; any gear guy should keep one on hand). Belt holds on firmly. No matter what I did, my old utility belt from 2005 would not hold up with any weight on it. With this, I can sprint or move while wearing a loaded magazine, NVGs, a knife, a gerber, and wire cutters (heavy ones that will cut C wire). It fulfills my needs in that regard. Additionally, I hardly ever notice wearing it because it's so comfortable. I gave it four stars, mainly since I've only had it for a short while and haven't shaken it out that often. However, it seems to be very sturdy, therefore I don't believe it will likely disintegrate. After this deployment, I'll definitely elevate to 5 stars and leave a review (more like TDY).

I first gave this product a one-star rating. And I believe that the belt is not horrible. I've been using it for a while. But not always. They sent me a new belt for no charge after reading my review. It arrived swiftly, and the men who handled the problems were quite courteous. I started conceal carry two years ago and, like many others, have experimented with many methods. I finally decided on an Alien Gear 3.0 inner waist band after trying a few different holsters. I bought a 1.5" leather belt, and while it holds up well, the hardness of the belt makes it a little uncomfortable. With this belt, it is far more comfortable, and I believe I have finally discovered the right pairing with this belt and A.G. holster. Unfortunately, everyone is different, so many people would disagree with me. However, for me, this belt is ideal and costs only a third of what my leather belt did.
