This item arrived in flawless shape. Many of the older reviews mentioned numerous issues with breakage due to inadequate packing, therefore the company must have changed their shipping process. This product came in two boxes, with various styrofoam parts floating the post within the inner box. Plastic was also used to wrap the post. The post had perfect paint application. Installing the photocell and outlet was a breeze. Unlike many other ones out there, the ladder rest is made of metal.The post's lack of a side hole near the bottom to run the electrical line up the post is my sole criticism. It would have to be inserted through the bottom, which was great in my situation.Don't make the same error I did when I first tested the dusk to dawn sensor, too. I covered it with about 8 pieces of colored tape after installing it during the day, but the post light would not turn on. After disabling the sensor and verifying that the post light was operational, I concluded that the sensor was broken. I got a thick black jacket, covered the sensor entirely with it, and the light switched on right away before I spent further money on a new sensor or tried to obtain one covered by warranty.

Updated after two months: Still doing great. Although there hasn't been much exposure to wet weather, it seems to stand up well against exposure to extended periods of 100F (40C). I'm not sure if it lasts from dusk to sunup, but it's at least six hours. The only minor drawback I've observed so far is that the screws holding the light assembly in place at the top will rust over time. I took them off and painted them with flat back primer and spray paint.I spray-coated these with headlamp UV spray coating in the hopes that it will survive longer than 18 months because I have experienced numerous issues with the plastic overlay on solar cells fading to white and obstructing the light sufficiently to eliminate the cell efficacy. Since the entire top is made of plastic, I essentially coated the entire top region._______________________________s@ purchase: Made to replace a really aged natural gas yard pole light (the gas had been disconnected years ago). This precisely matched the old lamp's 3" pole because it was (after some cleanup and repainting). The one I received only contained two set screws, despite the fact that it has three taped screw holes for tightening to the pole. This doesn't seem to be a problem when the light is fastened to the pole.Although I could prefer brighter lights for a little bit more distance penetration, it works well enough for me.Although I do worry about its ability to charge sufficiently over the long term during the summer months because my install is under a cluster of fairly large trees and only receives direct sunlight for two hours per day at most, I haven't noticed any problems with it in the week since it's been put in.After some time has passed, I'll update this evaluation to reflect how it performed under mostly dubious circumstances.

They have recently returned after being out of commission for the past few days. After I managed to get another set, they are once more out of stock. I'll come back frequently to place another order. In fact, I liked the packaging. They were expertly packaged in small boxes that read "Open Me" and had beautiful packaging materials. The directions were uncomplicated and obvious. They took a day to charge. When the light shines through, the glass has a wonderful texture that gives it an antique appearance. They are well-built. Although they are brighter than the ones I tested, they are still not very bright. For 6" posts, they come with straightforward converters. Two screws are used to install them in an accessible location.

As of now, so nice. The lights on my fence pulsate look fantastic. I sincerely suggest the LED illumination, but I just hope the batteries last. Just a thought: make sure you regularly clean the top of the lens so the sunlight directly strikes some without any film or, potentially, bird droppings on top of the lens and prevents the light from receiving a full charge. But for the time being, I have extra batteries in case I need them. Hopefully, everything will work fine because winter is approaching. If you have snow covering them, remove it immediately because doing so would prevent the illumination from functioning at night. Good fortune

Our civic association negotiated with the City of Houston to pave, level, and add curbs and gutters to our roadways. The portions of our drives that were in the easement were redone, and they all have the same appearance. Much further down the street, the street light that had previously been across from my driveway had been changed. I placed the first lamp in a ceramic planter, stabilized it with sand and chunks of concrete, and surrounded it with flowers. It was quite brilliant because it was under a tree, but when the tree's leaves began to emerge, the light became less intense. I bought a second bulb and bigger, black planters to replace the ceramic one. To stabilize the lamp (the base was on it), I once more put potting soil on top of some bits of concrete, and this time I used artificial flowers that everyone thought were real! The first one is still beneath the tree but has been relocated farther out so it does receive some sun, whilst the second one is in the sun for the majority of the day and is bright! Both of them are quite noticeable during the day, and even on overcast days, they glow at night to make my drive stand out. I am VERY content!

With the help of this, I repaired the front light pole. I followed the directions and charged it for a full day before using it, which was simple to accomplish thanks to a well hidden on/off switch. I have a wooden lighthouse that was made especially for me, and the electric light on top has stopped working.
