I noticed this cup when browsing Amazon because it is so stunning! I bought it for my mother, and I'm overjoyed to say that she absolutely adores it and uses it whenever she drinks tea. I'll be placing additional orders, and I also adore the sizes. Although incredibly light, the glass is too thick to carry comfortably. Although it feels like plastic because of how smooth the glass is, double-wall glass is really used. They wash up beautifully by hand. I won't lie; I didn't even give them a shot in the dishwasher. For our camping trip, we bought six bowls and six plates. We enjoy the square format a lot. Yes, we prefer to eat in style even when we're camping. Our set travels with us in our teardrop trailer, piled on their ends in a stuff sack in a bin, and even after excursions on unreliable roads, we have never experienced any issues with breaking or chipping. (Consider occasionally gravel and dirt roads.) Our dishes are tiny and can fit into a small space, which is useful while traveling in a teardrop. The Corelle dishes that my son and daughter-in-law use on a daily basis are also holding up nicely. They have a pattern on their set, and despite numerous dishwashing cycles, it hasn't faded at all. These were purchased for cocoa with my grandchildren on Christmas morning. They are lovely and authentically Christmassy. They are a little challenging to clean, but a bottle brush would make cleaning them simpler.Absolutely 5 star calibre.However, the one I received had rough edges and chipping, which was obviously a mistake on the part of the packing or quality control department. I hate having to send things back due of problems like this.

When I originally received the cup, I experienced the same issue with the scent as some of the other reviewers here. I tried everything, including washing, soaking, and covering it with a paste of baking soda. I eventually wrote the company, and they responded as follows: "I'm sorry to hear about the odor problem. The majority of cups don't smell, but some of them do. By baking the silicone portion of the cup for an hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, the issue can be fixed. Any leftover mold residue is baked off in this way. It is entirely safe; it is a type of nonstick spray that is intended to help silicone come out of the mold more quickly. We had it tested. If someone accelerates the post-production baking process for any reason, this issue arises." When I followed their advice, the odor was absolutely gone! Right now, I'm delighted with this cup.

I have a dozen or more Sistema microwaveable containers that I usually use with no issues. Even from the company's own country of New Zealand, I have seen a number of extremely poor reviews for these products. Most of these concern:1. not being watertight (Filling them with soup or other liquids and carrying them in lunchbags where they leak)2. While being used in the microwave, it may warp or bubble.There are a few things I believe you should have in mind if you are thinking about buying these products:1. The predominantly red plastic Sistema microwaveable containers are NOT leak proof. With the lids on, they are designed to be heated. If they were leak-proof, the pressure of the steam would probably cause them to blow up. There may be pyrex microwaveable leak-proof containers, however according to the directions, the lids must be removed before cooking.2. My belief is that water-based foods can be reheated, steamed, or briefly boiled in plastic microwaveable containers. They are hardly what I would call kitchenware. The canisters are listed as microwaveable up to 240 degrees Fahrenheit on the bottom. I interpret this to suggest that they are mostly used for steaming and heating to the boiling point of water (the storage containers are rated to 212 degrees F.). According to Tupperware's microwave safety instructions, food that contains OIL or SUGAR should not be heated. Sugar and oil both quickly reach temperatures of 300 degrees F. People who try to microwave food that contains a lot of sugar or oil and little water, in my opinion, are trying to melt their plastic containers.
