Can I use any paper in my printer?

Printers can be particular about the type of paper used. Some printers are designed to work with a specific type of paper, while others can use a variety of paper types. It’s important to check your printer’s specifications to see what type of paper it can use. Using the wrong type of paper can cause problems with your printer, such as paper jams or poor print quality.

Can I use copy paper for printing?

Yes, you can use copy paper for printing. However, the quality of your printouts may not be as high as if you were to use printer paper.

Can you use any paper in an inkjet printer?

The answer is yes and no. If you use plain copy paper in your inkjet printer, it will print just fine. However, the print quality won't be as good as it would be if you used photo paper or other specialized inkjet paper. The ink from your printer will spread out more on plain paper, resulting in less-defined images and text.

Do I need inkjet paper?

If you want your inkjet prints to look their best, you need to start with high-quality paper. Plain copy paper is too thin and will produce disappointing results. Inkjet paper is designed to absorb ink without bleeding or smudging, to produce sharp text and vibrant colors.

HP Printer Paper BrightWhite 24lb, 8.5x 11, 5 Ream Case, 2,500 Sheets, Made in USA From Forest Stewardship Council Certified Resources, 100 Bright, Acid Free, Engineered for HP Compatibility, 203000C Review:

It's not exactly inexpensive, but it is heavy and really brilliant. I gambled and acquired the case. Given the delivery costs and other factors, the offer is truly quite good. I won't need paper for a while, perhaps even a year, but I didn't want to make the 30-minute round trip to Staples. When you take into account petrol costs and the hour I saved by having Amazon deliver it, the overall cost was roughly the same. Therefore, the convenience is a huge bonus, and the paper is excellent. It is dazzling white and smooth (some cheap ink jet paper feels rough in comparison). Small details like this are important. The fact that it NEVER jams, which is something I don't consider until paper does, is a bonus. It has retail packaging. Although I don't intend to sell my extra reams of paper, I believe this would be a wise purchase if you did, given each ream comes in the lovely plastic wrapper depicted in the product image. On this, inkjet ink dries incredibly quickly. Smudges have never appeared on me. Additionally, even though I am aware that I shouldn't use this with my laser printer, it has been reliable. I rate that as a victory.

A-SUB Sublimation Paper 110 Sheets 8.5 x 11 Inches Compatible with Inkjet Printer Especially for Sawgrass Printer 120gsm Review:

This paper performed admirably! I had never used ASUB before, but I was in a bind and needed sublimation paper right away, so I chose this one. I was dubious at first because it is thinner than what I am accustomed to, but as you can see from the image I attached, it transferred my sublimation print nicely. Being a watercolour artist, it was ideal for my artwork on garments. I'd definitely place another purchase.

Strathmore 59-854 Laser Vellum Inkjet Paper, 8.5"x11", 50 Sheets Review:

My primary motivation for purchasing this item was to test its compatibility with an inkjet printer. I have a Canon printer that can be used for a variety of tasks but is specifically made to print huge, excellent images on glossy paper. The image printed perfectly when I put each vellum sheet into the printer one at a time and chose "standard" printing. Of course, wait a few minutes for the printed image to dry completely to prevent smudging the ink. I produce a lot of extremely detailed pen and ink artwork. similar to the woodblock, copper/steel, or printed images from the 15th through the 18th centuries that were carved into such. For reproducing my original image in any size I need to trace onto a larger surface, this vellum with the inkjet ink has worked perfectly. Additionally, unlike printing on regular paper, the vellum's translucence allows for precise placement of the print.I heartily endorse this Strathmore vellum.

A-SUB Sublimation Paper 8.5x11 Inches for Any Inkjet Printer with Sublimation Ink 110 Sheets Letter Size Review:

used with Sublimation Ink on my Epson printer. I have printed T-shirts, plates, and mugs on this paper. It worked perfectly when I tested it on a white T-shirt made of 60% polyester and 40% cotton. When printing T-Shirts, I place a piece of PTFE Teflon Sheet inside the T-Shirt to control bleed through. I print 3 - 11 oz mugs per sheet and the photos transfer 100%. Pictures and a video will demonstrate how vivid the sublimation on the mugs is, along with how much light they reflect.

Hammermill Paper, Copy Plus Paper, 8.5 x 11 Paper, Letter Size, 20lb Paper, 92 Bright, 1 Ream / 500 Sheets (105007R) Acid Free Paper Review:

Good and affordable! I do a lot of printing, and my go-to tiny (cheap) Canon MX522 prints on both sides. I certainly don't have any of the dust or snag problems with paper that others seem to. Either my printer or the paper I use are only halfway decent. In any case, I've owned this printer for more than four years and used Georgia Pacific or Hammermill (similar weight/quality) without trouble for an equal amount of time. You must understand that you get what you pay for after reading all of this, so even though I occasionally use it for double-sided printing, there is occasionally a little leak from the other side. It is also not durable enough to support a high-quality print job on both sides. You'll have to give up a little quality to reduce the amount of paper required for each task, but it's useful for producing as much information as you can on just one sheet of paper rather than two. The fact that I print 25–50 pages per week has made it possible for me to maintain a healthy balance between business expenses and environmental waste.

PPD Inkjet Iron-On White and Light Colored T Shirt Transfers Paper LTR 8.5x11” Pack of 20 Sheets (PPD001-20) Review:

To make a shirt for our daughter's 20th birthday, we purchased these. Print both the front and back of two sides. I had to go back into Publisher and flip the photos because we forgot to do it and the printer didn't have a mirror print. It can be a pain, but you must do it.You must carefully read the instructions as they are somewhat contradictory. It was a bit difficult to iron it on, but we managed. But be careful—it becomes sticky and may adhere to items like the pillowcase you intended to use (particularly for a two-sided garment). Make sure to utilize the provided ironing paper. Due to disregard for the rules, one t-shirt was lost.

Printable Vinyl Sticker Paper for Inkjet Printer - 8.5"x11" 20 Sheets - Matte White Printable Sticker Paper Vinyl by JANDJPACKAGING Review:

I don't often write reviews, but this product really thrilled me! People who purchased other brands of sticker paper sheets claimed in reviews that the sheets smeared even after drying for many minutes and would not feed through their inkjet printer. Given the pricing, I decided to take a chance because I couldn't find any reviews of this device that discussed those problems, either positively or negatively. Glad I did, too! The sheets didn't smudge even right after printing out (I did leave multiple sheets of standard paper under each individual sheet and printed one at a time), and they always fed through my computer! (Inkjet HP Envy) These worked wonderfully and left no residue when I used them to manufacture stickers for t-shirts for super hero costumes. I'm overjoyed with this buy.
