And this bike is much lighter.I did pay for it to be assembled by someone. I started to do it, but I ran out of stock at around 75%. I read that someone had advised you to have it tuned up, so I did. I advise you to do that as well for safety if you're a beginner. My cost was $90.regarding me I'm a muscular 5"9" 215 lb. guy. My body type fits the bike.

We recently ordered this bike for my wife. The box with the bike was well-packed and arrived fast. (See the top photo)All the components came out of the package rather easily. Nothing arrived scratched because everything was covered. (View second image.)The bits were simple to separate, and the packaging was simple to remove. (View third image.)It wasn't too difficult to assemble. There were two sets of instructions included, and somehow it was easier to understand the set with fewer details. Observations regarding assemblyThe shifting cable and one brake cable were already fastened to the handlebars. Before installing the handlebars, make sure to twist them as needed to make them straight.Although the instructions I followed didn't mention it, the front tire of the vehicle has an arrow pointing in the direction of travel. Make sure to properly apply it.The steps for securing the rear rack should be clear, but they weren't in the instructions I followed either.The right brake pad was constantly rubbing against the front rim when I installed them because I've never been able to adjust these types of brakes. I had to take it to my neighborhood bike shop to be adjusted (see sixth image). It was worth the $12 it cost me.When finished, the bike has a nice appearance. Check out the fifth and sixth images.The front rim wasn't true when it arrived, which is the only thing I would classify as a problem. The rim was rubbing the brake pads after the brakes were adjusted. had the nearby bicycle shop repair it. Cost $20 only. I'm not sure if it was that that when it left the factory or if it developed during shipping.

First things first This was purchased through Walmart.com. When it was still 168 here, it was 128 dollars there. In two days after shipping, it arrived. Here it says "1-3 WEEKS"? However, 2 days later, the price is 128 here as well, with a 5-payment option. In many respects, you get what you pay for because it's such a cheap bike, but for about $130, this is a nice cheap bike. Brakes work well. Tires work well. lovely fenders good painting (the silver is stickers though). Not a steel frame, but aluminum. This bike weighs little. lovely wheels lovely saddle This is a good bike if the derailleurs are upgraded to something reasonable. Even if the crank set and wheel bearings are inexpensive, if you don't abuse the bike or weigh much more than 200 pounds, the bike should last for some time. a choice of a big frame and 700c wheels. It's a large bike. Over 6' can comfortably ride... I would say up to 6'4" ". I obtained it for my 6'1" "aged fourteen. He is around 165, so this is ideal for him. He'll ride this one for a few years as long as he doesn't crash it! My parcel was damaged, same as people who purchased it from this Amazon page. Bent rear derailleur hanger. That didn't concern me too much because I knew how to fix it and fully anticipated having to adjust the shifters, derailleurs, and brakes. In general, I believe that this bike is excellent value. The bike was very carefully packaged, and nothing was broken when it arrived. It was fairly quick and simple to put together. It seems like I may need to have the bike's gears and brakes tuned at a bike shop because shifting doesn't seem as smooth as I would have expected and the chain snapped on my first ride. However, I'm not an experienced rider so I can't be quite sure because of this.During my first ride, the chain broke, necessitating the $12 purchase of KMC X8.99 Bicycle Chain (1/2 x 3/32-Inch, 116L, Silver). The Planet Bike A.R.S. Classic bike seat - Men's (black) replaced the saddle, which was rather firm and uncomfortable. Judging by other reviews, it appears likely that I'll need to replace the tires soon as well. I had not rode a bicycle for a very long time. My doctor advised me to work out to lower my triglycerides. I bought this bike because I loved the accessories it had, such a rear rack and fenders. I paid for the item using my employer's 20-year service award. The bike is quite attractive, however the wheels are inadequate. An irritating noise was being generated by the spokes rubbing against one another. Using a gift card from Christmas, I bought two new wheels with 36 spokes. The new rear wheel has a quick release and a shimano freehub, which strengthens the axle. So that the original rear derailleur would still function, I next bought a shimano 7-speed cassette with a 4.5mm spacer. I changed the tires, tubes, and rim tape on the old wheels. Although the original seat is sufficient, I choose to upgrade to the wide Cloud 9 seat because it is more comfortable for me. The improvements greatly increase the bike's quietness and smoothness of the chain shifting. I have high standards for the performance of my vehicles, power tools, and now my new bike. Even if the upgrades weren't necessary, I still like them. I like tinkering with mechanical things because I am a diesel mechanic. The bike is fantastic as is, and the pricing is reasonable.

After doing extensive study on bikes, my husband and I decided on two Schwinn cycles. He bought a cruiser, while I went with this hybrid. It was amazing when I used to ride a beach cruiser in college. It had gears and ran nicely, but because of its weight and thicker tires, riding up hills was pretty challenging. Although I enjoyed my cruiser, it was not practical for long distances when I was biking.My bike was in excellent condition when I got there. Nothing was missing, no spokes were damaged, and the rim wasn't dented. I didn't have any problems. With two children running around, putting it together took my husband and I around 20 minutes. It's simple to put together. For reference, I am 5'2" and 125 lbs.I selected this hybrid bike for a number of reasons.This bike has seven gears. It's sufficient for me to ride comfortably or with resistance on level ground as well as over steeper heels. The first time I rode it, these gears only sometimes became stuck. The gears stopped sticking after some back-and-forth scaling and now switch easily and swiftly.This bike's frame is lightweight. It is lighter than a cruiser but not quite as light as a rode bike. If necessary, I can carry my bike with ease. Even with my gears up, I can ride a little bit more quickly and smoothly because to the bike's lightweight frame. You can raise or lower the seat as necessary thanks to its adjustable height. I prefer to remain more grounded because I am short.The tires are relatively thin. I'd estimate that it is roughly one-third the thickness of a cruiser. The tires are thin, but unlike road bikes, they are inflated, so if necessary, all I have to do is put it on the pump. I can ride more quickly and turn more easily on the thin tires.Front brakes just serve to slow you down. Although I rarely use them, they might be useful. I utilize the back brakes, which are excellent. Of course, if you tinker with them, they might not function well. It's fantastic that the handle bars have brakes. The pedal brakes bother me.Front and rear fenders are included to keep you from being soiled.The back of the bike features a flat area where you may attach a basket or other object to store your belongings. Although not essential, this is nice and practical. I adore the hue. The color is lighter than I expected, but the mint is still quite attractive. The white seat and handle bar grips are gorgeous. The seat, though, is among the most uncomfortable ones I've ever sat in. Under your butt, there lies a hard rock. It's terrible. I really should get something with more padding in its stead. The chair is awful!I'm really happy with my bike overall, with the exception of the seat. Between a road bike and my beloved vintage cruiser, this bike provided me with everything I needed. I would advise buying this bike along with a different seat.

I used to be a bicycle addict, and now I'm making a forced comeback. To ride on the nearby rail line, I needed a cheap bike. Depending on the size and color, these bikes cost different amounts. I went with the large in grey to save $50 off the already affordable cost.To start with, the huge truly measures 58 cm. The typical range for this size is 5'11" to 6'2. Bikes from department stores with handlebars, seats, stems, and grips above. Rear deraileurs that are on par with department shop bikes are dependable and an improvement. There is a single-piece crank on it. These often require more frequent adjusting and lubrication, although some sacrifices have to be made to achieve this pricing. It isn't designed for steep climbs because it is hefty and has only 7 speeds. People who commute frequently may wish to spend a little extra money on a better bike.I enjoy this bike overall. The ergonomics are suitable for this design, and the steel frame rides well. The quality is good, and it should last for a very long time with very minor maintenance.

stating that I am a seasoned bike owner who has always performed my own bike maintenance before beginning his review. I almost always ride, and I can handle all the fundamentals of bike maintenance very well. My beloved Globe Live 1, which I owned for seven years and kept in top shape, is being replaced by this bike. Why was the rating cut? Since I now have two car seats and no longer reside in a level place, I wanted a step-through frame and additional gears. Only the money I could obtain from selling my Globe would I spend on a bike. After conducting extensive market research and failing to locate the desired used item nearby, I made the decision to purchase a "cheap" new bike from Amazon.Even though I've only had my bike for 24 hours, I still wanted to provide a review on my initial thoughts after unboxing, assembly, and the first ride. In a month, I'll update this review once more.I was happy to see it out of the box but still wrapped. I didn't see anything that should have caused alarm, but it seemed to have been packaged neatly. I discovered a few little nicks in the paint while I was unwrapping it. I was on the lookout for some of these because I anticipated finding some. I'm going to get in touch with the business to see if I can get a little piece of matching paint to patch up these nicks and prevent corrosion. They were minimal and within the range of what I anticipated. There didn't seem to be anything out of alignment.Apart from the fact that assembly took three times longer than it should have because I had a five-year-old and a one-year-old "helping," everything went fine. took around 90 minutes, although I would have needed only 30 if I had been by myself. I didn't feel the need to utilize the directions because I thought they were quite simple, but I did so anyway just to see how they went since other reviews had complained about them. I thought the instructions were excellent. I DO advise you to make sure you already have some bike lube on hand. You should have at LEAST lubricant and a pump as a bike owner to start. One of the pedals couldn't be screwed in without the lubrication, which was recommended in the directions on several occasions. I took a little longer to line the front wheel properly. I advise watching a YouTube video to understand how to assemble the bike if you are doing it yourself and have never worked on a bicycle. It's typical for it to require some force to enter. Once I put it in, I did notice that the fork was very slightly misshaped. It may have been slightly smashed from the side in the package, so all it needed was a vigorous stomp in the opposite direction to fix it. However, I don't always advise using my technique. After taking care of that, I adjusted and aligned the brakes. If you are unfamiliar with this, the instructions advise taking it to a bike shop. wise advice! However, learning how to do it yourself is one of the most crucial tips if you intend to ride frequently, so don't be scared to seek up some YouTube tutorials and do it yourself. The brake pads were also completely removed, and I roughed them up with sandpaper. to stop screeching There's a chance they didn't even squeak, but I highly doubt it. Every time I've replaced brake pads on a bike, they needed to be slightly roughed up first.The rest was very simple; just make sure you follow the directions.My first lap around the block went nicely, and everything seemed to be functioning as it should. I DO want to take it to a more seasoned bike technician for a thorough check-up after I've rode it for a few weeks to ensure everything is operating properly and that I haven't missed anything.Bikes frequently go through a settling-in period, so even when professionally assembled, it is sense to return it after around 20 hours of riding to have it checked over one more. By that time, I imagine my wheels will require trueing, specifically having the spokes properly tightened, which is a little above what I'm capable of doing.I took away a star for the nicks, the fact that the bell doesn't ding at all (no worries, I already have a far better bike bell), and the fact that it is undoubtedly a simple, inexpensive "made in China" bike. however, so far, it to be a fairly excellent bike for the cost.Do not hesitate to take it to a bike shop if you are scared by assembly! You can ask to watch and be guided through basic bike maintenance as they assemble bikes for $30 to $50 on average. Not only will you know it's been put together correctly (and if there's anything "wrong," they'll know how to fix it), but you'll also gain some valuable knowledge about bike maintenance.UPDATE: After riding the bike three times, the gears began to behave erratically. After I adjusted them up, they started shifting easily once more, and they haven't given me any trouble on any of the rides since.Critical Cycles informed me they were out of olives Rene and probably wouldn't be getting any in the near future when I DID contact them about acquiring some paint for touch-up. That disappointed me. They did promise to send me a complimentary gift in its place, so even though I still need to paint my bike with nail polish, I DO have some complimentary nicer tires on the way! This brings me to my next update, which is that the bike's stock tires are of fairly poor quality. They are basic, inexpensive road tires that struggle to maintain air pressure.Overall, I'm still content with the bike.
