I have been performing Frame Up vintage road bike restorations for many clients. even the paint is custom. The cost of upgrade parts is a limiting factor on these older bikes. I discovered that these budget wheels satisfied the requirements. These wheels, which I recently bought, were of reasonable quality considering their cost. They have a "handmade" appearance.I verified the truing (lateral, radial, and dish). One rear wheel had a small amount of freehub runout. It was sufficient to obstruct the derailer indexing. When the Park was used to check the wheel tension, it revealed that all spokes, both in the front and the back, were within the accepted industry norm of a 20% tolerance. a sign of hand construction. Within 1mm, the front wheel was perfectly aligned. The back was a little out to the side. No huge deal. I couldn't accept the radial since it was too far. Radial tweaks, in my opinion, take far too long to correct. A brand-new wheel shouldn't jump.Crosslake Sales, the vendor, returned my call right away. They were extremely educated and thorough. On this rear wheel, they fixed the Freehub body and radial run-out problems. They sent me a replacement rear wheel right away. Prior to shipping the wheel to me, they promised to check it. I quickly got the replacement. considerably better packaged than the original pair. FYI, the brake surfaces had a few minor nicks from loose packaging with the original packaging. However, the replacement rear wheel was supplied "flawless," which was better than several expensive wheels I've bought. These are inexpensive, entry-level wheelsets. For the pricing point, these work good for my application. This wheelset comes highly recommended. Crosslake Sales is a well-known seller who values customer pleasure. Investigate them. I was expecting my wheels to have a 44 tooth, so I'm a little bummed that they only have a 30 or so tooth.Buy from BBR/Bikeberry at all times. The ones I bought were of inferior quality, and the sprocket was not drilled in the centre, causing it to be permanently out of true. I purchased them from gasbike, kingsmotors, performance parts, and many other names, but the same guys out of Van Nays.Bikeberry would have provided me a 44 teeth sprocket, but I needed to finish this build right now and have many parts.

This is due to the fact that the total cost of each component might quickly start to exceed the cost of a full wheel. Remember that.Just to be crystal clear: I purchased this matched Sta-Tru front wheel from Amazon and a Sta-Tru rear wheel locally.I have a Trek 3700 mountain bike from the mid-2000s with 26 "Quick-release wheels and front and rear V brakes are used. I also have a TREK Navigator 100 comfort bike, which is even older and has 26" wheels "Front and back V-brakes and QR wheels. OEM wheel sets are almost identical on both bikes.As I was in the middle of rebuilding both bikes, I rapidly found that both sets of wheels had issues, with either bent rims or worn-out axle components and hubs - and one bad spoke. So, I made the decision to save them by mixing and matching all of the good parts to create one functional pair, which would then be put on the Navigator 100. Naturally, I would mount the fresh set of Sta-Tru wheels on the 3700.Concerning these wheels:You truly can't go wrong here, especially for the price. When compared side by side, these wheels are at least as good as the ones they replace. With almost any side-to-side wobble and no apparent egging, both wheels were in good alignment. Installation is a breeze because the QR axles are nearly the same length as the originals. I didn't need to change anything. They were an ideal match. The QR skewers look pretty good and are quite polished. They'll surely dress up any bike.The only thing I don't like about them is that I could only find silver in these wheels. Yes, sadly, my old wheels are dark in color. My TREK 3700 now has a slightly brighter, less threatening appearance compared to when it had the original black wheels. This is a fantastic backup wheel or replacement for a child's balance bike. This item fits well on the front wheel of my Strider 14x, but the rear "axle" is too short. Instead of using a strider 12, which is what they were designed for, I want to mount the strider skis on a 14x. Although this kit is relatively simple and sparse, it is one of the better basic kits available because it comes with a Twist throttle and is inexpensive.All save the battery wire, batteries, and battery bag are included in the package.This is the kit to use if you want to accurately replicate a tiny displacement motorcycle.The literature is bad; it's not a trustworthy source of knowledge. The photographs are practically useless for their intended usage because they are so little.To get good references, it is preferable to search on YouTube or look up instructions from individuals who have built these kits.Installing this item is a real pain in the rear. To get the inner washers into the rear wheel mount, I had to first remove the rear derailleur, the right side locking washer, and then attempt to hold the rear frame open widely.It took 20 minutes of battling this and having to go back and take stuff out in order to get the wheel in place. The bolts are then gradually adjusted and tightened to align the wheel.If you want a strong acceleration off the line, you will need to pedal a little while to get it rolling because the low speed torque and acceleration is not present.If your bike has a 7 speed rear shifter, you will not be able to align the shifter to this new freewheel since the cassette gears (it's a free Freewheel) are only 6 speeds. You must switch to a shifter with six speeds.Additionally, realigning the back derailleur so that you can utilize the gears is a major challenge.The largest freewheel gears can be used without damaging the wheel, but it required some time to get it aligned to use the low gears, and the freewheel is quite tough to adjust the shifter too. The maximum derailleur travel distance should be observed.The bike can accelerate effectively and hold speed, and sure, it will exceed the 25 mph city speed limit once the bottom gears are in alignment and you can cycle off the line.This kit already has the cassette (also known as the freewheel or the gears) mounted, but it is a 6-speed arrangement. It is not a 7-speed, therefore you will need to redesign the rear gears with a 6-speed shifter layout if you want the shifter to function. If you don't do this, the shifter will still be able to be aligned to use the highest and lowest gears, but anything in between will shift poorly and provide a difficulty.Additionally, because the 7 speed freewheels are too wide, you cannot swap the gears for a 7 speed.Since the battery connection cables are 12 Gage, you will also require wire crimpers and 12 or 10 Gage terminals.Only the throttle has a twist function; the grip handle as a whole does not.
