Since patch adhesive doesn't really work all that well, I've been using these to sew patches to denim.In the process, not a single one has broken. So far, so good; these offer great value and perform on par with or even better than leather stitching needles from other well-known brands. Strong and incredibly smooth. The Outus needle is on the right in the photo I tried to take of the details. The Outus has the exact same diameter, is just slightly shorter (perhaps 0.5mm or 1/64"), and has a sharper tip, which is presumably where the extra tiny bit of length went. The eyelet is practically same (same width, which is crucial for me). Although not particularly sharp, the tip is extremely precise and unmistakably sharp. To slightly round them so they won't pierce or rip the thread in a saddle stitch as easily, I'll drag these over a piece of fine sandpaper. Additionally, these needles come in a very useful tube for simple storage. I'm happy with them overall and will order from them again.

I tried Dritz's sewing needles because I had fallen in love with their thimble designed especially for long nails. Due to the fact that I am sewing multiple patches onto a garment I bought expressly for patches, I was looking for fresh needles. I had some inexpensive sewing needles in an old sewing kit that I was using, but I have to report that they struggled to get through the fabric and bent and distorted. It should go without saying that I was in desperate need of a different course of action.
