My hair was bone straight and relaxed, but this curl cream gave it gorgeous spiral curls. I originally bought this to use with my curly extensions, and it works great with them. I chose to give it a shot on my hair. When my hair was quite short in the past, I did wash and go curls. I wasn't sure if it would curl because it is now shoulder length (my natural hair is loose wavy). I applied two pumps to very damp hair, and as it dried naturally, it began to magically become curlier and curlier until I had a head full of lovely, soft, bouncy curls that I could easily touch. This brings out the best in my naturally curly hair's curls. I scrunch my diffuser through my damp hair. Hair has distinct, non-frizzy curls. The following day, I applied my dry curls to revive my curls. Oh, and if you like coconut, the smell is divine:) My hair isn't left sticky either.I also like to thank Amazon Customer Service for assisting me with this goods. This is what transpired: Two blender bottles and a plastic water bottle were included in the box that my cream came in. Without any air pillows or padding to prevent them from colliding during transportation, all of the products were placed inside the box. My hair cream's cover was fractured and damaged, letting some cream leak out. I made a call to customer service to let them know my lid was broken. She expressed her regret profusely and promised to give me a replacement. To prevent it from happening again, I requested that she have them package it better. She expedited the cream when I contacted on a Friday, and it arrived on Monday at no further expense to me. The cream was properly wrapped and delivered without incident. I didn't make any purchases on Amazon, but I will going forward! I paid about $5 or $6 for what I bought at Walmart. I've used every black or mixed-race woman's product on the market. To mention a few, there is Shea Moisture, Mixed Chicks, Tresemme, and Carol's Daughter. None actually worked, and they were all quite expensive. Because it was SO inexpensive, I didn't have great expectations. However, I've been using all Cantu products for the past two weeks, including this curl activator, cowash, deep conditioning mask, spray moisturizer, and moisturizer. It seems like I'm sporting a weave or wig. My curls are perfectly defined, silky, and curly. It's truly surreal. I really can't express how much I adore this item, and it's SO inexpensive! $$ I truly don't understand it, but in this situation, you GET SO MUCH MORE for your money than you bargained for!

By far the best item I've ever used. My grandson has silky hair with tight curls, but I haven't yet identified his hair type because I'm new to this. All of my children had straight hair. Anyway, his lovely curls started off straight and tidy, but towards the end of the day, previous lotions I've tried have made them a frizzy disaster. Instead of leaving his hair crunchy like many other creams with a better hold, this cream holds all day long. I would unquestionably suggest for his hair type.

I received this item as a Christmas present. The several positive reviews convinced me to add it to my wish list. I must admit that I've tried product after product because I've had hair problems ever since I can remember. I use a straightener every day of my life since middle school since I have a lot of curly hair. My hair has changed significantly so far, and I can definitely tell. I'd say the product really lives up to its claims. I often use it to damp or wet hair after a shower. After that, I straighten and blow-dry it. My hair feels smoother, is more lustrous, has less frizz, and flat irons more quickly. In contrast to all the other products I've used, it doesn't weigh my hair down and leaves no nasty behind. Other products make it uncomfortable to run my hands through my hair or make it feel weighed down. I have about ten unopened bottles of hair products that made the same claims but fell short. That this product won't turn out like the others pleases me. Will undoubtedly buy more. Although the lotion initially has a somewhat strong smell, it is ultimately worthwhile!

This item is alright. Now that I have brown skin, the curl activator cream I used yesterday had already hydrated my hair. I advise wearing gloves because this process was dirty (even though I did not, but I will from now on). It applies a little bit damp and sets (at least in my hair) in about 20 minutes. Be extremely careful since it does flake a little bit and does leak onto things. If my hair was newly washed, dried without moisturizer, and styled, it might remain in longer. I have told them the name of the product and have gotten MANY compliments. In a few days, I'll provide an update with further details on the longevity. I am handling it well thus far.

I seem to have tried every gel ever produced. This "lotion" is more like a gel than a lotion, and because mousse never works for me, I recommend giving this lotion a try if you often use gel. The frizz is tamed without being crunchy. Of course, if you use a ton, it might be, but once the curls are dry, simply give them a little squeeze, and the crunchy goes away.

My best friend really wanted purple highlights and hair, but her job doesn't allow it. We experimented with a few different programs. Our favorite technique is to dip a comb into some mascara and simply smear it through your hair or updo to add highlights. I advise washing your hair, applying your hair wax on wet hair, then styling if you want colored tips, unless you're aiming for a strong wax, spiky effect. Don't go overboard. Depending on how you apply it, it won't ever appear as like you've dyed it the color from the jar, but it's still a lot of fun and can be bold. Do not apply it in the same manner as hair dye. You'll get waxed knots as a result. Her medium dark skin made the purple on her stand out and look wonderful. I had a darker brown color, which was apparent in the sunlight. Ideal for quirky hairstyles or costumes. It is wax, so washing is rather simple. After styling my hair, I placed my comb in the dishwasher, where it was well cleaned.
