I can't believe I put off purchasing these lovely items for so long. These curlers give you magnificent curls that linger for days and are really simple to use. This is the only heatless curling technique I've tried that actually works, despite using sleep stylers, braiding, boho headbands, and every other video on YouTube.The package includes seven various sizes of rollers and a lovely zipped carrying box. Only the two largest sizes were used (blue and pink).When I first used them, I wrapped them like typical rollers starting at the bottom. Once you learn how to crimp the ends, they are simple to retain in place. (Hint: You'll need to bend the edges up into a "U" shape if you're rolling away from your face, which most of you probably will be. They must be positioned the other way, with the ends pointing downward, if you are rolling in the direction of your face.) I had wonderfully bouncy, Shirley Temple-style curls, and I slept in them. They were actually quite sproingy for a woman in her thirties, so I actually had to spend some time pulling on them to get the curls to straighten out.I changed my rolling method the second time to achieve looser curls. I pressed the roller on my head and wrapped my damp hair around the barrel away from my face after a nightly shower. My hair's ends were slightly protruding as a result of this approach, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The curls appeared much more organic. (When I originally curled them, the ends were completely curled, and it kind of looked crazy.) When I removed the curlers in the morning, I had lovely, loose curls that appeared to have been styled with a curling iron (it was the same look I get from spending 30 minutes with my 1" curling iron). I was so happy I almost cried. I'm done with heat styling!They're not the most pleasant to sleep in, but if you position them correctly (cluster them around your ears and on top of your head, leaving the back of your head uncovered), you can get away with a soft cushion. To be clear, I had no trouble sleeping with them, but I like to sleep on my back.Even if you're new to hair styling, I believe these are really simple to use and you shouldn't have any trouble using them. Having said that, even though I don't work in the hair industry, I know how to use a curling iron and can very easily style my hair to look the way I want it to. I'm replacing a Remington hot curler immediate heat set that I've had for a long time, which has 5 large and 5 small curls. Although they don't heat up in 90 seconds like the other sets I've tried that all claim to, these are still hot enough to use after around 5 minutes. You MUST make sure that every curler is seated perfectly on the base in order for them to properly heat up. There seem to be some mounts that don't get as hot as others as I move them between places. Nevertheless, there is a noticeable sensory difference. Love that this set has eight large rollers and scarcely takes up any more space with twelve rollers than my previous set of 10. This definitely meets my desire for compactness because I travel.I am happy that these don't include the large plastic jaw clips because those often cause my hair to tangle oddly. Since I used roller U-pins like the ones in this set growing up, there are no problems. Insert at an angle and in the opposite direction from the roll. These pins are pleasant and soft and not stabby because the ball ends are larger. My mother was stabbed. UGH.Overall, I'm happy with this set. The rollers will continue to be used, and I'll experiment with getting them fully seated on the base. The deeper roller grooves perform better than the previous EMI set I've been using, and they immediately produce nice, soft curls.

I've come to the conclusion that thick hair is not compatible with rollers. Although a curling iron works better, I really adore these.I still have white skin and incredibly thick, coarse hair that extends past my shoulders (to give you context). In order to use both sets simultaneously, I actually bought an extra set, but even then I only fully cover my head! I would therefore reheat and reset each roller four times if I only had one! As it is, I still only do half of my head in 2 sets. Since the finest aesthetic is achieved with precisely placed chunks, I'm not sure how much time it actually saves me. The clips are also quite awful. Two of my ten came with prongs that were entirely misaligned and didn't interweave at all. But since two sets are already so expensive, I don't want to buy any more. I believe it is healthier than using a curling iron frequently.To create a more natural appearance, position rollers in various orientations.In the end, they function well enough for me, though I probably wouldn't recommend them to others.

If I don't use any products, my hair has the texture of silk on freshly shucked corn. Although I have a good amount of hair, the thin strands can make my hair appear lifeless and flat. Because they were so inexpensive, I figured it wouldn't hurt to test them. My hair has never had a better shape than it does now after I used them this morning, and it hardly took any time at all! I didn't go for full-on body because it was my first attempt, but my hair has a really great form that I couldn't get without spending some time with a blow-dryer and round brush. This requires a lot less heat and requires a lot less work.The method I used to give my hair some bounce is as follows:-Shampoo/conditioner with body-enhancing ingredients (whichever is your favorite) - when conditioning hair is sitting, comb through it.-After getting out of the shower, add volumizing mousse, comb hair with the head upside down, and cover in a towel. While you apply your makeup, etc., let this sit for about 15 minutes.- Remove towel when hair is about halfway dry, then blow-dry upside-down. To prevent fly-aways and keep the strands straight, I use a round brush.-Blow-dry hair with the head up until it is 95% dry to eliminate any flyaways.-Starting at the top of your head in the back, take little parts, lifting each section at the root. Spray some hairspray at the root, then brush it with a round brush while holding your head straight up to line the strands upright. For a brief period of blow-drying to heat the hair, wrap it loosely around the roller from the ends to the scalp.-While the hair sets, leave in for around 10 minutes. During this moment, I flat ironed my hair's bottom layer, which I had not rolled up. Put your fingers through the roller's center to remove them; as it unwinds, gently pull. Make sure to work backwards, beginning with the previous roller you inserted.I was worried while it was setting because I have really fine hair and assumed I would get a ton of tangles, but to my amazement, they came out without any tangles or snags. I think a portion of it was because I originally tried wrapping them loosely. I'm going to try wrapping them a little tighter on a weekend day to get a little curl and see how it goes.

Because I normally leave my hair straight and dull, I wanted to style it for work. However, I am frequently pressed for time in the morning, and I also don't want to use an iron and harm my hair. I therefore acquired these hot rollers. I've already tried this and loved it, though with a different brand. However, I didn't like the clip they used for the rollers because it caused a kink in my hair. These ones won't kink because, as you can see, they are tiny wires. They performed admirably!It requires work. To perfect your technique, first try doing it with cold objects. I began by wrapping the roller many times with maybe an inch or two of hair (of the same length), then I rolled my hair over the ends to secure it. Now that the bottom end of the rollers is extremely hot and has burned my finger, I hold the rollers with the end that faces up out of the tray. It's okay if you grip the end that protruded. I then wrap the wire clip around it with my other free hand. It will unroll a few inches if it isn't installed such that the longer end is parallel to your hair. My first few strands were HORRIBLE. It was a total disaster. However, by the time I performed a few more, I had mastered the method. Don't give up because it will take some practice. I think the results are still excellent even though I severely coiled half of my hair! View the images. I want to use my rollers every day since I adore them. As I learn additional techniques, I'll publish more pictures.The orange/red sticker on one of them will become white when it is ready, although it doesn't say that. They're a lot of fun! I put a few of them on to see how they hung, and I really liked the natural-looking curls that emerged when I let them go. The nicest aspect about them is that they don't damage your hair because they don't use heat and are quite simple to put on.
