I was intending to wait a few months before I could see the effects of the rosehip seed oil's magic, but I just couldn't wait because this is such a fantastic product. I am 66 years old, and long before sunscreen was required as part of our skincare routine, I spent all of my teenage years in San Diego on the beaches. Since I entered the cosmetics and skincare profession in my early 20s and spent 25 years there, I have taken good care of my skin. But the harm has already been done, and despite using several lotions and creams, none of them have been able to undo the sun's affects, which are visible everywhere from my hairline to my cleavage. Long after I changed careers, I discovered that because creams and lotions contain molecules that are too large to penetrate the epidermis, the top layer of skin, they cannot even begin to repair damage to the complexion. Oils can hydrate the skin at a somewhat deeper level than lotions since they contain much smaller molecules. Keep in mind that the FDA must classify and promote any product that has the potential to cause noticeable changes in the skin as a medication. Due to its propensity to lighten scars, I am going from argan oil—which is wonderful—to rosehip seed oil. The purchase is worthwhile only for this feature. However, the oil also moisturizes and softens my skin while it is on my body. It's quite an accomplishment for skin that has gone through what mine has experienced to still feel smooth, silky, and moist after washing it off. Do I expect it to perform miracles? That would be absurd, so no. But I still want to nourish my skin with a high-quality oil. In all the years I've sold skincare, nothing has ever left my skin feeling better. I generally avoid spending a lot of money on hair products because I believe that drugstore brands are just as effective. But after using a free trial of this product and observing that my hair looked much better after being blown dry and that the volume and shine persisted longer, I made the decision to buy a full bottle. To my dismay (since I'm a beauty cheapskate), this is actually far superior to the L'Oreal and Garnier products I've been purchasing at my neighborhood drugstore, so I will keep using it. I've been going about this all wrong. LOL. The results of my costly perm kits have consistently been bad.As a result, the first perm didn't take at all, and the second was terrible, so I went to a salon twice for one perm.It was done by my girlfriend using a $20 somewhat priced perm kit, and the results were decent but not outstanding.Since I was overdue, I reasoned that since this product has decent Amazon reviews, it must be a good one.It differs in a variety of ways. To improve curling, it features a pre-conditioner for your hair. It's never been said before. This conditioner does not impede the perm, unlike conventional conditioner. The hair is much simpler to curl and is easier to untangle.The presence of a final conditioner to be applied to the hair AFTER the perm is finished is a second difference. Never before have you said that. Works well immediately after the perm to prevent frizzing and drying out.The paper wrapping are included with it. LOL.Oh, and the instructions are excellent. That's novel. LOL. The instructions contain information that no other perm kit I have seen—which, to be fair, is not many—has ever stated. All of the other perm kits advise stopping the perm procedure no later than 20 minutes after the hair has been exposed to the curling agent.THIS STATES 45 MINUTES FOR HAIR THAT IS DIFFICULT TO PERM! I gave it 45 minutes, and for the first time, it curled flawlessly. This $5 item featured better instructions and a few extras, making it the greatest perm kit I've used so far and one I'd use frequently going forward. There is no need to pay more.The BAD, well, they do save money on a few things. It does not give the plastic shower cap, which is essential, nor a set of inexpensive plastic gloves, but we had some so that was fine. So come on over; they only cost about 10 cents. That was not so good because we lacked one and had to improvise.Although the cotton coil is included, which is fantastic, it is not big enough to wrap around a baby's head. Get some then.For me, the flaws can be easily fixed the second time around, but now that you are aware of them, you can adjust.Any price will do for this fantastic product. At $5. It is a fantastic product.

Frizz-free hair that looks fantastic. Even with spray, I could not wear a ponytail before. I can now. After four weeks of use, I am unable to function without it. Buy it, I promise it will eliminate your frizz problem! If Alterna continues to produce products as well, I might switch to switching everything.

I tried Ogilvie since the only home perm I had ever used, Lilt, is no longer available. It's a great at-home perm! My hair appears as good as any perm from a salon. I left the curling lotion on for five minutes, but I think two minutes will be plenty the next time. Very pleased with the outcomes. I used to pay $100 for a permanent, but not anymore. Right now, this is my favorite line of hair products. My Caucasian hair is wavy and curly, and I appreciate how these products control frizz and maintain curls. I've experimented with using these to wash my hair and now follow a reliable procedure. I begin by washing my hair with shampoo (a little goes a long way), followed with the knot today conditioner (apply a little at a time until there are no knots), and then I spritz my hair with cold water (part of the conditioner lingers in because I don't rinse thoroughly). Then, while my hair is still damp, I add a tiny quantity of the custard gel to the length and ends. When my hair is still very wet, I part it, brush a little to style it, and then flip it front and back to prevent flattening from brushing (more volume basically). I wet my hair, possibly apply some conditioner to detangle, and use the spiral spritz in place of the gel if I need to style it in between shampooings. It causes beach waves in my hair (no curls usually, but still unique and beautiful and soft). My hair feels really silky even after using just the shampoo (frizzy without the other products, though).
