If your floorboards are uneven, you can use self-leveling compound to level them out. This compound is a type of cement that will fill in any gaps and make your floorboards level. You will need to apply the compound with a trowel and then smooth it out. Once it dries, it will be hard and level.
You can sleep in your house after polyurethane, but it is not the most ideal situation. The fumes from the polyurethane can be quite strong and can cause headaches, dizziness, and nausea. It is best to wait at least 24 hours before sleeping in your house after the polyurethane has been applied.
You may need to prime your floor before self levelling if the surface is very absorbent. This will help the self levelling compound to adhere better and create a smoother, more even finish.
Most self levelling compounds are designed to be used without the need for a sealant, however, some manufacturers may recommend the use of a sealant. If you are unsure, it is always best to check with the manufacturer before applying a sealant.

The product is excellent and is simple to use and clean. I first just ordered one gallon, which was insufficient for a 42 by 42 inch shower stall. I placed a second gallon order, which was adequate. I used hardie board, which has a high absorption rate. Due to the fact that both shipments arrived damaged and necessitated 2 gallons, there are only 4 ratings instead of 5. From both gallons, about a pint spilled during delivery. The container's lid is not particularly secure, and the shipper or packer neglected to use padding or dunnage. The contents of the package bounce around since it is transported in an oversized box. Paint is quite expensive, so packaging should be handled with more care. I was really upset to discover that two distinct orders were ruined.

If you've never finished, sealed, or sanded floors, make sure you're fully (over) prepared. Visit the Bona website to read the product's technical data sheet and instructions. Watch videos on YouTube. Have all of the equipment and supplies prepared and ready to use. Before starting, be aware of what to anticipate to avoid unwanted shocks.The finish on and dries as promised, albeit we gave it 24 hours and pole sanded in between coats (we did three coats). According to my approximate room estimations, one coat of finish covered 500–600 square feet, just as the Bona Technical Data sheet claimed. In the two rooms that we covered, we are really pleased with the results (finishing both rooms the same evening, moving from the first room backward into the second room). We sealed the rooms made of light maple and cedar, and so far no issues or discolorations have been found. Keep yourself from boxing yourself in. Have a plan of escape! For our project, coat one of the finish required more material than coats two and three (the very bottom of the jug). Prior to moving furniture into the rooms, we let the floors cure for about a week at 68F (we finished the floors in December, before moving into the home). We then waited at least 24 hours before spending any time in the rooms.I would absolutely buy Bona sealer and finish products again if I am a masochist enough to refinish further floors in the future (edging is the absolute worst!). The process's completion was the easiest part.

The top waterproofing product currently available. Although it states that the fabric is not required, I added it for peace of mind and because some of my work had gaps greater than 1/8", I felt it would be worthwhile to add the fabric. If you apply two good coatings to the wall, one coat to the hardibacker base, and two more coats to the deck mud beneath the tile or mortar, you can usually get by with just two gallons. Put on rubber gloves because the substance spreads everywhere and needs to be scrubbed off of your hands after drying, which doesn't take long. Fortunately, I shared the 5 gallon container with a buddy who was also planning a shower repair. When all is said and done, we should have about a gallon left over.

I've never used this product before, but I'd use it again without a doubt. We added a shower and renovated the bathroom. As long as you clean up before it dries, there were no strong odors that I had to deal with. For this, I purchased really cheap paint brushes, and after finishing it, I threw them away. Additionally, I was using a fan to ventilate the bathroom (I had been told that it might be smelly because the red waterproofing from another company is very smelly). I ended up painting the walls three times. The hard way taught me that the substance works. My tiles ended up somewhat stretching over onto the drywall since I only painted the cement board and didn't paint the drywall next to the shower. To keep the tile trim clean, I taped it off before painting the walls. When I removed the tape after painting, it pulled all of the paint off the drywall, all the way down to the drywall mud. We then saw that the wall was still damp due to the tile. We gave it some time to dry, added a small layer of mud, gave it more time to dry, and then painted it again. The next time, I'll make sure to cover anything and anything that might come into contact with tile! Simply brush it into the corners of the walls and roll them to apply this material. really vivid blue

One of our homes has luxury sheet vinyl flooring. It was stunning but unappealing. Nevertheless, this product performs amazingly! Although the instructions call for 4 coats, I think that's too many for this sheet vinyl. For instance, I applied 4 coats in one of the bathrooms, and the finish is quite glossy. However, applying three coats in the kitchen, utility room, and other bathroom was ideal. But this product's greatest feature is that it is also SCUFF-resistant and a SEALER! In actuality, we wash the floor with a microfiber mop and Odo Ban Neutral pH wet floor cleanser (available here on Amazon). This is great since it DOES NOT REQUIRE RINSING.Just apply THIN coatings if you're using this product. DON'T lay down heavy coatings. In fact, I applied it flawlessly while on my hands and knees with an old, clean washcloth. I could perfectly access the baseboards and corners this way. Depending on the weather and humidity, it takes 30 minutes to an hour to dry. I gave it an hour to dry between coats just to be sure, and an hour later I had no trouble walking on them. On my hands and knees, I applied three coats of paint, which took a little while, but if you own a home, this is how to acquire a flawless finish. Machines are employed in environments such as retail or wholesale. Oh, and there is no need for buffing or burnishing. This substance applies clear, solidly, glossy, and scuff- and STUFF-RESISTANT... is simple to maintain and clean. Our favorite!

This is amazing stuff. To thoroughly waterproof my tub surround all the way up to the ceiling, I needed 2 gallons. I intended to make the new wall impenetrable because the tile and mud wall I tore out was leaking. A surface membrane like Hydro Ban has the benefit of stopping any water from leaking beneath the tile before it enters the cement board. firmly resists the musty odor that can develop from a constantly moist shower.Its bonding to the tub flange and pipes was extremely appealing to me. The tub spout's stub out was simple to waterproof, and there is a continuous waterproof barrier running the length of the walls and onto the tub deck. Use the reinforcing fabric around plumbing cutouts, between cement board and tub, and in corners for optimal results. Although Laticrete claims Hydro Ban can cross gaps up to 1/8", it truly reinforces the waterproofing job and is a cheap insurance against a future leak.
