I purchased this to give to my 6-year-old niece. This one is far better than the older version that my daughter's niece adored. My daughter now wants to get this one! The bird's beak moves in a manner that gives the impression that it is speaking, and the color-changing wings are a lot of fun. Because of some other negative reviews, I was hesitant to buy this, but I'm pleased I took a chance and ignored them. My 2-and-a-half-year-old grandson enjoys this. As a birthday present, my 5-year-old daughter picked this cute puppy from hundreds of different puppy toy images on Amazon.
