My beloved Bose earphone, which had a tear near the earbuds, was difficult for me to repair. The wire's outer rubber had a tear in it. It first appeared on the surface and then began to spread as time went on. Fortunately, the tear only extended to the surface and had not yet gotten to the wires. But it's obvious that it was just a question of time. I had to move quickly if I wanted to prolong its life by a few years. I started using electrical tapes, the kind that has a little give to it so it can endure regular use. But the tape would begin to come off in a matter of days. Not to mention that the dangling wire's plasticky sensation against the skin was unpleasant. I then looked for potential alternatives on Google and discovered heat shrink tubing. Since it won't be physically possible to slide one in from the ends, this was unfortunately not an option. I then gave self-adhesive tapes a shot. Poor decision. These tapes are most likely intended for uses where the surface is still. does not apply in the slightest to something as adaptable as earbuds. I eventually came across these liquid ink. Issue is resolved. The trick is to use numerous thin coats rather than a few thin ones. The outcome would be fantastic if you are patient and apply numerous coats with enough time between each for each layer to cure. Now my earbuds are working perfectly.

I've used those other, quite pricey ones. The more costly ones stretch better, likely seal and protect better, but when removed, they leave a black stain. Since I reside in the desert, it may get quite warm. They met my automobile needs. These are ideal because I had to temporarily tape some wires. We'll have to wait and see how they do since I haven't had them for a full year. But so far, they are excellent for the price.

Some responses from seasoned users: I apologize if this has already been said; I don't have time to read every ToR review.Since it became a product, I have utilized it. If you are proactive and apply one or two reinforcement wraps of black duct (Gorilla) tape or heat shrink (if you can get it over the connector type) to Apple device users' magcharge or mobile device, USB charging cables when they are brand new, then cover that area with 2, 3, or even four layers of this stuff - right in that spot where we all have the cables flex until they eventually fray and the insulation opens near the connector end - you will not have to replace the cables.Every Apple MacBook or iOS gadget we own has the original charging wire, and this includes versions dating back to the first-generation iPods and MacBooks from before 2008. Many of the cables are white with black ends because they initially didn't have a white option. Anyway.I apply this substance to everything. Use it wherever you don't want moisture to accumulate. It works wonderfully for sealing any exposed bolt threads (jeep bumper). I've even used it to coat the circuit boards in e-cigarette batteries. Only extremely high temperatures exceeding a few hundred degrees Fahrenheit and heavy wear areas can be used; nevertheless, on other insulation, such as cables, it adheres better. I hope this is useful to other potential customers. If you clean and tighten the lid, place the bottle in a ziploc bag, and let the air out, the bottle will last a very long time.

I purchased this electrical tape to repair some light fixtures I had recently purchased. I got four fluorescent shop lights from Lowe's and replaced the regular fluorescent bulbs with LED replacement bulbs (which came with tombstones). It is necessary to open the fixture and remove the "ballast" component in order to convert from fluorescent to LED lighting. The big brick that has all the wires running through it is essentially what jump starts the fluorescent lights. LED bulbs are directly wired and do not require this.In order to avoid having to strip the wires, I cut the necessary wires as needed and pulled the ones from the power line out of the ballast before removing it. Added the colored wires that were included with the new tombstones. I then connected them all using the correct twist-on wire covers and tape, along with the required connections. If you want to make it particularly simple to recognize the connections you are making, the numerous colors of tape come in helpful. In order to keep the extra length of wire from coming undone when I was reinstalling the fixture's cover, I used the white for the white wires, the red for the black ones, and the green to bind and hold it all together. I have no problems whatsoever because the tape performed just as it should have.To those who are not particularly familiar with measurements, I would like to point out that this tape is just 1/2 inch broad "wide. The standard size of electrical tape sold in stores is 3/4 "wide, a little wider, and sometimes simpler to use. This didn't matter to me and in no way prevented me from finishing the wiring I was working on, but it might have been important to other people. If you don't mind that and want electrical tape in several distinguishable colors, acquire this cute small kit and you can be sure it will do the trick.

This brand of tape is usually available at the dollar store. Since I usually have wires falling apart and need to tape them to keep using them, I chose to buy it online even though I've been buying it there for years. My iPhone charger is connected to one of those lines. I discovered that with them, the tape needs to be tightly wrapped around the wire. The adhesive will ultimately begin migrating if there is any room. Additionally, heat or a heated temperature melts and makes adhesive. I've experienced this with practically every roll of black electrical tape I've purchased, so I was prepared for it. I only want to avoid getting electrocuted, and thus far, it seems to be working just fine. There are many rolls included, which will last for a very long period. The cost is fairly comparable to what I would pay at a bargain retailer.

It is an excellent value for the price. If you look closely, you can see that many other similar packs on this site aren't full size rolls; these are.There is no UL listing logo on the packaging I received, the wrapper, or the blank cardboard rolls themselves.Without that, I won't think they're UL listed. I don't think it will keep up or even be entirely resistant, therefore I won't put on naked a.c. cables. but will be effective for labeling, enhancing already-existing insulation, etc., as well as all the other uses this tape is capable of.It stretches and breaks about like medium grade tape in terms of quality. It isn't scotch ultra 33 , but it's also not the cheapest.Overall, a decent value for the money and the colors you receive, but why do you say that it is UL listed in the description if it is not printed on the inside of the roll itself like it is with other rolls of e tape?

I guess I never really gave the idea that not all electrical tapes are created equal much thought, but now that I think about it, I have definitely used others that weren't nearly as excellent. These had the perfect amount of stickiness and flexibility without being overly thick or thin. I'm not sure if that is electrical tape. You should visit my house. What do you want me to say? There are a lot of them, so I'm crazy like that and I've been loving having an abundance. Apply what she has, you know... electronic tape It's a good time and extremely helpful stuff.
