Instead of the extremely short portions, I was looking for a little length, thus I bought these. They are excellent and do not wear out quickly like some less expensive parts. These appear to get lost by me before I can use them up. Having said that, if the tip starts to round out after you have used them for a long, you can sand it flat to give them a little more life.

If a bit extender is too long for the job but you require a magnetized bit. Then you should get this tiny fellow. I suppose I can say that it can be a bit too magnetic for some chores, like screwing something with metal close by, since it will pull the screw to anything with metal that is less than a quarter inch away. As long as the screwdriver fits inside the magnet, I discovered that it can also be used to make screwdrivers magnetic. When I initially put it on the bit, it was funny because it really sucked itself out of my fingers and onto the bit when I had it 1/4 inch in front of the bit. The cost is definitely justified.

WOW! For less than $10, how many stop-collars? That much was spent on a single collar that I required the same day. The title of the item, "drill stop bit collar," is misspelled; it really should read, "stop-collars for drill bits."These stop-collars are perhaps most frequently used on drill bits for electric drills. The depth of the hole may be precisely controlled when using a drill press. However, it's simple to make holes that are either too deep or not deep enough while using a hand-held drill. In one of these gadgets, insert your bit, extend it to the precise depth of the hole you desire, and tighten the set screw. If I need to position the collar where there are flutes while drilling a shallow hole, I simply twist the bit until the set-screw fits into the gullet between the flutes. They arrived on schedule. They were in decent shape. I required the extra length because I work on RC helicopters, and it makes it much easier to fit into small spaces. These were actually gifts I got for my son-in-law. He enjoys making his own wooden objects, as does my daughter. It took me some time to figure it out when I tried it out. Hex/Allen socket head machine screws are something I use a lot. I also have a wide variety of bit sets, including hex and allen bits. Unfortunately, every single one of those parts is a short, stubby screwdriver kind. I exclusively use fast release bits with my DeWalt cordless impact driver and gyroscopic screwdrivers. So, in order to use the short bits in my various sets, I was utilizing adapters on a lot of my devices. That means that if I need to tighten hex/Allen screws, I must always locate two items: the bit and the adapter. I started looking for a quick release set of hex/Allen bits for both metric and SAE sizes because this grew to be a pain. This set offered the best features out of all the sets I looked at.Advantages:1. SAE and metric sets are both available. I bought both sets and suggest them.2. Compared to the "unknown metal" my other bits were made of, they are constructed using S2 steel, which is a significant improvement.3.
