The mat carries out its intended function. Because it isn't particularly hefty for its size, it doesn't slide around very much but also doesn't stay in position very well. Although the colour disappoints me a little, it is just as shown. I mistook the word "charcoal" for charcoal grey when I thought it was actually jet black with some very long white fibres woven in. It sounds harsher than I mean to, but it resembles a black rug that has a cat's fur rolled all over it. For the price, the rug is adequate, however I wouldn't suggest the charcoal hue.

This serves as a mat for our lab dog, who is 14 years old. Our tile floors are too slick for her, so she has a hard time standing up on them. She can keep her footing as she climbs out of bed thanks to this mat. It seems to be quite sturdy and strong.Cleaning is difficult for our purposes. It is challenging to vacuum out the strands where her blond fur becomes tangled. This is not a problem for us because we always raise the mat when guests are around. This has helped her by providing a non-slip surface.

The flooring at my home office is hardwood. Like many of us, I sit at my desk in an office-style chair with casters. I purchased one of those transparent floor protectors, but I soon discovered that it wouldn't remain in place for longer than two microseconds. I tried using a throw rug and had identical results, but my chair was also paralyzed. The idea light went on when I spotted a mat at a bank that looked remarkably similar to this one. What I needed was on Amazon. The chair rolls on this low-nap Brush Step mat WHEN I WANT IT TO, and the mat has a vinyl undercoat so it STAYS IN ONE PLACE. There were a variety of colors offered, so you can pick one that matches your decor. Oh. To put at my front door, I purchased a smaller one. It also functions nicely there. I should warn you that if the rug is stored on its end for an extended period of time, as my rug was, the exposed vinyl edges will sag and even split. Unfortunately, I didn't like the edges and used a pair of scissors to remove them. It's simple to do, but take care not to shave any of the carpet's nap. Due to incorrect storage, I was unable to award the item with 5 stars (which split the edges). Anyone who sells the goods should be aware of this.

These mats truly live up to their promises. At our modest 5-acre farm ranch, where we have two 10 month old, strong, and overly active golden retrievers (must be all that running and play space ha-ha! ), these door mats are very high quality and withstand the wear and tear of in and out foot traffic that brings in mud, dirt, water, damp, dust, weeds, work boots, grime, and grease. They dry easily, and dirt can easily be swept off, We will keep buying Gorilla Grip rubber door mats and just use them to furnish our house.

I've used a lot of these over the years; the 3x5 grey ones are a little bit denser, and this black model is a little bit softer and less dense.I've been using the grey 3x5 model in my office for years to prevent my office chair from moving around. It moves, but remains stationary unless I tell it to. In my shop, next to my workbench, I also use a 3x5.This 3x5 black product is excellent and I use it in my kitchen. One of the black models had a size irregularity, measuring 3' x 4' 9 and 34; this was the only problem I encountered with it. My best friend also ordered one at the same time, and his was exactly 3x5, so it was an accident.I often utilize the brand-new, spotless 3x5 anti-fatigue mats in my shop whenever the older ones start to show signs of wear after about a year of use in my kitchen and home office. I can use my Dyson V10 on the turbo setting to vacuum the black one, which is a little bit easier to do than the grey anti-fatigue mat, which requires that I turn off the turbo feature. Although the vacuum is less likely to stick to either the black or grey version if you vacuum horizontal to the raised 'ribs' of the anti fatigue mat.In either case, this is a quality item.

Five of these were given to me. When the dog plays fetch in the incessant winter rain, I set them on the dirt pathway in the yard, where everything turns to mud. There is a hill involved that frequently gets very slick. That issue is been resolved! The dog, a 60-pound border collie mix, and a passing 23-pound Sheltie don't seem to mind the unusually textured ground at all. Because the bottom has more rubber "fingers," which seem to perform an AMAZING job preventing sliding, I actually placed the mats upside down. Now, a person on crutches can frequently use this path without incident. (I believe there is a 20–30 degree slope.) Another benefit is that even with extremely fast canine traffic, the mats never shift because of the fact that they are completely perforated with holes. They also help that they are fairly weighty. Additionally, they do not offer a dry area for the field mice to nest because the earth beneath them is just as moist as the rest of the yard (which happens if the rubber mat is solid). It's an expensive solution, but it's effective. Note: The repulsive rubber smell was strong all summer, especially when the sun struck them, but the dogs were unaffected, and it appears that it has since disappeared. After several months of use, there is also no discernible wear, and there is significantly less muck dragged onto the deck! Yay! I would repurchase these. ——- After five months, I went back to purchase a few more, but the cost had increased by around $20 per item. For me, they were manageable at $32, but not at $52. Sadly, the ones I already have are still very functional.August 2018 Update I still have all of my dog yard mats in excellent condition. There is no decline. There is no fading. (In the Puget Sound region, there is fewer than 4 hours of direct sunlight each day; this is not extremely extreme.) No mice are hiding beneath them! Even when dogs are rushing over them on the hill, they don't move. Still quite happy.

These perform admirably on my workshop's concrete floor. My only worry is that it took a few weeks for the rubber smell to dissipate after I left them outside in my open garage. Had the same issue after purchasing some comparable ones from Home Depot. These operate quite well on the concrete floor in my workplace, so I guess it's simply the way they are. My only worry is that the rubber smell took a few weeks to completely go because I had to leave them outside in my open garage. The same issue exists with several comparable ones I purchased from Home Depot. I suppose it's just how they are created.
