I recently bought the POC VPD Air knee and elbow pads, and I detested them to the hilt! They simply made me feel uncomfortable and out of place, so I sent them back. A week later, I was watching Seth's most recent video when he casually stated that he had purchased a pair of shoes and that they were both comfortable and appealing. I chose to give them a shot because Seth generally gets things right. OMGosh, I adore these! These are for you if you don't need DH-level gear! Due to how comfy they are, I quickly forget they are even on. They cost more than the POC equipment I returned, actually. Additionally, I am a large according to both the POC and Kali sizing charts, so I had to get an XL for both brands. Other than that, I say go ahead and buy these; you won't regret it.

looks just like it does in the photos. The velcro straps' positioning, which can be fairly awkward, is the only thing I would criticize.

Despite being a little man, my measurements indicate that I should wear a size large. I'm glad I ordered the right size rather than what I thought would be my size. The fitment is excellent; at first the right side kneepad was tighter than the other (probably due to my legs), but after a few rides it feels great now. I haven't taken a spill yet, but so far the pads are holding up with no failure with the stitching. I guess I have thicker legs for my size lol I'm only 5'5".The kneepad's interior has a rubbery liner on the back, which aids in keeping the kneepads firmly in place on your legs.I appreciate a few aspects of the Launch Pro, including:1. It offers side protection, which will better protect your knees if you fall sideways and take a mishap. The pad covers the bottom portion of the knee and half of the shin; it feels wonderful to know that there is additional protection. 2. Overall protection is better than some of the other typical kneepads available.3. Some of the other pads were stretch fit and had adjustable straps for the top and bottom to better fit your legs. Here are a few things I didn't enjoy:It's becoming warm here in California, and after a brief ride, my legs started to perspire. I mean, everyone sweats, but there is absolutely no ventilation whatsoever with these pads.2. I thought that these pads needed some break-in time since during the first few rides after receiving them, the pads would shift down or rotate to the side. This could have been my fault, but now that I've had a few rides under my belt, I no longer experience this problem.3. Because the cushions provide additional protection, they take up more room if you put them in your bag or car, although this may just be a matter of preference.4. Despite the fact that these are new 2019 models and my Fox mtb gloves came with the newer micro velcro type, the adjustable strap uses the older style of velcro, which I dislike because it sticks to everything, including your clothes, gloves, and kneepads. You just need to be careful to lock the strap so they don't swing loose and catch the fabric on the pad, as doing so may cause the material to fray over time.Forgot to note that as part of the packaging, Fox also provides you with a mudguard for your bike.Overall, it's still a great pair of kneepads; it feels wonderful to have additional protection, and I would choose this feature over some of the drawbacks any day. I love these and never ride without them.

I don't have any other knee pads to compare these to because they are my first pair. They are soft, airy, and comfy against my knees. They feel comfortable when pedaling, have no constraints, and don't fall off. I fell earlier today, and these worked as intended. kept my knees well-protected. Go one size larger than your measurements, according to some. I have a 15.5" calf and an 18" thigh. I ultimately chose the XL size. They are well-fitting and secure enough to prevent slipping. I might have gotten away with a large. However, I believe it would have been a little awkward to pedal because of how snug it would have been around my thighs. I like these knee braces overall. And would advise anyone looking for a comfortable and useful knee pad to get these.

I was hesitant to buy knee pads given the negative reviews about knee pads in general. I'm content with my purchase nonetheless. I'll share some thoughts and recommendations. I don't have legs the size of tree trunks because I'm just 5'10" and 177 pounds. Mediums fit perfectly. I haven't crashed so I can't speak to post-crash durability, but the substantial amount of padding and thickness gives me hope against knee injuries. On rides of 7 to 20 miles, I typically wear them, and I don't suffer any binding at the backs of my knees. I also occasionally wear them about my ankles while riding for a long time on the "flats," stopping to draw them up as I approach the descents. given that in my riding locales, these trail segments are relatively dispersed. The sun tan lines are also fixed by using this technique, which also helps the knees to breathe. Additionally, I have worn them in 90 degree non-humid temperatures and have not had any discomfort. Overall, a nice purchase if knee protection is what you're after. If I could offer the manufacturer one cost-cutting advice, it would be this: Despite what it might seem, this product is shipped in a remarkably attractive box that would be appropriate for a Tiffany storefront display on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Reduce the box's glitz and give the consumer the savings.

These knee protectors have rather simple padding. It doesn't provide side coverage and doesn't get harder on contact. It merely offers a little protection where it is needed. There is very little weight and no pedaling resistance. When you're shredding trails, these kneepads are so good you could forget you're wearing them. Due to the squeezed fit and two silicone bands on either end, they don't slide down. Moreover, due to their modest weight. Nowhere will you find superior knee protectors for less money. And I believe these have your name on them if you don't want to pay $80 on some poc pads. Wishing you luck, joy, and safe travels.

That is really cool. These were purchased to replace several g-forms that weren't durable enough for everyday use. The Fox pads have excellent stitching and construction. The material seems to be strong and breathable.Last week, I utilized these for the first time while I pedaled 30 miles in the Pisgah Enduro. I didn't slide down on my calves the entire time; I rode with them on my knees. Although it was in the middle of the 80s, heat was never an issue. I didn't begin to feel a tiny rub on my inner thigh until the trip had ended, but I would anticipate that with anything.Although I didn't crash, the pads stayed in place without any problems. No rotation or slippage occurred. They did not move!My knees survived my first hard crash, or rather a few of them, at Beech Mountain in North Carolina without suffering any damage. The sleeves were cleaned, and the inserts are simply removed. Nothing was torn or otherwise harmed.

I adore MTB gear from Demon. They make knee pads, and I have a pair that is virtually ideal. I chose these since I needed to protect my shins as well because I've been tearing them up lately. They're great, although they do have a few little issues...PROS: The back is open and nicely padded, and it's fairly comfy. The three straps are sturdy.CONS: The shin strap at the bottom is too loose. In other words, the strap is too lengthy and doesn't exactly keep your legs strapped in. I have to agree despite the numerous size cautions. I ordered a medium, and it fits me just barely. When your legs are filthy and sweaty, it's difficult to slide them on and off. I wonder if huge would have been more effective. However, the bottom strap would be worthless if I went large because it doesn't fit properly even on medium.I like them overall and will continue to keep them.

Although I primarily ride cross-country, I really want something that is comfortable for long periods of riding. I also want to protect my knees. Designing knee pads that accomplish that, stay in position, cover effectively, and protect properly is difficult. I've tried a number of brands and designs of knee pads, and this one is now my favorite.Due to pinching and chaffing problems, I had to send back the most of the versions I tried, but these ixs trigger pads perform admirably in that regard. Any rubbing difficulties were quickly resolved with strap modifications.Digging into the shins at the bottom edge is another frequent issue I've experienced, but not with these. When compared to other versions, these seem quite small given the level of protection. More than any other pad I've tried, they provide coverage above the knee and over the shin. They also maintain their position better. In contrast to many other pads that have enormous bright loud gaudy logos, I am very pleased that the logo is understated and tiny.
