The ideal depth and size for potato salad at the beach. The beach hosted my grandson's farewell party, which included roughly 50 adults and children in all. We had a ton of food, which I prepared in excess of, and it was all consumed. To keep the ice colder/longer, I used an insulated picnic basket, covered the pan with foil, and placed it inside. When it was time to serve, it was still cold after being zipped and heading to the beach. Love it and will purchase additional pans, although shipping can be somewhat pricey, especially when shopping from Hawaii. Although the merchant shipped here, some vendors won't. If I need more, I'll keep your name in mind. Thanks.

Since I'm not using the pan on a steam table as intended, I'm not sure if any reviews I write for it are relevant. It serves as my cat's litter box. I adopted a cat from the SPCA, and while they care for hundreds of animals every week, I noticed that all of their litter boxes are stainless steel with no plastic whatsoever. I searched all over Amazon for a stainless steel litter box, but all I could find was plastic litter boxes that ranged in price from $5 to $400. Who would be stupid or lazy enough to spend $400 on a "automated" litter box? That's the subject of another review.I purchased a plastic litter box for short-term usage, and without fail, the more recent clumping litter adheres to the plastic pan's bottom, which is a common complaint regarding plastic litter boxes. My cat has already used this stainless pan three times since it came, and I already know that it is much simpler to remove clumping litter from this pan than from my plastic one. The size is ideal for a tiny cat that lives alone " (21" x 13" x 6" tall). The 6 "Height is good since it stops most (but not all) litter from being dropped on the ground. I fixed the issue by placing a cat litter carpet underneath, which actually works great. No of the material or pan height, if you have a male cat, you can get "firehose" issues. However, for a smaller, lone female cat, this pan works brilliantly.For me, stainless steel is much more hygienic than plastic, and it only cost $25, not $400. I can use any chemical, the hottest water available, steam, or even a pressure washer without harming stainless steel. Yes, I have to shovel poop and pee, but using clumping litter makes it much simpler than fiddling with some clumsy technological stuff that functions as an Easy Bake oven for cat poop.I'll buy another of these pans if we have another cat. If you scrub them out, you could put them in a dishwasher (alone!) to disinfect them because they can't break, melt, or retain any odor. Overall, $25 was a good investment, and my cat concurs.
