The liberty slides are quite functional. For people who desire greater quality than what you can get in a store and people who want their furniture to be more personalized, I create cabinets, dressers, tables, and other furniture. I therefore go through numerous ball bearing drawer slides. I first experimented with many different brands of ball bearing drawer slides, but I ultimately chose to stick with them for a variety of reasons. For the price, these slides are well-made and work well. They constantly maintain a high standard of quality. In contrast to some other brands I've used, I don't have to worry when I buy them about missing screws or bent rails. These slides are my go-to since they are readily available in all sizes, including the soft close varieties, at the two Home Depot locations in my city, which is often where I get them. I only purchased these from Amazon this time because I needed them to complete the garage cabinets I had built for a client. There were no 16-inch drawer slides left at the Home Depots in my neighborhood because everyone had already bought them. These are my own preferred slides to use, but I still strongly advise against using anything else. There are numerous more brands available. According to some of the reviews, some individuals do not enjoy these slides. However, I have used literally hundreds of these slides over the years without experiencing any issues outside my own installation errors.Ignore the installation instructions that come with these slides for the best results. Installing these slides is made more difficult by the installation instructions that come with them. The quickest and best approach to install these is to use a center line. What I typically do is. I'll mark a line across the drawer with a straight edge using a measurement of 1 1/2 inches from the bottom of the drawer. As long as you remember that number since you will need it, it doesn't matter how high you measure your drawer. I then fix the rails in place by aligning the mounting holes' centers with that line. I'll take measurements on the actual work item, including the distance I want between the cabinet's lip and the top of the drawer in addition to how deep my drawers are. Then make a mark after deducting the number you entered while attaching the rail to the drawer. as an example. Keep in mind that I measured 1 1/2 inches from the drawer's bottom up. Let's assume I want the top of my drawer to be 1/4 inch from the cabinet lip and that it has a 6 inch depth. Therefore, I will measure down 6 1/4 inches from the lip and then deduct 1 1/2 inches from 6 1/4 to get 4 3/4. I therefore put a mark at 4 3/4. I draw a line from the mark using a square or straight edge, align the mounting holes of the rail with that mark, and secure it in place. With this technique, installing drawer slides is consistently quick and precise.This approach also performs well when measuring from the cabinet's base up. Actually, measuring from the bottom of the cabinet is more simpler. Establish the desired distance between the drawer's bottom and the cabinet's bottom. The measurement you took for the drawer itself must be multiplied by the desired distance from the bottom of the cabinet to the bottom of the drawer. Make a mark at that distance from the cabinet's base after measuring it. As before, I positioned the middle of my rail 1 1/2 inches from the drawer's bottom. Let's assume that I need 1/8 inches of space between the bottom of my drawer and the bottom of the cabinet. I'll increase by 1/8 to 1 1/2. I receive 1.5/8. So I take a 1 5/8-inch measurement upward from the cabinet's base. Draw a line using a square and straight edge. Once more align the line with the center of the mounting holes, then fasten it in place. It always works.If you plan to use these slides to build numerous drawers. Decide on a typical distance to install the rail to the drawers at. As a result, it doesn't matter if the drawer is 3 or 9 inches deep. Use the same distance from the drawer's bottom. When mounting the drawer slide rail to the cabinet, this merely provides you with a measurement that will never change. Much simpler than always attempting to adjust the drawer for a different measure.

Cost: Other drawer sliders are substantially more expensive ($50–$75 is too much).Quality: When compared to the slides that came with my cabinet, they were less smooth and slightly stiffer (they will become slightly less stiff with time). The change is discernible but unimportant. These slides are only in Grade B, but I like them.These slides were simple to utilize. The release levers were great. The instructions helped a little bit.Suggestions:1. Tools: The instructions advise using a level, phillips screwdriver, tape measure, and pencil. Everyone contributed. Additional tools to keep in mind include a small drill or electric screwdriver (for inside the cabinet work and to remove old slides), a flashlight or smartphone light to see inside the cabinet, tape in case you need to hold on to the string in the back of the drawer, and perhaps a rag or pair of gloves if the old slides are particularly greasy.2. Tip: To test the fit, install the drawer after tightening only two screws in each side of the drawer slides. When the drawer fits well, remove it using the convenient release levers and install the remaining screws for the drawer slides (4 per side). The drawer slides can be adjusted considerably more easily than the cabinet slides.3. Screws - Save the original screws that came with the drawer and cabinet. They might outlast the screws that come with these slides. Those longer screws might be the ideal length or fit for the cabinet's interior. Think about reusing them.4. Directions - The Installation Guide gave a good description of the supplies, and the pictures looked alright. Practice using the release levers. They're excellent. The written instructions should have been better. To determine the most effective sequence of steps and the most accurate way to take measurements, think about watching an internet video or giving yourself more time. It's crucial to level and measure accurately. Make any necessary adjustments to the drawer after getting the cabinet's interior in order. Working on the drawer is a lot simpler.

These 22-inch slides were purchased for ten sizable garage drawers. They arrived in a 36-pound, well-used USPS flat rate package. They came intact and were contained inside another cardboard box with shipping straps. They stretch 21.5 inches and are 21.5 inches long. They have several large, tiny, and slotted mounting holes and are constructed from 0.05" thick (18 gauge) zinc-plated steel. They have a soft bumper and a mechanism to hold the drawer shut, but they are neither self-closing nor soft closing.These slides need to be spaced 1 1/16" wider than the drawer, or 17/32" on each side, because they are 0.50" wide when laying flat but 0.53" wide when upright due to the ball bearings' tendency to center themselves in their grooves. When the slides are set too widely apart, mounting tabs on the component that fastens to the cabinet allow the slides to pull away from the cabinet. The ball bearings will only ride on one side of the track if they are installed too closely together, making it more difficult for them to open and close.The slides are greased with a thick, transparent grease that is difficult to remove but becomes easier with usage. They might slide more freely if you clean them and use a lighter grease to lubricate them.It was a wonderful improvement over no screws that my slides came with 80 5/8" flat head mounting screws. The slides can accommodate screws with heads up to 1/8" height, thus #8 pan head sheet metal screws, which are widely available at home improvement centers and allow for some adjustment if you use the slots or larger holes, work perfectly. Additionally, they come in a range of lengths, allowing you to choose the length that is suitable for the thickness of your drawer and mounting cabinet.My only issue with the box is the absence of this kind of technical information, which could be fixed with a simple half-sheet of printed paper.Overall, these slides are excellent value for the money and would receive a solid 5 stars if they came with a sheet of paper listing the dimensions, other screw options, and descriptions of the various mounting holes.

They look promising. So far, I've just installed one. They came really fast, with adequate packaging and no obvious signs of damage.Although the auto-close mechanism isn't as robust as a Liberty brand glide I purchased, it works brilliantly. To slightly ease the sliding action, I did apply some oil to the bearings (10W-40, I guess). The combination of full extension, smooth sliding action (with the aforementioned additional lubrication), and soft self-closing is truly great. I replaced a 30 year old 2/3 extension glide. All of the drawer's contents are now accessible and remain in their original positions.Those without installation instructions have voiced their displeasure, therefore, FWIW...Notes for Installation:The glide can be disassembled by sliding it open and pressing the little plastic lever that is revealed in the glide's innermost, narrowest (drawer) track. The component that attaches to your drawer is this drawer track.I have cabinets with face frames. The mounting screws from my previous glides were reused. I put the stationary/outer (touching the bottom of the drawer opening) half of the drawer glide in place. Having a 24 "I indicated the spot for the rear screw after getting the glide level so that I could still see the bubble. For each side of the mounting, I used three screws. I learned that I didn't need to drill into the plywood side supports before driving the tiny screws in, which will save me time on later installs.For the purpose of drilling screw holes in the drawer sides, I created a cardboard template (from a delivery box flap). To slightly (by 1/16) raise the drawer, I used a cardboard spacer ") off the counter, extended the drawer track to touch the drawer front, and outlined approximately half of its attachment holes on the cardboard while holding a complete glide on the counter and my template against the side of my drawer. I then finished tracing the holes in the removable drawer track after detaching it, positioning it on top of the template. After marking the spots for my drilling, I drilled the template and tagged it: front, back, left, and right. Following that, drilling the drawers and installing the drawer tracks went quickly and easily.To finish the assembly, align the inner drawer tracks with the ones that are mounted to the cabinet, slide them in, and fully close the drawer to activate the self-closing latch mechanisms. That mechanism ought to "cock" in an open position on both sides when the drawer opens. The drawer should begin to slowly close after being nearly closed by being pushed.Make sure to flush mount the glide's stationary/outer half to the front of your cabinet. Be parallel and symmetrical.Drive no screws inside the self-closing mechanism area, as others have suggested, otherwise the mechanism may bind.Do not mount the drawer track's front such that it touches or is flush with the drawer front.If the self-close doesn't work properly, check that both mechanisms are properly "cocked" each time the drawer is opened by pulling each one forward on BOTH sides before you close the drawer.

On a 44" x 23" full-extension drawer I created in a tool locker I made to accommodate my power tools, I ultimately mounted two of these pairs. Specifically, my 40-pound, difficult-to-lift miter saw. I wanted to be able to lift the saw straight up and onto its stand without needing to pull out a drawer. I initially purchased one pair because they are 100 lb. rated, but after considering how my weight would be distributed and realizing that I had a 1/2 size left, I decided to purchase a second pair "There was enough room underneath anyhow, so I placed a pair on each side and two pairs evenly spaced across the cabinet floor. The instructions state that the 100 lb. rating is only valid for a 24 "I had a drawer that was twice as wide as that. After carefully aligning four drawer slides for two hours, everything turned out fantastic! Otherwise unhelpful instructions, but fortunately installation is not particularly difficult.

Our new house has been here for two years, and several of the drawers are showing sliding failure. The problem is the plastic rollers, which crack when stressed by the weight of the goods in the drawers. (I don't understand why they make large drawers with light slides for pots and pans.)My Cabinets 2000 drawers worked perfectly with these replacement slides. Tips for installation The original slide's length should be measured. In this case, you should order the 20" slide. Next, mark the locations of the screw holes on the old slide with a magic marker. Mark the locations of the same screw holes on the new slide after removing the old one. The new slide is then quickly screwed into position, and you're done. I advised marking first because it's much simpler to know where the screws go before attempting to screw them in if you're working in a small space.A fantastic alternative that is also reasonably priced.

After a protracted search, I decided to try to repair two broken bathroom vanity drawers that were a major cause of my annoyance. The ones that came with the vanity originally broke. I tried to replace the entire vanity but found that it was out of my price range. These operate flawlessly despite not seeming to be an exact shape/size match. To install these new brackets in the existing holes, I had to save the old screw fittings from the original brackets. To completely secure them, I created new mounting holes and used four additional standard screws. The drawers are now functional. In case things degrade with time, I got additional. Right now, I'm so happy that the bathroom's vanity drawers are once again functional. This is something that I heartily endorse!
