Rubbermaid Commercial Products Medium Lid for 6 and 8 Qt. Plastic Round Food Storage Container (FG572500YEL) Review:

I acquired the book The New Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day: The Discovery That Revolutionizes Home Baking after attempting an online recipe and developed a dependence on eating freshly baked bread. After deciding I was going to keep making bread, I bought this cheap food bucket lid to store the dough with the bucket, Rubbermaid Commercial Products FG572324CLR 6-Quart Round Storage Container. At first, I got by using bowls and containers I already had. Although they operate well together, they are currently sold separately because the bucket doesn't come with the lid and vice versa. Both the bucket and the lid are solid. The bucket's cover fits snugly on it, and everything fits on one of my refrigerator's higher shelves. I purchased the 6-qt bucket as I was concerned that the 8-qt one wouldn't fit in my refrigerator. I used plastic wrap to cover the bucket because when I got them, the bucket did not come with the lid. Although the lid works considerably better and is only a few dollars more expensive, it will do in a pinch. This cover, according to another reviewer, does not fit the 6-qt bucket. It was perfect for my 6-qt bucket. Despite being relatively tight, the seal can be partially broken while the dough is actively releasing gases.Although I'm sure this bucket is used for purposes other than bread dough, it is frequently used in my home as a container for mixing and storing dough.

Rubbermaid Commercial Products Plastic Round Food Storage Container for Kitchen/Food Prep/Storing, 22 Quart, Clear, Container Only (FG572824CLR) Review:

For storing regular food in the refrigerator or freezer, Rubbermaid storage containers work nicely. Depending on the size(s) you choose, you can preserve things like a huge batch of cookies, chicken stock, or leftover turkey.Products can be kept cold or hot in these containers. Although it is not described as such, the cover, which is offered separately (see below), fits perfectly but is not airtight. These *could* be stacked, but since the lids lack grooves that would allow you to coordinate them with other containers, I assume they weren't designed to be stacked. If, while bringing it out, a large batch of soup that is on top of another container slides by accident, that will be a huge mess to clean up. If you choose to stack, exercise common sense. These can nest within one another while you're not using them, taking up less room. For your convenience, the following list of other sizes and accompanying lids is provided:• 2-quart round storage container; • 4-quart round storage container; • Lid for 2-4 Quart Storage Container (only available in yellow)8-Quart Round Storage Container, 6-Quart Round Storage Container, and Lid for 6-8 Quart Storage Container (only available in yellow).Lid fits 12-Quart Round Storage Container, 12-Quart Round Storage Container, 18-Quart Round Storage Container, and 22-Quart Round Storage Container (only produced in yellow). To keep larger food items, one should always have a few large containers on hand. The price of a container and lid, notwithstanding the somewhat higher cost of the lids, is comparable to other storage units. Please be careful to measure your refrigerator/freezer to ensure that these will fit. Recommended.

Rubbermaid Commercial Products Plastic Round Food Storage Container for Kitchen/Food Prep/Storing, 6 Quart, Clear, Container Only (FG572324CLR) Review:

I was looking for some containers to utilize in my pantry, but the usual Rubbermaid range didn't quite have what I was looking for. The enormous square ones, which have been excellent for holding flour and sugar, are apparently no longer produced. I therefore desired to stick with the same brand. Because I assumed there would be few options for size (I assumed they would all be enormous), and because I assumed they would be rather pricey, I haven't looked at or bought any of the commercial products in this brand before. However, I decided to get a few when I noticed the (ridiculously cheap) price for these—they were about 50% off an already very fair price. I ordered two of these and one 6-quart, and I think they are ideal for what I need. I'll also be ordering a few smaller ones. The only thing I didn't like was that the lids had to be ordered separately; at first, I didn't understand why they weren't in the picture, but one of the reviews I read clarified it. Considering that they were also on sale, I was thrilled to get such large, excellently made containers (not clear, but you can still see through them easily) for such cheap prices. They are easy to hold because to the handles, and the lid fits snugly. Enjoy your buy!

Rubbermaid Commercial Products Plastic Round Food Storage Container for Kitchen/Food Prep/Storing, 18 Quart, Clear, Container Only (FG572724CLR) Review:

I looked all over for a vessel that could hold a 10 pound bag of flour. I always purchase both bread flour and all-purpose flour in 10 lb increments because I frequently make bread. I spent hours searching for the size I needed before realizing that no matter what brand, domestic containers just didn't come in that size. When I finally found these containers, I wasn't sure how big I needed to go. To share the knowledge I've acquired, I've taken images of the sizes (I bought 8qt, 6qt, 4qt, and 2qt sizes to compare and use for various applications). The 8qt is larger than anticipated, being as wide and tall as a roll of paper towels, but it is still the ideal size for a 10lb pound of flour with headroom (allowing you to refill before you go to the bottom). It fit with a lot of tapping down to the very top (the lid will close), but there was absolutely no headroom when I tested the 6qt with the 10lb pound of flour (the photo shows both a 10lb and 5lb bag of flour for size reference). This is advantageous if you require a shorter container or if you want to use the entire container before adding additional (same width as 6qt). I decided to store my bread and all-purpose flour in the 8 qt and my wheat flour (which I only purchase in 5 lb increments) in the 6 qt.The two 2 pound bags of brown sugar and powdered sugar easily and comfortably fit within the 2 qt containers with room to spare. Granulated sugar would not fit into the 2 quart container, even though I did not test it with a whole 4 pound bag. I bought the 4 qt to use for sugar. The grey container I was using before, which exactly contained a 4lb bag and was approximately halfway full, is seen next to the 4qt container in the photo. I had no trouble fitting a bag and a half into the 4qt.The 8qt and 6qt are the same width, but the photo with all 4 containers across shows the height difference. Despite having varying widths, the 6qt and 4qt are roughly the same height. The 2qt and 4qt have the same width. The 8qt containers can be seen side by side in the last image; as you can see, they leave quite a space when kept next to one another.I appreciate how well-made the containers are. They are sturdy and have excellent handles on top that make it simple to remove them from the shelf. I believe that the handles are well supported and won't deteriorate with use. The lids fit snugly; to seal them, you must press them all the way around, and to open them, you must run your hands or fingers all the way around (not as easy as a Tupperware or other brands that just press in the middle to seal).Hope this is useful to someone!
