A carabiner can be used as a pulley if the right type is chosen. A pulley is a mechanical device that changes the direction of a force applied to it. It is used to redirect the force to another object. A carabiner is a metal loop with a spring-loaded gate that is used to connect two pieces of equipment together. It is also used as a connector for a rope to an anchor point. The carabiner must be the right size and have a smooth, rounded surface in order to work as a pulley.
A movable pulley is a pulley that is free to move along a fixed point. This type of pulley is used to change the direction of a force.
There are a few ways that you can remove weight from your hangboard. One way is to use a weight belt or other device that will allow you to take some of the weight off of your body. Another way is to use a pulley system to take some of the weight off of your body. You can also use a weight vest or other device that will help to distribute the weight more evenly across your body.
To take weight off while hangboarding, use a lighter grip or use a fingerless grip. You can also try using a smaller board or a board with smaller holds.

To prevent the end of a hammock from twisting, I use this. Given how sturdy it is and how much weight it can support, it is probably more than I would ever need. I intended to take a photo with the hammock attached, but I forgot to do so. It is reasonably lightweight and spins easily. A quality product all around.

It's a piece of art. You would gladly employ it to quickly descend the Andes. Years ago, I used Plexiglas and garage door pulleys to create my own trolley. Worked decently, but after some time, the bearings started to corrode. This appears to be almost foolproof and is quite sturdy and wonderfully made. Avoid the less expensive ones. Cheap pulleys soon develop distortion. Not in this case. To go along with this, think about utilising 3/8 stainless steel cable because even galvanised wire rusts after around ten years. (I made it for the kids; the grandchildren now use it.) A come-along can be used to tighten cable.

I've just used it a little so far, but it was great. Even though everything was fresh new, the rope had some inside threads that were "fraying" out of the outside layer. This is why I awarded it four ratings. With other ropes I've bought, I've never experienced that problem. I bought the machine to use around the property and for arbor work. I had to get some carabeans and prusik cord. The pulley system should last for many years. I'd suggest it to others.

bought to serve as my dogs' runner.superior than the inexpensive pulleys from Menards in terms of performance.operates quietly and smoothly. have a cable between the house and the garage that is attached to two dogs. The old runners would break and get ground down on the cable because both dogs weigh about 100 pounds each, but this one has worked incredibly well with no wear evident, only a little wear on the connection with the clevis.

I bought this trolley to use on my 200-foot zipline and 65-foot zipline, which I built on my property for my grandchildren and guests to enjoy. It serves the intended purpose quite well. I particularly appreciate that the trolley has a professional-grade carabiner, which is necessary for quickly attaching accessories like swing seats and safety belts. The different cable diameters that the trolley is suited for should be explicitly stated in the item description. Although the trolley itself includes metric cable diameters, this information is not included in the item description. It would be beneficial for those of us who are still using the English system to mention the cable diameter in inches. I think the trolley is really nicely crafted and will survive for many years.

used a 5:1 pulley system a couple times to lift branches and logs up a rocky ravine's slope. They are quite robust and precisely fit the 7/16ths rope I use. The becket comes in helpful for fastening the rope's end to create a closed system. I made one major error in thinking that these would be prusik minding. Unfortunately, the loop and the entire prusik knot get drawn into and around the pulley when I use a 6.5 mm Sterling hollow block prusik (an excellent item) as a progress catch. I had to come up with a quick and dirty solution, which involved threading a short piece of electrical wire through the side plate's holes and bent it to form a stopper right above the rope. The sheaves move easily, but they don't rotate freely; when you give them a good spin, they might rotate just a few times. Even so, I don't think they significantly increase system friction.I used Teflon bicycle chain grease to lubricate them as best as I could (not easy or even possible as far as I know; perhaps bearings are sealed?). While the open design may reduce weight, it presents certain challenges when operating in areas where they could come into touch with wet or sticky ground and gather up dirt and debris. They are quite simple to clean, but there is still a chance that small grit and grime will get inside of them. For all except industrial size lifts or pulls, it is more than sturdy enough.

I bought this for a cable system for my home gym, not for climbing. Since the Home Store type pulleys I've been using for years would seize up, grind one side, cinch the cable as the weight was increased, never stay centered, and other similar problems, I figured I'd try something more expensive for my use—even though this might be less expensive in the climbing community. The difference between it and the lesser pulleys was like night and day; it is so smooth, there is no grinding or seizing, the wheel stays centered, and the design makes it simple to interchange out cables. If you're purchasing it for the same purpose, please do so and skip the less expensive pulleys from the hardware store; while they may be suitable for occasional, easy uses, they are not suitable for repeated, heavy repetitions.

I assumed this would be significantly less effective than other well-known goods of this kind that I could get on Amazon because of the pricing. Although it was not printed or stamped as such, it was apparently engineered and designed in the USA (albeit it was probably still built in China). Also states that it is rated for users up to 320 lbs. This item appears to be sturdy and well-built, and fusionclimb.com is a company that specializes in making things like this. Although I haven't used it yet, if it's utilized as intended, I'd be confident using it for the odd roofing chores I need to complete. This device is at least comparable to the rope grips I used during fall arrest/restraint training at work. This one requires you to slide it on and move it to where you want it to be before releasing it. It does not automatically "follow" you and cannot be slipped on at any point along the rope. Even if it requires a bit more work, I feel secure knowing it has already been seized.
Pulleys are used in climbing to redirect the force of the climber's weight and pull the rope through the system. This allows the climber to ascend without having to hold their entire body weight.
A 2 1 pulley is a type of mechanical device that is used to change the direction of an applied force. It consists of two sheaves, or pulleys, that are mounted on a common axle. The applied force is transmitted through a belt or rope that runs over the sheaves. The direction of the force is reversed at the point where the belt or rope changes direction.
A 4 1 pulley system is a type of lifting device that uses four pulleys to lift or move an object. The system is typically used to lift heavy objects, such as engines or other machinery, but can also be used to move objects horizontally.
Climbing equipment refers to the gear used by climbers when scaling a rock face or wall. This equipment includes items such as ropes, harnesses, carabiners, and belay devices.
A Gumby is a nickname given to beginner rock climbers. The term was first used in the 1970s by experienced climbers who would often see beginners struggling to climb up a route. The name Gumby comes from the character in the claymation TV show who is always flexible and able to contort his body into any shape. In climbing, being a Gumby means that you are still learning the basics and have a lot to improve on.
A rock climbing belt is a specialized type of belt that is designed specifically for rock climbing. It is typically made from a lightweight, durable material such as nylon or Kevlar, and is equipped with a variety of features that make it ideal for rock climbing. These features may include multiple loops for attaching gear, a quick-release buckle for safety, and a comfortable fit that stays in place while you climb.
