This punch hole is larger than the one I was using, which I appreciate (I smoke a 50 ring size cigar). I occasionally have to add a second partial punch to one side with the existing one in order to get a better draw. Compared to the previous one I was using, this one is fairly sharp and penetrates farther. I like how the punch screws back on to a post so that the punch you removed from the cigar is no longer attached to the punch. It was a little difficult to get the cigar punch out of the last one.

I simply had to give this punch 5 stars overall because it is so user-friendly and effective with cigars of all sizes. It is simple to grip due to its form. This punch works well, but as you twist it to punch or cut into the cigar, the cutter pulls back into the casing. As long as you keep your thumbs on the upper and bottom halves of the casing, stopping it from twisting and retracting the cutter, the textured surface of the casing is adequate to prevent that. If the cutting head could be locked in place, that would be excellent.

This is an excellent product. Never before used a punch; always used a cutter. I believe I'll switch to the punch. The lid broke off someplace because I believe I didn't tighten the screws on it enough. I heartily endorse this product. However, if you do manage to get it, make sure the CAP is tightly screwed on.

The blade of this cutter extends by twisting. The issue is that, contrary to how the photo seems, the twist actually occurs between the body and the small connector in the back. It is challenging to turn it with one hand because of this. Additionally, the design of the item makes utilising it when the back is attached to anything difficult. I had bought it to use on a "keychain" with other cutters. The blade is sharp otherwise.
