Although I felt the packaging was quite protective and the temperature during shipment must have been good, I received my package of 24 truffles in perfect form, so I can see why some customers gave the product a negative review if the truffles arrived broken or melted. The truffles are protected by a lot of inside padding and plastic, and as I ripped the packaging off, I was eager to start eating. I've tasted four of the six varieties, and I'd say Tiramisu and Creme Brulee are my favorites. I've also had the Black Forest Cake and Chocolate Lava Cake flavors, both of which are fantastic! The best examples of this are the Tiramisu and Creme Brulee truffles, which are meant to resemble the cakes and pastries on which they are based. When you put these in your mouth and begin to chew, it feels like you're eating the real thing. For example, when you bite into a Tiramisu, you can almost feel the ladyfingers, creme patisserie, shaved chocolate, and espresso beans. When you bite into a Creme Brulee, you get the creaminess of the custard mixed with the crunch of the caramelized sugar. Similarly, the Black Forest Cake has a powerful raspberry tang that is nicely balanced with that dark chocolate ganache, while the Chocolate Lava Cake truffle contains cake-like and smooth chocolate components. When compared to the cost and time involved in creating or obtaining a real Black Forest Cake, Tiramisu, or Creme Brulee (when all you want is a mouthful or two), this collection of truffles is ideal for getting the real taste at a fair price.

Since I purchased these to give out to trick-or-treaters, I haven't used them yet. As this will be our first year handing out since our six children have grown up, my Shih Tzu fur baby and I will sit outside and distribute Halloween candy to other people's children while dressing as ladybugs. Regarding the confection itself, the truffles are delectable. The truffles' inside are creamy and delicious, and their chocolate shells are lovely. The level of quality one would anticipate from Lindt.The product description clearly states how much candy is contained in this box. A picture of the box's size and another of the truffles' appearance are both included. Some people may be able to estimate how many candy mouthfuls 7.3 oz. of chocolate truffles equates to. However, some people could rely more on the images. A little deceiving are the images of the closed box and the truffles. When the box is opened, the actual candy is surrounded by a border of around 1 inch. Consequently, there is a lot of vacant space in the box. 17 truffles are seen in the images of the truffles. If one looks at the nutritional information photo, it indicates that a serving size is two truffles (who cares about the nutritional information for candy?). Then it states that the box contains "approximately" 7 servings. In actuality, each package contains 13 truffles. There are always the same number of truffles, disproving the "approximately" 7 servings assertion. There is a plastic tray with 13 truffle-shaped mold spaces inside the box. There are 13 truffles in each box. Perhaps Amazon could take into account including a picture of the inside of the box so that customers can better understand what they are purchasing.

With Christmas holiday wrapping, leftover Christmas holiday flavors such as white peppermint bark-style truffles, etc. were present. While the usual milk chocolate flavor predominated, these were unmistakably leftovers (they still seemed reasonably fresh). It was a strange assortment because there were tastes like butter pecan, coconut, and one that might have been toffee or coffee (the flavor wasn't identified on the package). The quantity was important in making this buy, however I wish the flavors were more conventional. The "bear" that was present was little, scarcely bigger than a typical truffle.

Before I go any further, I just want to clarify that I am aware of Amazon's review criteria, which state that you should not discuss the seller or delivery experience, but because this is a repackaged product, I feel that information is pertinent to the review of the product. The packaging it came in did not have the official Lindt logo, so at the very least, I suppose that it has been repackaged.I requested economy shipping in the hopes that I wouldn't return home to chocolate soup (I live in Florida, and it is hot enough to turn a box of delicious chocolates into soup in an hour outside). Without a doubt, I was pleasantly surprised when World Wide Chocolates dispatched the chocolates priority mail 2-day through the USPS, well ahead of my projected delivery date range of the 24th to the 30th.This is not how Lindor typically packages its chocolate; the chocolate truffles were delivered in a USPS regional rate box that contained another box that was plain white and held the chocolate. The inner box's sticker stated that the contents would expire in October 2015, but I have a feeling they won't last that long. I'm happy to report that neither box's inside, nor any of the truffles' shells, are even slightly stained by chocolate that leaked from the boxes. But what surprised me was that they weren't packaged with dry ice or any other cooling pack. Some of the truffles I tasted had runnier interiors than typical, but once they are inside, they will harden up with time.They are excellent and unmelted in spite of it. Extra dark chocolate (black), raspberry (hot pink), peanut butter (brownish), caramel (also brownish), milk chocolate (red), sea salt (medium blue), dark chocolate (dark blue), and stracciatella are among the many flavors included in the box (light blue). Even if some of the truffles, like those with caramel, peanut butter, and sea salt, and caramel with sea salt, appear to be different hues, they are still still delectable.The fact that these arrived unmelted and that Lindor's quality chocolate speaks for itself makes me likely to order them again.
