I love this chair mat. Let's start by discussing the construction quality. The majority of chair mats you purchase are neither thick or completely translucent, and depending on the quality you receive, they may only last you a few weeks to a month. However, it is with this chair mat! This monster mat is only 1/5 thick! When I say "crystal clear," I really mean it. It appears to be a sizable piece of glass. If you intended to place it on flooring such as carpet, hardwood, tile, etc. It looks fantastic and sets well. The only reason you can tell it's there is because of the way light reflects off it in comparison to ordinary flooring. I expected it would get scratched after a few days because of the weight on my wheels and the displacement on the mat, but to the best of my knowledge, there were no scratches! This mat is quite well made. It is also quite large, so if you prefer to move around in your chair more, you are not restricted to a little area. Your chair rolls effortlessly once it is on the mat. I would give this chair mat a 10/10 recommendation to anyone searching for one for the business, the home, or simply to have mobility while working or playing on their computer.Cons: None

I don't frequently write product evaluations (or respond to surveys), but this item deserves one. It arrived yesterday, and today I unpacked it and set it up. The chair looks beautiful, rolls easily, and gives me the added benefit of an extra 1/2 "is tall. Although I could have done the same with my chair, the mat height and chair settings put me in a more comfortable position for my work and my legs. I've already spoken highly about it to family and friends. There should be something for almost everyone's interests and styles given the excellent assortment of colors and patterns. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could, but only because I really wanted it to be 6 "wider. It would be ideal if the measurements were 42" x 54" (hint, hint, manufacturer)!

Let me start by saying that I did not buy this with the intention of using it in an office environment. The carpet in the van, where my husband must move from his wheelchair, is instead covered. He can move the chair easily and because it is so strong, both his weight and the weight of the wheelchair are supported. I purchased the model without the cutout, and it fit perfectly in between his tight-fitting pants. Previously, we had additional thin carpet, but it frequently became tangled in the elevator. My flat has a built-in desk on carpet in the living room. An empty office chair leaves grooves in the carpet that make moving the chair challenging. To keep the mat in place under the chair, I bought a plastic mat that can be folded up and has teeth. Despite my attempts to flatten the mat using a hair drier and substantial iron garden steps, it remained curled for literally years. Because the mat wasn't flat, the teeth couldn't grab the carpet. My fingers stung when I tried to lift the mat because the teeth were so sharp. The mat eventually relaxed, but it was challenging to position the chair since the grooves that had formed beneath the chair wheels had split and turned into holes. All those issues were resolved by this mat. The mat arrived flat but not brittle, and the plastic is a little thicker. The mat is kept flat by the strength of the material while having the same type of teeth. I can see that scratches that resemble chalk marks are beginning to appear. I haven't tried to wash them off because they don't bother me. It moves so readily that when I get up from the chair, I back it up against the desk to keep it in place.

When I lived in Denver, where it is cold and dry, I had mats similar to these in the past, but I gave up on them since they frequently cracked. I thought I would give the poly mat another shot since I moved to FL where it is constantly warmer and more humid. This mat functions well and doesn't seem to want to break; it's the perfect balance of firm and forgiving. It holds firmly on carpet with a medium pile, but it would probably struggle on carpet with a thick pile. Unfortunately, this mat is not nearly wide enough for my "L"-shaped workstation. When working from the side table, the chair's wheels tend to roll off the edge. It would be the proper size if it were 47 by 46 inches. It would be excellent for a single desk.
