Mirror Dash Cam, DuDuBell 4.3” Car Dash Camera Touch Screen 1080P 290° Wide Angle Backup Camera, Dual Dashboard Recorder with 6G Enhanced Night Vision, HDR Review:

For the price, I got way more out of this camera system than I expected!

I’ll admit that when I received and opened the well-packaged box, I was a little intimidated with all the wires and pieces inside. However, I was put to ease rather quickly when I saw how simple the installation really was (and yes, I did my own installation). The camera attaches securely over your existing mirror, and is held in place by attaching the rubber bands on the back side of the mirror. I opted to use the provided car lighter adapter to power the system. The cord plugs in to the top of the mirror. I ran the wire along and tucked in the head liner, running the cord along the side, and tucking it into the panel along the side next to the windshield. Down below, I zip-tied the cord along the bottom in two sections, ensuring the cord was not visible, not drooping, and out of the way. I was then able to plug it into the car lighter and can now forget about it!

You will need to buy a separate TF card. I chose to use a Sandisk 32GB Class 10 card (the recommended configuration), and paid under $10 for it. Once I received it, I then inserted the card in its port on top of the mirror. Turning on my car, I quickly found the setting to format the card, and was good to start using the system. Prior to using, I set the loop control to 3 minutes (meaning the camera will record a new video every three minutes). I customized a few other features from which you can read about in the instruction manual. It’s all very easy to understand and work with!

Using the camera is a piece of cake! There is nothing for you to do. The reflection of the rearview mirror is clear. There is a blue tint on the mirror, but that does not pose any problems that I have noticed. Once you start your car, the system will automatically boot up and start recording on its own. If you do not wish to record, you can easily turn off the recorder; again, simple. The display is automatically visible upon start of the vehicle, showing what the camera is seeing. If you do not want to see the display, you can press the power button on the bottom center of the mirror to shut it off (note: the camera is still recording, unless you shut off the recording manually).

Getting the video off the mirror is pretty easy. I prefer to eject the card from the mirror and put it into an adapter (made for cell phone cards that will plug directly into my card input reader). This will provide the quickest transfer rate, from what I have seen. However, if you would choose another option, then you can use the provided mini USB cable to attach a laptop to your mirror and download your data that way.

I did not opt to install the rear camera as my car already has one built in and ties to my dash display. But, I can imagine that the rest of that installation would likely be as easy as putting on the rearview mirror and associated cabling.

Again, what you pay for compared to what you actually get is incredible! I bought this system over other camera systems because of the great reviews here, and am happy to echo the same great results! I hope to enjoy this robust system for a long time! I have attached a video to this review. At the end is a copy of the actual recording of a trip I took, just to show how good the quality really is.

Crosstour Dual Mirror Dash Cam, Waterproof Rear View Backup Camera,7’’ Full 1080P IPS Touch Screen 290° Wide Angle Cam with G-sensor, Parking Monitor, Loop Recording Review:

First of all i have had this Mirror Dash Cam for the past weeks and has been a great addition to my veichle for recording in case i get involved in a accident i have a witness along with me. What i like is that it has a universal fit and can be installed on many different vehicles. It came with all accessories needed to install on veichle and a user manual along with. Installation time took roughly about 1 hr to run all wires on my truck and connect rear camera on reverse light of truck. The 7 inch touchscreen responsiveness works great and settings are easy to navigate to record video on both front camera and rear. I highly reccomend purchasing if u need a nice working dash cam for your vehicle.

Backup Camera Car Mirror Dash Cam,12'' IPS Full Touch Screen,2560P+1080P Resolution Front and Rear View Dual Lens,32G TF Card Included Review:

I have purchased other dash cams from Amazon, using the older SONY IMX323 video chip, but with the newer SONY Starlight IMX 335 video chip, the night sensitivity, and clarity of the Dymco unit is far superior to other dash cams!

BE AWARE, HOWEVER, OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF SETTING THE 'G-SENSOR' OF THE DMYCO UNIT TO THE 'HIGH' SENSITIVITY OPTION/POSITION:
While doing some testing of the Dmyco unit's controls, I have discovered something that all owners of this unit should be aware of: If the 'G-sensor' is set to 'HIGH' sensitivity, you will constantly see a 'yellow bar' travel across the screen, from left to right. This yellow bar is in fact an indication of a 'locking' of the video picture that the dash cam has interpreted as a 'collision'. Also, when the bar is moving along the bottom of the dash cam screen, you will have NO touch-control of the touch screen at all! I learned this fact when I was leaving the car, with the unit on, and when I closed the car door, the yellow bar started the travel across the screen! That is when I learned the 'secret' as to exactly what that yellow bar indicated, and what side-effects of no control it produced! Also when the G-sensor is set to 'high', just touching the screen, with other than an EXTREMELY LIGHT TOUCH, will also produce the artificial 'collision' interpretation by the dash cam, which, in turn will generate that yellow bar, and again with no control of the touch screen during the yellow bar's travel. Also in this same 'high' sensitivity-condition, the bumps, and rough road pot-holes, will likewise produce this artificial 'collision-condition' THAT ENDLESSLY REPEATS over and over, preventing other selections by the touch screen, and a denial of a continuous video recording record of your travels that you are expecting to achieve. SOLUTION: JUST SET THE 'G-SENSOR' TO NO HIGHER THAN 'MEDIUM' OR LESS, and all should be fine! I hope that this tip will preclude sending this EXCELLENT dash cam back to Amazon, for those users thinking that the unit's lack of control of the touch screen was a problem! It isn't the dash cam's fault!

TOGUARD Backup Camera 5" LCD Mirror Dash Cam Rear View Mirror Camera Ultra-Thin Touch Screen Full HD 1080P Dash Cam Front and Rear Dual Lens with Waterproof Rear Camera Review:

Last year my car's built-in back up camera stopped working so I wanted to find an unobtrusive replacement. I ordered the 7inch ToGuard Mirror DashCam, as a restauranteur my schedule can be a bit...crazy so it took over a month before I finally had the opportunity to install it, it worked great for about a week and unfortunately had some issues. I contacted ToGuard support and much to my surprise given the time that had passed they were willing to help me with the issue, after some troubleshooting they replaced the unit for me, and I'm happy to say it has been bulletproof ever since!

Now we've purchased another vehicle, a full-size truck (F150 (order the extension cable!)), while this is no stranger to me (I've navigated a 40 foot tour-bus and trailer through downtown Chicago), it is new to my wife, so instantly I thought to get another ToGuard Mirror DashCam, as we use the truck to pull our camper I wanted a smaller display so I could use the mirror/back up camera simultaneously. We purchased this 5" Model and we are absolutely thrilled!

The first thing we noticed when unboxing the unit to install was how thin and well made it felt, it's about the same thickness as my cellphone (Pixel 3 XL) and feels hefty and very well engineered in your hands.

After getting it installed I was impressed with the number of options available in the settings and the image quality is awesome day and night, especially with the WDR setting, enabled. I've uploaded a sample video, but I downscaled before uploading to 480p for better streaming quality.

Navigation through the menus and features is very user-friendly, there are a few places where the translation isn't the strongest but it's very easy to understand the intended meaning. The only issue I found was setting the time, it isn't obvious but you simply tap above or below the number you wish to change.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this unit, and ToGuard in general as they stand behind what they sell!

TOGUARD Backup Camera 10" Mirror Dash Cam, Dash Cam Front and Rear Full Touch Screen Video Streaming Rear View Mirror Camera,Night Vision Waterproof 1080P Rear Camera Review:

This in my review of the To guard integrated rear view mirror dash cam with wired rear view camera model CE60. In case you went to the video before reading the review, please know that Amazon does not provide hi res videos so I uploaded a higher res version on the popular online video site to show a better idea of the video quality.

I love the Toguard rear view mirror dash cams with built in video touch screens and this is my third one! I bought my first one primarily to install on a rental car for a trip to Italy last year and then put it on my own car when I returned home. My wife then wanted one for her car and our son now has his own car and we thought it would be a good idea to put one on his car too so purchased this new model, which has a high def resolution (1080p/720p) on both the front and rear cameras. I decided to put this new one on my own car and give him the one from my car with the lower resolution rear camera.

Integrating the camera and DV recording functions into the mirror makes it appear as if it is just part of the car. The unit easily attaches over the cars original rearview mirror using elastic bands and is powered by a regular 12 volt power plug that connects directly in to an available cigarette type power port. It is easy to route the wires using the included plastic tool to lift up the cars molding and rubber stripping when hiding the power and rear-view camera wires. My car is leased, so to avoid drilling a hole in the sheet metal, I always install the rear-view camera inside on the back window using the included double-sided foam tape. I think it is safer too since it seems less likely to get damaged if getting rear ended, but the rear camera is weather proof and certainly can be installed outside if preferred. All of our cars already have back up cameras built-in. For those who don’t, it is possible to make the rear camera activate automatically when the car is placed in reverse and display on the mirrors built in screen. It simply requires attaching the red wire to back up light wiring. But this unit (unlike our others), in addition to powering on the device when starting the car, will automatically display the rear camera view by default, displaying the rear view on the screen whenever the car is started. This can provide an automatic backup assist in most cases without relying on connecting the backup wires. And it is also a simple matter to activate the video display by merely touching the mirror glass. The settings menu provides timed options for how long the camera view remains on the display before automatically shutting off to act as a mirror while the device continues to record.

Video as (well as audio if desired), is recorded to a micro SD card that you provide. I have been using 64 Gig cards and getting several hours of recording time without any issues though I see they support 32 gig SD. The .mov files are named using time and date, with an “F” or “R” to indicate which camera. Each camera’s files are stored in a separate folder. Files triggered by the G SHOCK sensing (when set to “on”) are stored in their own folder. Videos can be viewed on the built in 10 inch screen which is virtually the entire width of the mirror. The device is nearly identical in size to my car’s factory mirror. The camera slides out of the housing to clear the cars original mirror and can be tilted to adjust the viewing angle separate from the mirror.

Operation is simple and intuitive. Starting the vehicle will power on the device (dependent on power source) and it will immediately display the rear-view camera and begin recording. A “long press” of the power button on the bottom of the unit will power the unit off if desired. The touch screen display will automatically go off and become a normal mirror after a preprogrammed time the user selects in the settings menu. Or a short press of the power button will also turn off the display. When the display is on, a series of buttons appear along the bottom. The center red button will turn the recording function on and off. It must be in “off” to enter he menu and DVR. The menu is where resolution, time, date and other basic settings are set. The DVR is where the files are stored for viewing directly on the mirrors build in video display. Of course the SD card can be removed to use on a computer. There is also a button to switch between front and rear cameras and the far right button can be used to lock the files from being over written.
The video quality from both cameras is excellent and captures low light conditions better than other cameras I have used. And the image “angle” of the rear view camera can be adjusted by dragging on the display to customize the view. The unit can accept an optional GPS unit which the manual says can capture and display speed and direction information. There is a “Parking Monitoring” function in the settings that also requires something additional to work. According to the manual, it will enable the device to automatically turn on and begin recording in the event its sensor detects shaking movement when the vehicle is turned off. I presume TOGUARD can supply those options.

Dash cams are important to capture video in the event of an accident, but we have at times captured animals crossing the road (Coyotes and turkeys) as well as on one occasion an accident that occurred to a vehicle ahead of us. Ours have operated silently and reliably. In my opinion, no car should be without one and I have been very impressed with the three Toguard models I have purchased. Five stars!

Mirror Dash Cam, DuDuBell 7" Backup Camera with External GPS, 1080P Front and 1080P Rear Camera with Starlight Night Vision IPS Touch Screen 290° Wide Angle, Reverse Assistance Parking Monitor HDR+ Review:

Posting this review after carefully using this Mirror Dash Cam for couple of days. I was looking for a Dash Cam with a rear view camera for my old car. I usually purchase anything after checking reviews on amazon and it had all 5 start reviews. This Dash Cam fulfilled all my criteria’s and was well in my budget. So I decided to give a try on this.
This Dash Cam delivered on time and packaging was excellent. It is very well built. User manual is very easy to understand and gives enough details for settings and installation.
Installing front camera was very easy. You don’t have to uninstall/remove your original rear view mirror. You just have to fix on top of it. This Dash Cam mirror is touch screen and bigger than the original installed rear view mirror so camera lens view is not blocked. You have an option to keep display running or turn off. You will need to purchase memory card separately as it’s not included. Your driving data will be safe with you in this memory card. I am using 32GB memory card and not found any issues.
This Dash Cam has many useful warning features. It has a forward collision warning, which warns you when you have less than 10 meter distance from a car ahead of you. It also has a lane departure warning. These features works perfectly and found very useful for my wife as she is a new driver. It comes with external GPS and it locate position even in basement parking. I have seen this GPS locates position within 3-5 seconds. Image quality in a day and night time is good and clear. I am very happy with this Mirror Dash Cam and this is my best purchase.

TOGUARD Backup Camera 7" Mirror Dash Cam Touch Screen 1080P Rearview Front and Rear Dual Lens with Waterproof Reversing Camera Review:

I just got around to putting this thing in my car after a run-in with another maniac driver today.

First:
The directions are pretty basic. I agree with everyone here who has said to watch a YouTube video if you don’t know how to hide wires. As yes, both the front and rear cameras have wires.

The wire from the mirror itself will run to your cigarette lighter. The rear camera wire will run to the mirror. If you want the rear camera to come on when you back up, you also have to connect the little red wire to your reverse light.

Install: 2015 Dodge Charger Rallye
Time: 45 minutes
Difficulty: Moderate, due to wires
Modifications: None. Rear camera installed inside of car in rear window without reverse connection. (I have a stock backup camera system.

My first impression is that it’s really nice. I have a mirror that is close to the ceiling so, I followed the reviews and hooked he rubber bands onto the top and pulled down to connect to the bottom. Took 2 minutes. Larger than my OEM mirror by a couple of inches. Wire wasn’t much of a big deal to hide because the interior is all black and I installed car radios “back in the day”.

The rear camera took a bit longer. I had PLENTY of cable. To get the best view, the camera would have to be mounted up high but I don’t want it to be noticeable. It’s a fixed camera and it would’ve been SUPER if it had a pivot joint. I could have mounted up high for a better view and angled to the middle of the car. I have it hiding between the decal on my rear window and I can see the car behind me. Good enough for now. If you’re putting it on for backup camera usage, you’ll need to get inventive: like most, I would absolutely not drill holes in my car for this and that will take some thinking to get around.

Both cameras have a great picture. Use the little blue tool in your box to pop your SD card in and out. I used a 64 GB card rated best and it’s working great.

Can’t think of anything else to include. I’ll update the review if anything happens.

Manufacturer: please put the rear camera on a swivel mount to make it adjustable! I actually liked how small the adhesive clips are to window mount too. I just don’t want to see the wires hanging. (No way to avoid that in my model car.)

Pruveeo Dash Cam Mirror Mount Kit for 95% Dash Cam and GPS Review:

I don't typically comment on most of the things I get, but this is one of the few things I am going to. Comparing this to suction cups, true, for me at least, I myself have found this item to be a slight challenge to get on to a mirror that your supposed to, but, once you get it onto a mirror, you don't have to worry about it falling off in either the summer heat, or the winter cold as I've some reason had with the cold, with suction cups. With suction cups, you do have the quickness and versitility of a suction cup, but as I've mentioned above, you end up with problems once it gets hot enough on your windshield with suction cups, and I don't know if I am the only one who has had this problem with suction cups, or if it was just something defective with the suction cup or if the suction cup and/or the windshield was dirty, I had problems with suction cups in the cold of winter as well. This mirror mount takes care of that problem. Plus it puts your device that you want to mount to your mirror mount more out of the way of your periferal view out the window so you can see more. Also, I liked this so much (on the side note of it being a bit of a pain getting on and off), I got 2 of them. Plus, you don't get the ring mark on your windowwith the mirror mount as you get with suction cups.

TOGUARD Backup Camera 4.3" Mirror Dash Cam 1080P Touch Screen Front and Rear Dual Lens Car Camera with Parking Assistance G-Sensor,Waterproof Rear View Revers Camera Review:

Super satisfied with this. I was intimidated about installing the backup camera, but it turned out to be a breeze. The camera itself is excellent quality. I was very suspicious considering how cheap it was, but it shipped out quickly, the seller was communicative when I asked questions, and the unit itself was in fantastic shape. I have been using my GoPro, dash-mounted as my dash cam, but I was getting tired of having to charge it, turn it on and off, etc. This thing does it all, has a parking made, and came with the backup camera that instantly had me spoiled. I drive a Jeep Wrangler and it was already an ease to fit into parking spaces and backup.

Another reason I like it is that if I go topless in the jeep, the whole thing is super quick to detach and lock up in the console along with my GPS. It takes about 10-15 seconds to pull it out of the console and re-attach it. I don't often go topless unless I'm out on a trail or camping, but living in Hawaii, sometimes I just want to have a beach day and take the top off while I'm at it. This makes me a little nervous, though, because the size of the camera is obvious in a topless Jeep to even the most casual car person. When the top is on, people only notice when they get in, but with it off, it's like a sign that says "steal me". I have also felt it's like an advertisement when I am detaching all my gear for the whole world to see and then stowing it in my console. While they can be tough to break into, it isn't exactly a safe.
