Fantastic product Simple to set up and utilize.I decided to get a set of these to test them out. I bought the empty, needing to be filled and sealed ones. Really simple, and the very thorough printed instructions that come with the boxes explain both what to do and what not to do. For me, it was crucial to avoid doing something like leaving water in the area you were going to seal. The water turns to steam when heated with an iron, making a tight seal impossible. However, it was simple to remove the moisture and reseal. With a paper towel, I dried off any water that was above the zip lock on the others.I sealed them and stored them in my deep freezer for roughly two days. To enable effective freezing... I also bought a soft cooler from Amazon, which I used. used two of the frozen Cooler Shock packs and filled with six cold water bottles. I put the cooler in the rear seat of my work-related commuting vehicle. Throughout my nine-hour shift, the automobile is in full sunlight. The ambient temperature rose to between 106 and 108 degrees during the testing week, allowing my car's interior to reach a minimum temperature of almost 150 degrees. After the first test day, I checked the packs, and they were still intact. On the second test day, they were softening but were still quite frigid. On the third day, the packs had returned to their gel form and the water within was still very cold. Without adding or removing any of the ingredients, I would say that after four days in a hot car, the packs were cool, but not as cold as grabbing a bottle of water out of a frig. Despite using the same packs for 4 days, the test was quite successful. a great deal less expensive than buying ice and fixing water leaks... I would strongly suggest them, and the ones I purchased were packaged in fours. Therefore, I think they would last a lot longer if I had utilized all four. In order to provide my wife and kids with an ice-cold bottle of water after a long day of school, I am currently running two every two days in the same cooler. Since I know they will leave the cooler open and lose some of its cold surface area, I have only been rotating two every day.

Our puppy is a Samoyed (double-coated fluff ball), which is built for snow and sledding but not for the heat of Houston. We chose her since the breed is reputed to be hypoallergenic and excellent with children. She was becoming too hot in her box, which prevented her from sleeping through the night. We merely wrapped it in a paper towel.I work 10-hour shifts, and unless the ice pack we're using thaws, I often only need to refill it once each shift. I owned two vintage Coleman coolers with cracked plastic hinges. The smaller of my two coolers, which were both at least ten years old, did not have wheels. I set out to purchase new coolers, which proved to be more difficult than I had anticipated. Given the storage space behind the front seats of my Ford F150, the coolers had grown larger than I had wanted over the years. When I finally located an Igloo ice chest that was the perfect size, I noticed that its wheels were placed on the short sides rather than the long sides after bringing it home. I didn't have an aisle that broad in my two-car garage, which meant that the ice chest had to be pushed in the direction of its breadth. The new ice chest did not have a drain plug, whereas my old one did. So, I placed a replacement hinge order. The hinges were straightforward to install, fit both chests, and allowed me to continue using familiar chests while saving over $50. Each chest had a model number on the bottom, and while the number on one of the chests did not match the replacement number, the hinge sizes and hole placements corresponded. (If you intend to do this, keep your shattered hinges as a reference.)

In order to replace wet, disposable ice, I purchased a few Yeti ice products. I didn't have high hopes. In my Tundra 35 this morning, I placed my (frozen) Yeti ice at the bottom, added some wine and beer, and then covered it with a bag of ice purchased from a store. Although I didn't chill my Tundra beforehand, the wine and beer were chilled. After loading the Tundra, I discovered that some of the commercial ice had melted and then refroze into Yeti ice a few hours later. A bottle of wine also solidified to the Yeti ice when the two prices of Yeti ice froze together. Impressive! These claims are true!
