Yes, you can use ND filters at night. This can be helpful if you want to avoid overexposing your photos or if you want to capture light trails.
Yes, you can use ND filters indoors. ND filters can be used to reduce the amount of light entering the camera, which can be helpful when shooting indoors with high ISO settings. ND filters can also help to create a shallow depth of field, which can be beneficial for portraits or other close-up shots.
Yes, ND filters can affect autofocus, especially if they are very dense. The camera may have difficulty focusing through the filter if it is very dark.
Yes, ND filters can affect image quality. They can cause a loss of sharpness and detail, and can introduce a color cast.

This purchase has been somewhat of a departure for me because I have always been a devoted Hoya filter devotee. I recently bought some new Sony lenses, thus I required step-up adapters and new ND filters for them. After extensive study over several days, numerous negative brand experiences, and the impossibility to obtain Hoya filters in less than three weeks, I made the decision to give Breakthrough Photography a shot.Recognize right away that this business is a "Kickstarter." They generally have the wrong mindset when it comes to beginning and managing a business, and this generally prevents them from building a long-lasting organization or one that can continue producing high-quality goods. It's probably ridiculous to think that you will be able to get more or replacements in five years, or that they won't be made in a remote region of China using faulty plastic and expired bubblegum. On the other hand, I wish them luck and longevity. The items I've used thus far are really high quality, thoughtfully designed, and solidly constructed. They are not joking when they claim that their neutral density filters are neutral. Yes, I KNOW you can get rid of color cast in post-production, but I really, really detest having to spend additional time there just because I couldn't be bothered to get a nice filter. I know some people don't care about color cast and others even use it to good advantage. The clarity of these filters is another aspect I really appreciate. While I can't answer for whether these are suitable for pros, I can't tell the difference in image quality between shots made with a Sony a99MK2 and Zeiss glass using one of these ND filters or not (and I've really tried). The serrations on the ring are another feature I really appreciate, primarily since I'm old. Compared to filters with small micro grooves that pass for serrations, they are easier to grip onto and much simpler to install and remove.I'm quite pleased with the product overall. I'm not sure if they're good enough to persuade me to stop purchasing Hoya filters entirely, but I don't regret purchasing these at all.:)

This is a fantastic choice for outdoor photography or videography. It's far simpler to just twist the filter to adjust the quantity of light entering the lens than to continuously switch between different strength filters or to use a 4x4 filter component, such as a Cokin filter. Other models may have vignetting or a "X" pattern, but not this one. This is an excellent tool to have when you want to travel light and want to photograph outside because it's really simple to use, even for a beginner.

These ND filters have really pleased me. They are what I use with my GoPro Hero 5 Black model. Particularly in bright sunlight, they work incredibly well to reduce glare and provide a certain richness to my GoPro pictures and videos. The 3 filters can be kept in the box or packing. This is undoubtedly beneficial. The ND rating of each filter is listed on the label. The only issue I've had with them, which is not a design flaw, was when I attempted to use them for some night shooting. I had a lot of trouble reading the ND number. This is probably more a result of my deteriorating vision than a problem with the language itself. I really loved the fit because it felt snug and slid right onto my GoPro lens.No grievances. These are excellent work from Telesin!

After reading some of the unfavorable reviews concerning vignetting, shadows, odd color hazing, and strange tints, I'll confess that I was dubious, but I reasoned that for the price, it was worth a try. I enjoy the filter a lot! Yes, the modifications can be a little complicated at first, but after using it for a while and getting a feel for it, it's not difficult to produce gorgeous photographs. There were no unusual purples or blues, and I didn't detect any color differences or odd tints. Everything appeared rich and authentic.I docked 1 star because I found that there is a small ghosting — practically a reflection of the filter — that appears on your photographs when you shoot into the sun or another light source, which as a nature photographer might be difficult to avoid. I had to remove the ghosting from the flat water in the first photo I shared. One star less since using some sort of shade seems to help, but I now have one more thing to carry along with me when I travel. This is now my go-to filter for shooting waterfalls or any water-based scenery, barring that one problem. I adore it.

You need Adobe Flash Player to view this video.Download Flash Player.Very user-friendly, and the material looks excellent. I adore the outcome. You can achieve far better results by experimenting with the white balance. When the sun prevents me from seeing anything in the camera, I tested with ISO 100, f/1.8, and 1/125 sec., and this allowed me to make it completely dark as well as the desired tone.

As my interest in photography grew, I began to amass a variety of accessories to round out my camera setup. A good set of filters for my camera was one of the things I felt was crucial. When it came to ND filters, I was a little pickier than when it came to UV filters of different brands. First of all, I wanted one that was both well-made and affordable. I finally located what I was seeking for in the K
Yes, ND filters help with photos by reducing the amount of light that enters the camera. This allows for a longer exposure time, which can result in a more evenly lit photo with less blown out highlights.
Yes, many professionals use lens filters. They can help protect your lens from scratches, fingerprints, and other debris. They can also help reduce glare and reflections.
ND filters are often used in landscape photography to help reduce the amount of light coming into the camera. This can help to create longer exposure times, which can help to create a more dreamy or ethereal look to the image. ND filters can also help to reduce the amount of glare and reflections in an image.
No, you don't need an ND filter for street photography. However, if you want to shoot with a very wide aperture, an ND filter can help you to avoid overexposing your image.
Neutral density filters are often used in photography to reduce the amount of light that enters the lens. This can be helpful in a number of situations, such as when shooting with a very long exposure or when using a very wide aperture. However, neutral density filters are not always necessary. If you're not planning on using a long exposure or wide aperture, you may not need one. Additionally, some cameras have built-in neutral density filters that can be activated when needed. Ultimately, it's up to you whether or not you want to use a neutral density filter.
There's no definitive answer to this question, as the best ND filter to use will vary depending on the situation and the desired effect. However, as a general rule of thumb, the darker the filter, the more light it will block out. So, if you're looking to achieve a long exposure effect, you'll want to use a darker ND filter. Conversely, if you're trying to reduce the amount of light coming into the camera, a lighter ND filter will be more effective. Ultimately, it's up to you to experiment with different ND filters to see what works best in each
