You won't need to purchase a large quantity of plastic sleeves or a large quantity of matboard for backing because everything you need is provided in the right quantity. As a result, without spending a lot of money, it's simple to make your artwork look quite professional and marketable.Adhesive hanging tabs are something that you could want to include or provide as an extra. I've been attempting to come up with a quick, simple, and efficient solution to display matted (but unframed) artwork in these sleeves.(One minor criticism is that a few of my mats appeared to have water damage, but I chose not to fault the seller because I am unsure of when this may have occurred—before or after they arrived. Weeks had gone by the time I discovered, thus I am unable to determine what caused them to be sitting in the box they were delivered to me in. While I can understand how that would happen after reading some of the other reviews here regarding a few useless mats and bent corners, my box arrived well-packaged and with all the mats clean and free of crumples. A few of the backing boards had very tiny tears, but if a mat is placed on top of them, the tears don't matter.They are fairly bright and tidy white. Another reviewer complained that the opening was less than 8x10, which I saw. In these bulk mat purchases, that is virtually always the case. To hang your 8x10 print overhanging, you need the extra room. Although the opening measures 7.5" x 9.5," the description indicates that it is for an 8x10 photo.VERDICT I recently used these to mat photographs for sale at an exhibition in which I participated. There were no subpar mats in the entire batch I received, and the mats displayed well. Of course, I haven't gone through the full box yet, but I did briefly scan them all. I will edit my review if I discover any poor quality torn or crumpled mats later. 100% endorse.

I spent many years working at a framing shop, so purchasing "mass manufactured" pre-cut mats makes me sick to my stomach. I believed framing new artwork would be the greatest storage option for the items I wish to preserve. The mats are fantastic. They have a dazzling white, neatly carved beveled edge and are acid-free. I am incredibly amazed. In order to prevent any damage, they were both packaged and plastic-wrapped when they came. I went looking for more right away. When I run out, I have additional packs in my shopping basket. The Golden State company is something I don't want to overlook.

We exchange postcards that we find in random places that we send to one another. These were what I got so that I could actually do something with all the unused postcards. Most of them are now framed in this, and they look fantastic! Since they are just a little bit too heavy for standard double-sided tape to hold, I use thicker double-sided tape to hold them in place.

I'm delighted I repurchased mats, backer boards, and bags from Golden State Art in large quantities.Photos and artwork look more elegant with the black mats with white core (in or out of a frame). If given with store-bought mats, the backer boards appear to be thicker than most backs (in my opinion). The bags are incredibly clear, which leads me to think that they are made of polyester and Mylar.If not exactly archival quality, these mats, backers, and bags come pretty damned close.As a lifelong photographer who is now retired, I have the leisure to properly present the numerous "unique" prints that are languishing in boxes and albums.If you need several photo mats, this is a fantastic value. I collect toys, and I use these bags to keep the NIB things safe. They are strong, effective, and simple to use. But if I stuff anything odd into the bag, like a box with multiple sides, and extend the top, the side will split. If using the bags for something else, just be aware of their restrictions. They are still much stronger than the ones I tested, though. I've ordered more because I still adore these purses. I forget and run out, but the seller is amazing and ships quickly.

These mattes are perfectly white, which is what I was looking for, but at first I was disappointed that I had to get a 25 pack when I only required 12. But since several of the corners ended up being bent, it turned out I needed more options. They came in a box the same size as the mattes, which was only sealed with cellophane and had no extra filler. These may easily have sustained damage in transport. In the future, I hope this business will think about adding foam formers to its products for shipment or adding some kind of insulation, like paper. I only required six of the 25 parts in my pack, which was disappointing because I would have needed all 25.
