Undoubtedly a sturdy casting. The non-slip surface's rough texture gives the mooring rope a very good bite, ensuring morning security. As it would with polished cleats, I doubt the rope will slip off this. This cleat will undoubtedly snag, so don't expect to drag your rope through it like you would with polished ones. If I could have found stainless hardware that would fit in the head recess supplied, I would have increased the amount of stars, but I had to drill out the screw recess.

They are reasonably priced and well-made. I would also say that based on the images, I believe you can infer. The bolt holes feature a hex depression for a nut and are recessed. This is true whether you are inserting a bolt from above deck or dropping one in from the top and nut-securing it. For you, it holds the hed or nut. While some of you might be using cement anchors and bolts, I used lag bolts in my situation. I just added washers to my bolts. That was successful. That might be an issue for some projects, so I bring it up.

3 bolts and 5 screws were used to attach these. Installation required all 4 bolts. Customer service responded to my email the following day. To obtain me the necessary bolt, they sent me an entirely new order because it appears that there may be additional deliveries with the same issue. The cleats are not quite 4 inches, but they are quite sturdy and well built. Since I haven't used them, I can't attest to their durability, but based solely on aesthetics, they ought to last for a very long time. They're on a boat made of aluminum.

The 6" white powder-coated flip-up cleat is what I bought. It has a white covering and is composed of metal. Your line cannot cross through the centre of it. The mounting hardware must be purchased (3/8 inch bolts and screws are advised). Although it seems well crafted, only time will tell. The item is manufactured in China and marketed by Dock Edge in Woodbridge, Ontario (Canada).This item will function perfectly as a temporary mooring cleat. Since my regular mooring line has loops at both ends, if I were going to use the cleat frequently, I would buy the one with the pass-through feature.

These are sturdy and have a thick enough zinc coating to prevent rust for many years. To fit your bolt head and prevent it from turning when you tighten the other end, they contain counter-sunk hex holes. Since my arms were too short to reach both sides when I was tightening bolts under the deck, this was a bonus. A two-man job became a one-man one as a result.
