Curb Dog

On the Haro Freestyler my son has, it fits perfectly on the back of the frame. Excellent improvement over what was present before. I have no idea what it was, but I threw it away because it was useless. This is ideal. Definitely a recommendation.

V brake
Arch Size: 110mm, Brake Pads Size: 55mm
Material: Alloy and Plastic, Strong and Durable
Will fit 99% V brake bikes
Including the brake pads
$234
Replace some older generic V brakes with these on a child's bike. Expectations should be realistic given that this brake system costs less than $20 and comes with pads (I usually spend close to this on brake pads alone). Strangely, when purchasing a cheap generic component, people seem to expect a high-end Shimano component. Although the spring box is made of plastic, I don't think this is a major issue. Much more gear than I had anticipated was included in the kit, including new mounting bolts with lock-tite already applied, new cable guides, and new rubber coverings for the exposed wire. The installation went smoothly, and I was able to balance the levers and maintain a lovely, even gap when released by adjusting the tensioners. Metal is used to set the back pressure on the pin (another review said it was plastic, that would have been a non-starter but it was metal on mine). Although it appears alright, I don't anticipate miracles from a cheap kit like this. As someone who commutes to work, I've always taken care of all maintenance on the bikes owned by my family. No, however I might get it for one of the child bikes that gets used once on the weekends when the weather is pleasant instead of my commute.

The brake pad is made of hard-wearing rubber and metal, the twill water-leaking tanks of v brake pad will help stop power of your bike in most adverse weather conditions.
Suitable for most of V-brake road bike, mountain bike.

Slightly curved design doesn't hurt the wheel and provide better stopping power, less noise.
Unique sand-guide grooves effectively prevent sand/stone damages to the wheel rims.

Because they have more rubber than the factory Shimano pads, these aftermarket pads last longer. But I would never purchase a bike with V-Brakes once more because, in general, the brake pads deteriorate quickly and I have to continually adjust the brake cables to prevent the brake levers from bottoming out on the handlebars.Undoubtedly one of Shimano's worse ideas.

Beach Cruiser
$234
I wasn't prepared for it to be so thick and meaty. seems really thorough and completes the task. I removed the coaster brakes from a Huffy beach cruiser that I had motorized and installed this on. It did fit perfectly around the back fender, however the adjustment was barely enough to cause it to strike the rim. There are less expensive options, but I'm content with this. The pads themselves are my main gripe; as you can see in the picture, there is no toe in or out adjustment; it's simply a straight bolt. Fortunately, I had a vintage mountain bike with movable saddle pads that I could use to switch it out on. The only reason I didn't give this five stars was because of that. Keep in mind that there are no cables or other components other than the caliper and the mounting hardware.

Includes brake caliper, brake lever, cable and housing
Universal caliper side-pull brake set
For front or rear brakes
Fits 20" and 24" bikes
$234
This part is excellent. I concur with previous reviews in saying that the longest center bolt wasn't long enough for my son's bike, but since I had a longer bolt in the garage, there wasn't much of a problem. those who claim the draw is too strong. The pull is silky smooth after applying WD40 or a similar product to the center pivot. Only 20" to 24" bikes can use this component. Why are folks outraged when a part doesn't fit their beach cruiser or another similar bike when it mentions as much in the part description? This was designed for a child's bike, not a large adult bike. The cable and exterior housing must be severed. It is a universal component. Naturally, it's not designed to fit all bikes. Bring your bike to a bike shop and have them install it for you if you're not handy and have the tools. Overall, it is quite effective and worth the money.
