The trim molding arrived extremely securely wrapped. A can of windshield glue was also present, but I didn't think it was required because the molding already had a beautifully put bead of the adhesive on it. I quickly and easily removed the protective plastic wrap and popped the molding onto the BB5Z-7803136-BA inner windshield molding (which was ordered separately). I required the inner windshield molding because the previous window installer had broken mine.The clips to which this trim molding is meant to be attached are not included. You only need to remove the inner windshield molding and install new clips if it's in good shape. If it's broken, I suggest getting the inner molding stated above, which comes with clips so you won't have to buy the clips if that's the case.Overall, this is a fantastic product that is safe to use and simple to install. It was all I could have hoped for.

These were only recently delivered by mail. They are quite strong and well-made. The vehicle's original components needed to be replaced because they had deteriorated. You won't find a better quality and value for your money than this. Dealerships and auto parts shops charge twice as much for the identical item, yet these products are of superior quality and durability. The old brackets were rather simple to remove, and it was simple to install these. To pry the hinge clips from the sides, you'll need a small object, a T30 bit, and an 11mm deep socket. Other than that, installation and removal only take about 30 to 35 minutes.

The plastic has a nice appearance but isn't particularly thick. It can therefore warp, and mine did. To replace the warped pair, I purchased one additional pair. Of course, I wanted a vent in the first place because it was over my turbo, which naturally produces a lot of heat. I think that using a turbo blanket and some exhaust wrap will be sufficient to prevent warping. It looks nice on my 2018 Camaro in addition to that.

When I spotted fractures in the hinges on my 2011 Escape, I purchased these. I have them put two days later, so I won't have to be concerned about losing the back glass.It "should" take between 30 and 45 minutes to remove the old ones and install the new ones, according to various helpful web videos that demonstrate how to replace these. In my situation, one of the screws was so heavily rusted that I was unable to remove it with the star bit and was forced to drill it out. In order to avoid breaking the glass, I used a 7/32 bit and was very careful to make sure I was drilling in the center of the screw as straight as I could. The glass could be broken if the bit wanders and strikes it (it is tempered glass).Whereas the originals lacked one, these parts have one on the inside. The corrosion that the originals endure should be lessened as a result. Therefore, these are in theory superior to the originals. To demonstrate the severity of the corrosion, I included a photo of the original.The only problem I have with this product is that it comes with nuts. The washer that is attached in the image is significantly smaller than the genuine. I used the first one again. I didn't dock them a star because the type original can be utilized, but it would be wonderful if they could upgrade their product to include a larger attached washer.

If you still require this item for your older Ford Escape, I would suggest this one. I watched a number of YouTube installation videos, and they all had the same issue while attaching the lower bracket on the passenger side. The window defroster brackets are likewise installed on this side, necessitating a longer screw or, as a workaround, bypassing the window defroster installation. Other than that, so far, everything is fine. I hope they don't rust away too quickly.

Unfortunately, one of my car's hinges was broken as I prepared to sell it. The mechanic reported that the hinge alone cost $100 but demanded $200 to repair it. Ridiculous! I did some research and placed my order right away. In no way am I a mechanic. I occasionally forget to change my own wiper blades in addition to not changing my own oil. Wow, I got a deal for 70% less than the lowest local price. Although it did not specifically state that it would operate with manual Windows, it was simple to install and does a fantastic job. It took about 40 minutes to install. To remove all the old broken glass, I had to remove the door panel. The window installed easily after I removed the interior window seal and loosened the channel.Very content!
