This stuff is genuinely miraculous. I occasionally experience reflux at night. It doesn't happen frequently, but when it does, it's typically because I ate something greasy, hot, or fried too soon before going to bed (you know, all of the good stuff). Excellent and perfect performance. I've been taking this for years to treat my heartburn issue. But the issue is that my body has grown dependent on it. I've been able to reduce the dosage to the point that I only need to take a half-pill daily, and it still works. However, the heartburn always returns strongly when I try to wean lower than that. I find it challenging to evaluate this product. The fact that it works and that it should not be used for more than 14 days prevents me from criticizing it, but the producer knows quite well that people will take it every day and that even physicians would advise you to do so.Just wish I wasn't so addicted to it. I would do anything to get rid of it because it is pricey. Even though I only take half a pill currently, I can't see how it could be long-term healthy. So, what can I say? I have almost no heartburn, but I appear to be addicted for life. The choice is yours.Despite the fact that I generally support the majority of generic products, it is also fairly pricey and the generics DO NOT function the same. My life essentially altered once I informed my doctor about the doubling up, which was happening more frequently. He switched me to Nexium. For the most part, I experienced complete, 24-hour relief (except when I ate something I knew I shouldn't, like citrus or something hot).After a few years, I switched employment. insurance companies. I started having regular heartburn approximately a year ago after gaining a lot of weight. I was taking full strength famotidine pills twice day and chewing antacid tablets all day long. I reduced my intake of coffee and foods high in acid, but nothing appeared to help.They perform. I've been taking one pill in the morning for the past 14 days. Don't count on them to work the first day because they need a day to kick in; however, from days 2 through 14, you're good to go.The directions state that you should not take them for more than 14 days, but I'm brave and tried taking them for longer; they don't really help after that. My heartburn is returning after day fifteen. I continue to alternate this two weeks on and two weeks off.They work, the cost is significantly lower than local pharmacies, the tablet is tiny and flavorless, and my heartburn is gone. A few months back, I experimented with the Publix generic version of Nexium, and to my surprise, it wasn't as effective as the name brand.
