This wasabi powder bag is significantly larger than I had anticipated, but that worked out just fine! I was using this wasabi paste to flavor some vegetarian sushi because it was a bit boring. It is fantastic and has a fresh green flavor, but then I had an epiphany and combined the wasabi with some veganaise. It was AMAZING! I switched to conventional mayo because vegan mayo was about $8 per jar at my neighborhood supermarket, and it was still fantastic. Wasabi mayo, in my opinion, has the power to rock your world and tastes wonderful on both meat and vegetables. Great flavor, a lot for the money, and a million ways to use it if you want to get creative. Get inventive with this stuff and consider options other than just wasabi paste. Yummy. Although it's more difficult to grow, I believe that even in Japan, only around 10% of the time is spent using the more expensive, authentic wasabi, which I would really like to sample. Try it out right here. I will eventually. 1.5 ounce Jar of Sushi Sonic 100% Real Powdered Wasabi. However, since you can afford to play with it, this is definitely preferable. The ratio of powder to water required to form a paste is typically 2-1, but this is almost 1-1. Yes, you will save money this way, but the flavor won't be as good as the thing that costs four times as much. Additionally, if you really want to be pretentious, you should be spending $100 per pound while grating the root with a special grater while holding your pinkies up. Horseradish can sustain its fire all night long but real fresh wasabi only maintains it for about 15-20 minutes.I have some news if you were hoping for better for four times less. The prices of goods reflect the cost of production and distribution.I bought this product to give several of my fried items more depth of flavor. Allyl isothiocyanate, which, unlike capsaicin, is not dependent on oil, is what gives wasabi, horse radish, and mustards their heat. While Allyl isothiocyanate can be cooled practically instantly by liquids or any compound containing oils, such as milk, water, and if you're at a sushi restaurant, the rice and fatty fish, the heat from Capsaicin can continue for tens of minutes or for some people create a more serious reaction. This implies that the oily lipids from the chicken inside of my fatty Japanese fried chicken give it a slight kick on the surface. It produces a flavor combination that is potent but not overpowering.

For some reason, the businesses in my neighbourhood no longer sell powdered wasabi; now, they only stock prepared wasabi in tubes, which I don't like. With some sesame-crusted seared ahi, I ordered this one after finding it here. THIS WASABI IS UNBELIEVABLE! I got this to add flavor to homemade snacks like roasted nori snacks and chickpeas. Wasabi powder has 0 points, so it makes a fantastic flavour if you enjoy the kick. I've been on a Weight Watchers program. Last night, I made roasted chickpeas and seasoned them with salt, wasabi powder, a little amount of olive oil, and they turned out delicious. They were, in my opinion, far superior to the wasabi peas I had previously bought. (Add the wasabi and olive oil at the very end to prevent burning.) It's a fairly adaptable seasoning, and adding more or less will change the level of heat. The container is sizable and ought to last a long time. I'll definitely make another purchase.

Would prefer a stronger wasabi flavor.Good: This furikake is quite tasty and the ideal addition to my morning meal of tamago kake gohan (rice and a raw egg cracked on top). A teaspoon added to ordinary rice or pasta results in a delicious mouthful. When I get it (see below), the wasabi flavor is wonderful and adds a slight kick. The flavor of salt is distinct and unmistakably seaweed-derived, not table salt.Bad: I only taste wasabi flavor sometimes, maybe once every three bites, and not much in each bite. It was disappointing because I was expecting this seasoning to taste considerably different from the standard furikake flavor. It doesn't look like the value is all that great either. Maybe I can use this 4-5 times per week to get 6 weeks out of it? I wish a bulk option were available.Additionally, there is a huge desiccant packet inside (a preservative). Very comparable to what you might anticipate receiving as a side dish with your order of sushi at a respectable restaurant. primarily horse radish, although the majority are.If you research real Wasabi, what it is, where it comes from, and how much it costs, you'll realize that this is probably what you're used to eating. This is because, according to numerous reviews I've read on various brands, all they are really getting is green horse radish.If you can deal with having to mix it yourself, I feel this is the best Wasabi product I've discovered so far. I also prefer this to their version that comes in a tube.
