IDEAL FOR EGGNOG & HOLIDAY DISHES
MORE FLAVORFUL THAN PRE-GROUND NUTMEG

I add nutmeg to a number of foods, including desserts and casseroles with eggplant. I reside in a region with few food stores that carry certain spices. I was happy with my purchase when it was delivered because it was both of excellent quality and a very fair price considering the large quantity in the bottle. After being opened, the whole nutmeg will keep for a very long time and remain fresh in the refrigerator. Without a doubt, I'll return to this site in the future.

They made the pricey Christmas Eve 'Mac'n' Cheese worth the cost of the lobster tails. Don't freeze them and let them dry out. A sealed Ziplox bag that you keep in the darkest, coolest part of your pantry works very well. They'll be waiting for you to use them again, even a couple of years from now. You might need to use a pinch more...as they age.....you can. I seem to recall: "Swedish Meatballs. Use your nut Meg instead of all spice. It makes sense."

I looked on Amazon because I couldn't find whole nutmeg in the local grocery stores. Given the variety of brands and sizes available, I chose this one based on user reviews (only 2 at the time but they were 5 stars). The bottle held 15 of the fattest, most aromatic little nuts, and I'm so pleased I did because they were in there! You won't ever purchase ground nutmeg from a shop again. However, the cost has increased to approximately 50.00 since I ordered them on November 13, 2013, when I paid 6.40 (and it was Amazon Prime). So, if you're set on the organic option, keep checking back since the price will eventually decrease. The Spice Hunter Nutmeg, East/West Indies, Whole, 1.9-Ounce Jar is available from Spice Hunter for 6.61 if purchasing non-organic is not a deal-breaker. (I personally don't care if it's not organic, and I probably would have bought the non-organic variety if it had been available.) Additionally, since a microplaner does the same thing as a nutmeg grater, there is no need to purchase one. Therefore, this would be the best option if, like me, you're new to buying whole nutmeg and find Amazon's vast selection bewildering.

This nutmeg is tasty! For less than $1, a full-size bottle? That did make me a little sceptical, but I felt I'd give it a shot at that price. For one of those little little bottles, I typically pay $4 or more. There is no way you could differentiate this nutmeg from my regular brand. I can't, that is. I'll be purchasing more spices from Jackie's Kitchen in the future!

Simply Organic Garlic Powder Certified Organic, 3.64-Ounce Container
$234
Love that you can actually "taste" the garlic in this easy-flowing garlic powder! I also adore the "organic component." Since I don't use salt, flavour is crucial. I use a lot of seasonings. In addition, I see that other spices, which claim to include only garlic powder, appear to collect water and swell in my serving pan, suggesting that there may be more to their "ingredient story" than meets the eye. Simply Organic, on the other hand, seems to exhibit themselves in a true shape, which I appreciate. The same real story applies to me and Simply Organic Cinnamon.

It's a good that Savory is available online because there is just one store nearby that carries it, and I almost ever go there. I read that savory might be used to substitute the flavor of vinegar in dishes as I'm attempting to reduce the amount of acid in my diet to address many health issues. It was my first time using it when I created potato logs. The potato should be split lengthwise in half, then each half should be cut in half again. The wedges should be soaked for 10 minutes in a pan of hot (but not boiling) water. Drain and pat dry. Set your oven to 375 degrees. On a baking sheet, place the potato logs and season with salt, pepper, and a little savory. Here, a little savory flavor goes a long way. Just enough olive oil should be added to cover the potatoes. With your hands, combine the potatoes with the seasoning until they are fully coated. Place the potato logs on the pan with some space between them, and simmer for about 20 minutes. Once the potatoes are well-cooked, turn each wedge over and simmer for an additional ten minutes or so. I was startled that they tasted similar to the vinegar-seasoned fries that some fish restaurants serve.Next, I plan to experiment with the savory to create a low-acid salad dressing.

High-quality, premium sourced celery seed
Fresh flavor guarantee from America's #1 spice brand
Perfect partner for side dishes like coleslaw and potato salads

I should really purchase this in larger quantities. Compared to most cooks, I make a lot of soups and use this very quickly. I wanted to get rid of my little shaker since I hate that damn bottle, so here we are. Anywhere you'd use celery for flavour, add this to soups. You can use it on meat, in dips, or anywhere else. I would advise it to anyone attempting to reduce their salt intake.

I've always enjoyed simply organic's products, but for some reason I've never thought to use their nutmeg. The taste and quality are definitely superior to any other brand I've tested, therefore I'm glad I chose their nutmeg over another one. I bought it so I could make eggnog, which has been a great improvement this year. Just Organics, many thanks!
