I decided to give it a try because of Amazon's simple return policy because I had nothing to lose.In my opinion, the posts who claim a 5-minute install are exaggerating. It only took a couple of minutes! I've included a video so you can see how ridiculously simple this is. Since it pops out so simply, you don't even need the tool from the video; any metal spatula will do the trick! You have all the necessary experience if you can insert a USB thumb drive.My freezer was fixed right away. It was humming perfectly when I plugged it back in, as if nothing had ever been wrong. I find it absurd that a simple temperature controller could make the entire freezer as silent as the afterlife, but all will be okay in the end!

The size is good. There isn't much space in my refrigerator's freezer. So I bought this one. A box is placed inside of another box with the freezer inside. No damage, dings, or scratches. To determine how long it would take for it to freeze, I added a cup of water to it. After some time, it became frozen. It also has a lot of space. It holds more food than you might think! Amazing how BIG this is—more it's than enough for my needs and big enough, in my opinion, to contain a month's worth of frozen meals. I'm glad the 3 cubic feet one slipped by me. It contains a LOT more than the image (or video) would imply (more below). Perfect condition; well-packaged. In fact, as stated in the instructions, the door won't stay closed if the freezer isn't level. Due to my lack of manual dexterity and lack of experience, it took me a considerable amount of time to adjust the feet on each side using a level both horizontally and vertically (checking the side to side tilt and the front-to-back). Although it wasn't tough, it did take some time and persistence. The directions said to turn each foot (two at the front corners) to the right to lower and to the left to rise, which I found a little confusing, but it translates to clockwise for raising and counterclockwise for lowering. The door to my travel trailer had a crooked surface, so it took me a while to level it out. It would be helpful to have a reliable mechanism for guaranteeing that the door remains closed if it ever becomes a problem (like when traveling). At one time, I tried locking the door with the key, and THAT worked.Note: After getting everything in place, I realized that the temperature knob should be originally set to the maximum setting of 5, so I had to pull it out again and adjust it (see photo of the back- the white round dial on the left). So I plugged it in, had everything set to go, and added some water to an ice cube tray. It froze solid in less than TWO hours! (I read reviews of other freezers that claimed the first freezing of the ice took place over night.)It can store 39 full-size Banquet TV dinners, 2 smaller packages, like Lean Cuisines, 4 small frozen juice containers, and 8 smallish burritos, like Don Jose's, according to my experimentation. It begins to gradually melt if you put it on the top shelf, necessitating an ice pick. My home's refrigerator and freezer both behave in this manner. I've stored frozen chicken, fish, and other foods on the top shelf for months at a time with no negative affects; they cook up perfectly. Bought this freezer to augment the freezer in my RV fridge. Space is a premium in a camper thus the size of this unit is just right. We have used it for a year now and are quite delighted with it. We took a round trip to Alaska and used it on food goods heading up and salmon on the route back. The only time we had AC electric when we were in a park overnight. Most days, it was without power for at least 8 hours. No problem! Everything stayed frozen and protected. One day, we had to overnight at WalMart and did not have power. I did not open it till we were ar an RV Park the second day and had power. Everything was still hard frozen. If I could give it 6 stars, I would! I had planned on using an inverter to power it from the batteries while driving each day, however it will not work with the 1000 water inverter I had. Something about the sine wave from the inverter not being compatible with what the freezer demands. Still a wonderful unit for my use.

I purchased this freezer to supplement the one in my refrigerator in my RV. In a camper, space is at a premium, so this unit's size is ideal. We've been using it for a year and are happy with it. We traveled to Alaska once, returning the same way, using it to transport food supplies and salmon. The only time we had AC was when we spent the night in a park. It was without power for at least eight hours on most days. No issue! Everything remained secure and frozen. We once had to spend the night at a Walmart without power. I didn't open it until the second day, when we were in an RV park with power. Everything remained completely frozen. I'd give it six stars if I could! I had intended to use an inverter to run it off the batteries while I was driving every day, but the 1000 watt inverter I had would not support it. Something to do with the sine wave from the inverter not meeting the needs of the freezer. Still a fantastic device for me.
