Before purchasing this, I read way too many reviews of rolling briefcases, but this is another one. My choice ultimately came down to two factors: affordability and feminine elegance, and this purse checks both boxes. Being a mobile office is difficult; mine is constantly dragged across rough parking lots, bouncing across tile floors (with the accompanying noise), going over curbs, going through airport x-ray machines, going in and out of overhead bins, going up ramps, going through puddles, and going in and out of vehicles. Poor durability was mentioned as the main issue with all mobile offices, thus that is the one thing that worries me about this backpack. After only a few months, the telescoping handle becomes problematic, and I frequently need to tighten screws in the handle. I believe that the bag's wheels will most likely stop working before the rest of it does. If that's the case, I hope there's a way to swap out the wheels without having to buy a brand-new bag. It is a terrific bag, despite my fear that it might not endure the test of time! The laptop compartment is capable of holding a larger laptop, and the front tablet pocket is soft and supports an iPad 2 Air within a keyboard cover. The stitching is robust, the zippers function flawlessly, and the handles are suitable for taking it upstairs. The pockets in the laptop area assist prevent tangled chargers, and the organizers up front accommodate all the office tools I require. Nice lining, and the light color makes it simple to find things. Although the back pocket may store numerous thick files, because to its rigidity, it can only take one or two full 1 1/2" binders. Except if I quickly unzip the back compartment too widely and keep it open, the bag stays upright even when fully loaded. The bag's unavoidable exposure to dirt is concealed by its dark tint. Since most rolling briefcases are too big, masculine, and boxy, I've received several compliments from women who enjoy the style. I don't wish to appear to be moving or carrying a suitcase as I move from place to location, despite the fact that I am itinerant and always on the go. Who do you think actually likes this bag? my chiropodist! I can't imagine the reprimand he would give me if he hefted the completely loaded (but cute) designer tote bag I used to carry. On a few times, the doctor lifted my handbag and was shocked at the weight that it imposed on my shoulders. Being physically fit and powerful, I've always accepted that moving things around is a necessary part of my job. However, it is seriously wonderful to only lift the bag when necessary and leave it on wheels the rest of the day! Additionally, I can recall numerous occasions when I was stopped by individuals to talk about something, and the weight of the bag caused me to unintentionally end conversations early (come on, you know you have if you are still reading this lengthy review!). The bag's four spinning wheels are among its outstanding qualities. For flights, the telescoping handle has several different heights, so it can be lined up perfectly with my carry on suitcase, placed back to back, and both bags roll easily with one hand. They roll smoothly and fairly quietly on smooth surfaces, the weight is not on the hand and wrist as it is with two-wheeled bags, and having the handle upright enables moving the bag while holding another essential, Starbucks coffee (reusable carafe, of course!). Additionally, it features a strap on the back that can be used to hoist it onto the carry-handle on's so that it can sit on top of a hard-sided luggage without toppling over. So far, this mobile office has proven to be excellent. If there was an advertised way to replace the wheels and handle, I would feel more comfortable recommending this bag to the Samsonite staff. My purse is now heavier because the water bottle I carried in the tote bag is now in my purse; perhaps there is a way to add a water bottle holder without ruining the lines of the bag. A 20 oz. bottle (which is also reusable, of course!) fits inside the back compartment if I'm not carrying too many files, however I end up getting dehydrated because it is uncomfortable to kneel down while wearing a dress and open the bag every time I want to drink some water. Perhaps add elastic pocket on the rear of the backpack or a zip-out holder like the ones Targus attaches to laptop bags? This mobile office would be ideal if these flaws were fixed, even if the cost was slightly higher.

I can't express how wonderful I think this line from Samsonite is! Since getting them a year ago to replace my older luggage, I've traveled extensively with them throughout Brazil, Argentina, Singapore, Bangkok (at least once a month for the past two years), Ho Chi Minh City, all of Cambodia, and of course, throughout the United States.I've thrown them on and off buses, dragged them from train to train, stuffed them into and out of more taxis and shuttles than I can count, and dragged them about a mile and a half down the road in the rain (although they aren't waterproof, they are surprisingly water resistant at the seams and expansion fabric).Don't tell the airlines, but that's way too heavy for a carry-on to be, yet through it all the handles have held up and the wheels are still in wonderful form, despite the larger two constantly tipping the scales at 70 lbs and the carry-on frequently tipping the scales at close to 40 lbs.Despite the abuse the bags receive, they still look wonderful! There are some little scrapes here and there, and I frequently receive bags back with smashed corners, but they usually spring back into place without any problems, and the contents are always safe and secure.The handles still move in and out effortlessly and have a sturdy feel when locked into place. The locks are still in fine working order. The zippers all function flawlessly.I just have one major complaint about these bags, and adding additional handles would make them ideal.The carry-top on's handle is its only handle, making it difficult to carry up and down stairs. A side handle, as the other two bags have, would be excellent.While most buyers won't use them to the extent that I do, most will at some point want to put this bag onto a stand in the hotel or lift one up onto a shelf in the terminal bus. The largest bag in particular has a deceptive amount of storage space (I've had it loaded to 104 lbs.) and picking things up with two hands can be difficult when moving it up onto a rack or something of that nature.The fact that they have outlasted a variety of other, more costly bags I've owned, including other Samsonites, should not deter anyone from purchasing them, though.With my current travel pace, I anticipate that they will endure for at least a few more years. This bag might be the last one you ever need to buy if you're like my folks and only fly occasionally.EDIT 02/17/2017:Three entire sets of this baggage have already been purchased by me, two in charcoal for myself and one in purple for my girlfriend. The only problem I've ever had was when someone tried to get into one of them and tore through the zipper with a screwdriver or knife. As a result, one zipper clasp was completely missing and a few teeth on the zipper got quite badly bent. I can literally pack everything we own—aside from our camping gear and bikes—into those 9 bags. But while I was in Malaysia for a few months, I shipped it to one of their approved dealers in Singapore, and they were able to repair it without any problems.EDIT 01/11/2018:I tore the inside liner seam on one medium bag after two years and little about 100 flights. However, I don't believe that this was the product of poor craftsmanship; rather, I had simply stuffed some clothing and camera equipment into the top area and closed the zipper. The opposite side was nearly empty but not fully. I believe that eventually the gear's pressure on the fabric partition, without the support of gear on the other side, allowed for enough motion to cause the seam to fail. It's currently being fixed. Once I get it back, I'll add a picture.

So far, this luggage has performed well. With the exception of some external scuffs, nothing bad happened when we took it on a trip over the holidays. The wheels are still in good shape and slide smoothly. Of course, it spins, which is fantastic. Being a heavy packer, the fact that it is also so light was a bonus. Note that even though we purchased the highest size, we did not require the expansion. Among the other languages on the belt, the color green is distinctive. We got it! For an approaching international trip, we'll take into account another one that matches.

After a recent journey around Europe, I thought it was time to switch out my incredibly durable Eagle Creek two-wheeled luggage for something four-wheeled because my back isn't what it used to be. I spent a lot of money on my Eagle Creek baggage, which is still in excellent condition after several years, but this time I wanted something more stylish. It is a deep, rich brown, but not quite as dark as espresso, which normally seems to be virtually black. I bought the espresso hue.Right out of the box, I was thrilled with this bag. It's lightweight—lighter than my Eagle Creek, which at the time was a significant advance over other luggage. Since I usually go through my luggage when I'm waiting at an airport or hotel lobby, the huge pocket on the front of the bag opens up folder-style as it should. If it isn't already clear, it spins and moves like a dream. This suitcase has well-integrated hardware and a sophisticated appearance thanks to the deep color and leather accent. The interior is tasteful and appealing.This bag will be checked. Although I am not short (5'6"), I personally would not want to squeeze this into a cramped overhead bin in economy; also, it would have been too heavy to be allowed as a carry-on on my recent flight to London on New Zealand Air. For carry-on and quick travels, I have a smaller 16-inch spinner.I don't like to overpack, so for vacations lasting five to seven days—or longer if I have access to laundry—I'll use this bag.I'm not going to use the charging port. I can see how it would be helpful on overseas trips when you're unsure whether you'll be able to find an outlet big enough for your charger.
