Before making a purchase, I always read reviews, especially the unfavorable ones, and the thickness of the frame only somewhat startled me. Previously, the place had a thinner "filter" that was really just a steel frame and didn't filter or do much other than collect dust. The time had come to replace the filter, and this one is much superior. If I were to be specific, I would say that the quality is appropriate for the price per item. When I checked for alternative kinds of filters, the finer ones cost at least twice as much per unit. Choosing this kit was a compromise primarily because I only needed a fan cover. The fan's noise is louder, which is the only difference I can discern.I like the amount and quality overall, especially considering the price. I would repurchase, in part because I don't care if my home smells like food.

Washing was no longer sufficient to thoroughly clean this section after years of accumulating grease and dust. Thankfully, this replacement is inexpensive and an exact fit. After installing it, it is a perfect fit. I utilized a part finder website to ensure that this is the replacement for the original part in our vent hood. If yours no longer cleans and you'd like a new one, I would highly recommend this because it's a very simple replacement.

These were purchased to swap out the dingy old ones in my Jenn-Air cooktop. They fit well and are really sparkling silver (although the internet product description makes them look black)! Although I can't yet comment on how well they clean, I'll probably just replace them rather than try to degrease them. They ARE flexible, as some reviewers have noted; however, this does not present a problem because they are safely tucked away while working:)

Works perfectly. We were bored of some foods setting off the kitchen's smoke alarm. I'm a do-it-yourselfer, so I started planning to run ducting through the cabinet and then the ceiling and box the duct work in drywall as we already have plans to renovate the kitchen in the near future. Then I realized that our particular hood is designed to provide ventilation for the kitchen (growing up my parents always had a vent that ventilated to the outdoors). I made the decision to look for a filter, and sure enough, I discovered that they are easily accessible. Three of them were my order. I replaced the previous unsavory one, and the smoke alarm is no longer constantly going off, allowing my wife and I to burn and fried food without risking injury.

My mother, who was in dire need of a new hood filter, was the recipient of this purchase. This one arrived swiftly and was packaged beautifully, and the pricing was significantly lower than at any retailer or appliance store. I don't know much about filters, but this seems like a nice bargain for the price, and the quality is better than I expected. I gave it four stars altogether, but I would still buy this product again if I had to. Because of these factors, I give this product a total of five stars and endorse it.

Perfectly fits my old Jenn-Aire range hood. I have no issues with what other people have said about staples. No staples could be found anywhere, sadly. Not quite as durable as my old filters, but adequate. Happy to have located a replacement set.

This filter looks to be made of the same thin aluminum that was included with the range hood. The layers of loose wire mesh covering the frame provide the only filtering. This works just as well as the factory filter and is primarily used to prevent oil and humidity from getting into your range hood exhaust pipe. I had to spend some effort bending this back into shape after opening it, but it worked perfectly and was less expensive than visiting to the hardware store. Delivery was speedy but unkind. This is for a range hood that is completely ducted and vented to the outside. You need the other type of filter with built-in fabric and charcoal filtering if your range hood fan circulates air back into the home.
If you’re considering using a charcoal range hood filter, you may be wondering if they actually work. Here’s what you need to know. Charcoal range hood filters are designed to remove smoke, odors, and grease from the air. They work by trapping these particles in the pores of the charcoal, which prevents them from being released back into the air. While charcoal filters are effective at removing these contaminants from the air, they will eventually become saturated and will need to be replaced. Depending on how often you use your range hood, you may need
To clean a range hood filter with vinegar, remove the filter and soak it in a vinegar and water solution for 30 minutes. Then, scrub the filter with a brush to remove any dirt or grease.
Stove vent filters should be cleaned at least once a month to prevent them from becoming clogged with grease and dirt. To clean the filters, remove them from the vent and soak them in hot water for about 20 minutes. Then, use a brush to scrub away any remaining dirt and grease.
Hood filters can become greasy over time, making them difficult to clean. There are a few ways to degrease a hood filter, depending on the severity of the grease. For a light grease build-up, simply soak the filter in hot soapy water. This will loosen the grease and allow you to scrub it away. If the grease is more stubborn, you may need to use a degreaser or solvent. Be sure to follow the directions on the product, as some can be harsh and damage the filter if used incorrectly. Once the grease is
A charcoal filter will last anywhere from 1 to 6 months. The lifespan of your charcoal filter will depend on how often you use it and how well you maintain it. If you use your filter daily, you will need to replace it more often than if you only use it once a week. To prolong the life of your charcoal filter, be sure to clean it regularly with soap and water.
