That's not to suggest it wouldn't be damaged if it hit the wall at full speed, but it might be able to withstand a few knocks. But because of the superb control, it can halt instantly. The remote is nicely crafted overall and is quite bouncy and responsive.I have a lake across the street from my house, and this little boat is startlingly quick and sounds great. The children were here for the weekend; at the age of 5, they are too young to steer and maneuver the boat on their own, but they do so with assistance. Everything is just as it is described. save for the four double-A batteries for the remote control, this package has everything you need. awesome battery alert and control. You can also see the boat battery voltage on the controller so you'll know what to expect. We've been able to play for well over 15 minutes between charges. Everything also depends on how much throttle you apply; this RC boat has two batteries. One is located inside the boat, while a second is tucked away in the Styrofoam packaging. It comes with a display stand of its own, an extra prop blade, and an installation nut. For the shaft of the propeller, there is a tiny tube of axle grease.I should point you that until the boat is in water when the battery is first installed, neither power nor control will be available to the watercraft. To achieve a quick activation movement out of the water, you can also lick or wet the tip of your finger and touch the top of the little metal prong that protrudes from the top right back side of the boat. However, take care not to get your fingers near the propeller blade! I adore this safety feature.Another feature I adore is the ability to use the left and right joysticks to flip the boat back over if it capsized and didn't flip over on its own.
