The directions are useful but first difficult to understand, which makes startup challenging. I can say that the sim has been a tremendous benefit to my home once you've registered it at speedtalk, installed it, and done all the other nonsense. After suddenly losing two cats, my cat roams, and I'm constantly concerned for him. The GPS tracker comes with accessories to attach it to the cat's collar and is lightweight and tiny enough for a cat. Given that I located him using it a few days ago, the tracking is pretty darn accurate. The battery life is adequate, but I've discovered that the docking port has problems, requiring me to put something substantial against the tracker to hold it down long enough for charging. I had to think for a moment to understand what on and off meant on the tracker. There are a few issues, but overall, this is a wonderful tracker for the money!

Before I delve into how fantastic Findster is, let me start by saying that I have purchased (and returned) *every* GPS/dog tracker that exists. All of them. None of them have lived up to the expectations, been worth the upfront cost ( monthly data tracking costs), or truly had a battery life that made me feel like it would work with my lifestyle.Findster Duo arrived in a lovely packaging with clear/easy directions. I pulled both devices (device #1 for the pet; device #2 for the guardian/owner) out of the packaging and charged them while downloading the Findster software. After the software downloaded, I linked the two devices via Bluetooth to my iPhone/app and we were set to go on our first expedition! My pups and I reside on a farm and they regularly go on jaunts/rambles/excursions hunting deer, etc. I was particularly eager to see where exactly they travel and how far away they go. Findster purportedly works up to three miles in open places and up to half a mile in denser (more urban) environments. So far, my dogs have been up to two miles away and the Findster devices have maintained clear, easy communication with my smartphone, so I know precisely where my dogs are and where I can go check for them if needed.The app is extremely easy to use and I love that it tells me how much activity my pups have done in addition to exactly where they are. The gadgets (the one I carry the ones my pups wear) are very lightweight and do not seem affected by water or mud. There is also a leader board so you can see how much exercise other Findster-wearing dogs are receiving, which is a fun/community-building idea.My primary fear was the battery life, but thus far, the devices have kept charged as long as I have needed them— I have used them for 9-10 hours with no trouble (with significant battery power leftover) and both devices charge with lightning speed. The Marco Polo is great! best acquisition ever! I reside in a rural area. 100s of acres of corn, tree lines, and soy bean fields surround the 5 acres with a house and outbuildings. With regard to tracking gadgets, satellite internet is my sole available choice. I've tried a lot! The best is Marco Polo. For the safety of my dogs, I'm willing to invest hundreds of dollars. However, Marco Polo is inexpensive (shh, don't tell the corporation!) and simple to use. A small learning curve exists. essentially determining what might be nearby that could cause radio waves to reflect. You can find the right way by moving a short distance. Additionally, practice is required to determine the distance's actual length. Mine is on all the time to alert me if he wanders too far (which has multiple settings to personalize too far) I have a dog whistle linked to the lanyard on the tracker that I use when the monitor alert sounds. I give him a few whiffs of the whistle. He comes home to delicious snacks after I put it on tracker mode to make sure he is headed in my direction. Never a critic! He has a high prey drive like a terrier. I can use the Marco Polo to keep track of his direction and distance; it can take a few seconds or up to ten minutes. Rarely have I needed to go out for him. I've only ever had to ride my four-wheeler out to get him. He was following a deer. refused to stop. We were a mile or so from our house. I followed Marco Polo all the while. Just that day was worth a hundred Marco Polos! Thankfully, I only required one! Incredible battery power! Once a month, I charge the receiver's collar. The tracker is plugged in, primarily in my kitchen. Most days, I take it outside with me. It has been known to spend the entire weekend outside with barely any battery use. I no longer monitor the battery meter on it. You don't have to because it is always prepared. The Marco Polo has been mine for a year. My dog enjoys rolling around in anything. He's pretty hard on his collars. The Marco polo collar holster has been really sturdy, but I did just recently updated it. You can get it alone on the website for I guess 19 bucks. My dog has gotten his collar receiver very wet alot, but never actually submerged. He likes running through water and wet grass. But he no interest in swimming. I hope I've been helpful. I was at loss trying to monitor and keep my dog at bay. I wanted him to have some freedom without me having to worry. Marco Polo gave me that! I 100% recommend it!

If it gives me piece of mind when my four-legged pal wanders off, $8 is a tiny thing to pay. especially if I manage to catch him. Keep in mind that Whistle uses cellular service, which is independent of the cellular operator you use for your phone, thus it functions regardless of which business provides your cell service. Various dogs and multiple "owners," such as other family members or friends, are permitted with one $8 subscription.Overall, this is a fantastic product. Nothing better than that is possible. Up until month thirteen of use, when it abruptly ceased working. After around 6 months, I attempted to replace the battery, but nothing happened. I've contacted the business to express my unhappiness and am awaiting their response regarding a replacement unit. Let's see if Dott is a good business and stands behind its offering.
