I was pleased right away because this shelf arrived in excellent packaging and I could immediately see that there were no flaws or scratches. The material is of high quality and the device has a lovely espresso color, making it appear more expensive than it actually was. It took my mother and I about 20 minutes to put it together, and it is really simple. The boards would have been challenging to align to the sides of the unit without someone else holding it while I screwed them in with the Allen wrench, so it probably would have taken a little longer if she hadn't been there to assist. The shelves themselves do have a side that, to me, was definitely the bottom because it is not as smooth as the top side, and this is something I want to mention. That isn't mentioned in the instructions, which I didn't realize until after I'd installed the first shelf and ran my hand over it. We only had that one problem, but we're delighted we caught it straight away!

Very attractive shelf with good workmanship. It won't topple over easily and appears to be able to support a fair amount of weight, though I can't yet vouch for it because I've just placed a few small objects on it.Although not difficult, it isn't the simplest to put together. I suggest having a second person there to keep the pieces in place so you don't experience repeated falls down like I did.Additionally, two of the bolts that hold the shelves to the frame were improperly inserted into the shelf holes. They merely spin, appearing to be naked. The pre-drilled holes in the shelf are likely the issue because the bolts themselves appeared fine and weren't stripped. As all of the other bolts went in firmly and kept the problematic ones securely in place, this isn't a big worry in my case because it prevents any structural problems or shelf tipping. If you order this shelf, I advise checking the bolts as soon as you open the box because if more than two were flawed there would likely be problems with the shelves staying in place.A great display shelf all around. The very tiny faults mentioned above won't stop me from getting another.

**UPDATE: SONGMICS contacted me after I published my review. They supplied numerous remedies to the problems I had with the goods in addition to their apology for the problems and inconvenience. I had the option to select the course of action that suited me the most. I am very happy with the promptness and attentiveness of the SONGMICS customer care, and I would absolutely suggest buying this product knowing that they are more than prepared to assist their clients if there are any issues with the product!————————————————Overall, the shelf has a lovely appearance. The aged wood and dark metal make excellent partners and go nicely with the other pieces of furniture and accessories we bought. Unfortunately, even with my husband and I working together, there were a number of problems that made assembling this shelf quite challenging. First, there were only one (G) leg and three (F) legs on the shelf (supposed to be two and two). Fortunately, these pieces are pretty similar, so I don't think it much affected assembly. Then, when the top, arched sections (H) were attempted to be attached to the legs, they did not fit because the metal inserts on top of the legs were too wide and the angle of the legs did not match the angle of the arches. The tops of the legs had to be slightly narrowed with a hammer, and the legs had to be joined to the arches with a lot of force. Finally, at least one of the holes in two of the top shelves did not correspond to the locations of the screws. No matter how hard we tried or how much muscle we used, the holes would not line up. We used a drill to make new holes in the shelves rather than having numerous holes with no screws. You won't be dissatisfied with this shelf's functioning or appearance if you decide to buy it, but assembly will take some time and effort, so plan accordingly.

I purchased this shelf as a gift for my girlfriend's birthday. These shelves are good, durable, and a wonderful size when fully assembled (not too huge, but not too small). The high-quality pieces were evident when we opened it to construct it, but the back-support/cross-bars (all four of them) were missing. I put the shelf together without these components and it appears sturdy, however after contacting the vendor, they returned the following business day and requested more information. They told me they couldn't send me replacement parts but could give me a coupon code for 99% off a new one after another day or so of giving them a picture and an even more thorough description of the problem. All right, I only needed the four tiny bars, but I guess it's not so horrible to spend $0.47 on a brand-new one. I appreciate HOMFA USA's help and rapid response in resolving my issue. A fantastic shelf despite the mismatched parts!
