Before placing my order, I studied reviews and double-checked the dimensions. This evaluation was written shortly after the PURCHASE; installation will take place in a few months.I have all the terminations needed for this Pex installation, and I verified that they fit. A Crimp Connection was the subject of a review, but I went with a Clamp Connection and discovered that all connections would fit well.Both the product's quality and value seem to be outstanding. A reliable oxygen barrier is provided by aluminum Pex tubing covered in plastic on the inside and outside. (A layer of aluminum in Pex is useful in some situations but not all. Additionally, it necessitates more attention before and during installation. Finally, the effects of accidental freezing of Pex with merely a plastic layer versus Pex with an aluminum layer will vary; pick carefully.)I'm glad to order this Pex in White because I just installed a new HVAC system. Leaks should be less likely with a continuous line from the manifold source to the manifold termination.Now, there are three reasons I opted for a Clamp connection:1. In order to avoid the Pex from kinking, I shall clamp as one of the last installation procedures. A Crimp tool would not fit around the objects currently blocking the path because this phase will come late in the installation process.2. If I were to select Crimp, I would want to confirm that the Crimp Wrench and Crimp Ferrule are compatible. Can I still trust the crimp that results?3. Unless you pay even more money to buy a superior Crimp Wrench with interchangeable heads, just one Clamp Wrench will work for Pex fittings of various sizes. Crimp Wrenches are size specific.I also studied Clamp Ferrules reviews and discovered that there are subpar items on the market, so take your time and find a reputable manufacturer.After all of this, I'll say that I can recognize a Crimp fit's benefit. By definition, a fitting with a very good Crimp Connection has the best chance of avoiding turbulence. With equal pressure applied around the circle, the fitting is mated to the connector. For this particular brand of Pex, I am unable to comment on past fit or Crimp fit, but I can tell that I am happy with my purchase. Clamp fittings are regarded as excellent connectors (perhaps on par with Crimp), and their stainless steel design is advantageous in settings with high levels of corrosion.

Backstory: After additional inspection, I found a slab leak on my hot water line under my bathroom, and I also had a cold water leak under my doorway. We have hard water in Ventura County, California, and my tract house was built cheaply. Copper was used in the slab foundation when it was constructed 30 years ago. The extremely thin plastic wrapping they used to separate the copper from the concrete deteriorated when the pipes expanded and contracted with changes in temperature. This caused internal copper corrosion due to the high concentration of minerals in our hot water as well as external corrosion of the copper (particularly in the hot water line). I was aware of this issue when I purchased the home because I had been a resident of the area for some time. Many neighbors experienced related problems and spent a lot of money on repairs or repiping.My background: I enjoy doing almost every kind of DIY project. appliances, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning, etc. I've patched and fixed a variety of plumbing materials, including copper, galvanized steel, ABS, and PVC. I had never used PEX. What I did: Before making the purchase, I carefully considered all of my options. I debated hiring a plumber, performing the task myself, utilizing copper, and switching to PEX. In order to quickly modify my bathrooms in the future without turning off the water supply to the entire house, I chose PEX and planned to install a manifold system. My home is a 1550 square foot, one-story home with two complete baths. I choose to swap out the 1 "Run a copper wire from the shut-off valve outside into the garage and then to the manifold site next to the water heater. I used a "T" to split the 1" copper in half, then I reduced it to 3/4" copper for the cold-water side of the manifold and the water heater supply. I used 3/4 "For some flexibility, feed SharkBite PEX stubs into the manifold. I ran 1/2 "To each fixture, PEX. For hot and cold, I used red and blue PEX, respectively. I planned to use fewer fittings and connections in the system, but I only used half of what I needed "I didn't like the concept of the PEX poking out of the walls, so it was lead to each fixture by copper stub-outs with new compression fitting valves. Because the crimper is a little smaller and can fit in tiny locations, I utilized stainless cinch-ring clips. I chose the 100' rolls of PEX so that I could have a direct line to each fixture without having to pass through any unions.The Review: PEX is significantly better than copper, but it is still very hard and difficult to uncoil despite its flexibility. I only needed to make a little amount of drywall cuts to thread it through the headers and down the walls. To safeguard the bends, I used guides at a 90-degree angle. It was simple to use the cinch rings at the connection sites. I worked on the project for 53 hours over the course of 4 days (drywall repair included). It would have gone more quickly if I hadn't had to cut a hole in my roof to get to a header above the kitchen sink.Conclusion: I am incredibly happy with this product and how simple the installation was. My entire house was re-piped by myself in a few days for less than $1000. I spent $300 on the copper component alone, making the PEX cost $700.

Excellent, as anticipated. Since the tube is rigid, several people have reported having trouble handling the uncoiling process. I wouldn't attempt to uncoil this, say, in a loft. I took it out into my backyard and began the uncoiling process by drawing parts across my legs and pressing against the curved part of the tubing. I did this for about a 2-foot chunk at a time, bending it against itself as I pulled. Then, I repeated the process for another 2-foot stretch. I was able to straighten out for around 100 feet and uncoil. Although not precisely straight, the tubing was sufficiently straight to allow me to draw up into my attic space without having to worry with it uncoiling like a large spring. This approach is simple; no special devices or techniques are required. Some of the online gadgets I came across would require more time to assemble than it did for me to unwind and straighten. In less than an hour, maybe a half-hour if you're pressed for time, I had two 100-foot coils straightened enough to handle and pull. No, it wasn't completely straight, but it was long and straight enough for one man to squeeze through. The tubing must be purchased in straight portions, just like copper tubing, if you want it to be perfectly straight.

I purchased this 4-pack of 3/4" dia. X 30" long pipes with the intention of using them to create clamps for my woodworking projects. It is threaded on both ends. I presume that at some time during transit, the pipes were dropped and one of the pipe threads was somewhat damaged. The threads were now covered with plastic caps at the thread ends to preserve them. Consider adding an additional layer of security to the threaded ends in the future. Yet another thing Inside the pipes, there were jagged pieces of metal left behind from the threading operation. Before delivery, this ought to have undergone a complete cleaning. They are ready to go aside from it.
