It's been wonderful even though I've only had it a short while while on vacation. It comes in a tiny bag that hardly takes up any room and fits in the bottom of my roll-aboard. When opened up, it has everything I need for a day at the beach or exploring a new city, including my iPad, towel, sunglasses, a hat, and more. For a month-long journey we were taking to Australia and New Zealand, I purchased this daypack. I had never been on a journey like that before, so I wasn't sure what I required exactly, but I was aware of my limitations in terms of height and weight. It is challenging to prepare for a trip that includes a variety of activities, such as trekking in tropical rain forests, climbing glaciers, going out to dinner, and reconnecting with friends after a 30-year absence. I already had my carry-on allowance, so I wasn't seeking for another one, but I was fairly certain that a day pack would be useful. So all I knew beforehand was that it needed to be lightweight and compact. I got it and the Outlander even though the reviews weren't particularly clear on whether this pack was the right one for me. To compare, try the Red Outlander Packable Handy Lightweight Travel Backpack Daypack from a different Amazon seller. They were both nicely built and identical, but this one's material feels a little more durable because it is thicker, and I simply preferred it. Therefore, I donated the Outlander to my husband and retained the Hikpro for myself (LOL). This tiny pack ended up being AMAZING! Throughout the vacation, I used it virtually every day. I use a large Canon SLR camera, so it weights four or more pounds. Sometimes it housed just my purse and my camera, but other times it also held a coat, a change of clothes, and a pair of running or reef shoes. Sometimes it could hold enough food for several days. Others could order takeout. It contained several mementos for people who weren't able to travel at the end of the trip. I used it for hiking, biking, riding trains, and riding gondolas. It traveled up mountains and to the ocean. It braved cold, snow, wind, and rain. Also, perspiration I used the washing machine to wash it twice, but I didn't use the dryer. It turned out perfectly and over night dried. No of the load, you may make it comfortable while wearing it by adjusting the straps; just make sure to pack the flat items adjacent to your back. Compared to the Outlander, the straps are thicker and more padded, which was important to me. However, my spouse didn't mind the Outlander's straps. He didn't use the Outlander, though, nearly as frequently as I utilized the Hikpro, I noted. The exterior pockets frequently contained an umbrella and my water bottle. The pack was shoved back into its tiny pocket and placed in my bag as we moved to a new location every couple of days. That only takes a minute to complete. One of those occasions where I received exactly what I needed despite not knowing what I wanted. I'm grateful.

We agreed that it would be a good idea for both of us to have a sizable rucksack to utilize as our in-flight personal item as we prepared for our international vacation. Prior to my vacation last month, I ordered three nylon backpacks from Amazon to test out different sizes and brands. Some will be given back.I currently use the 22L Outlander backpack in purple almost every day as my handbag because it felt the greatest. Standard backpacks are all too long for me because I am 5'4" and a little short in the waist. This one is quite cozy and the right length. My 12- or 16-ounce stainless steel water bottle or my sunglasses fit easily in the side pockets. Last month, I had a two-week trip to Europe, using this pack as both my daypack and purse while we took buses and trains. The zippers and seams have no fraying, thus it appears to be very nicely built. It had everything I typically keep in my "purse," plus an extra shirt, socks, munchies, a pill organizer, and space for a few trinkets. I put a good amount of weight on it, but the straps were still comfy.The similar backpacks from the other company did not fit me as well, and one of them had material that was obnoxiously noisy (I think that was the MCIRCO 20L). Since they both fit similarly and shared the same style and print on the cloth, it appeared that the Outlander (22L purple) and Hexin (33L purple) were produced by the same business. I'm keeping both of them, then! I would nestle the smaller pack within the bigger one when I needed to carry more. I carried on the larger one on my flights and used the smaller one as my handbag. Although both sizes neatly fold back into a small bag, I don't think I'll ever store them. Since they are so little and light, they hardly take up any room. To have an extra shopping bag with me, I did fold the larger pack a few times and carry it inside the smaller one, but after a while, I merely rolled the extra pack and put it in the bottom of the pack that was in use.For my spouse to carry, I also purchased an Outlander (33L) in Black, but he didn't like the dark purple color. If I had asked him to carry a pink or red one, he might have objected, but the purple one is quite understated. The two larger packs were useful for organizing our clothing when traveling. One day, we even overpacked both 33L backpacks with items we shouldn't have brought with us and strolled to the Amsterdam Post Office to ship a box full of our "things" (okay, we'll just call it stuff, to be kind here). These bundles are quite useful. At the post office, I had the impression that sending soiled garments home was a typical occurrence. Doh.Although this nylon pack is somewhat thin, it is incredibly sturdy and capacious. I wholeheartedly suggest the Outlander for the price (or the Hexin). Purchase one of each size. Keep them both, or lend one to a pal! There is no way to misjudge this product.Note that nothing was given to me for free. I paid money for this item. I like this item and suggest it. It holds two full Nalgene bottles in the side pockets, and I simply clip the water bottles onto the side clips through the loops on the lids to solve the water bottle falling out problem people talked about. They offered to repair the bag or give me a refund and informed me of the lifetime warranty that comes with the bag. However, if you're looking for a lighter weight, lighter duty bag, this could be a decent mid-range pricing alternative. I chose to obtain a refund since I still would prefer a higher quality bag rather than having to keep replacing this one. ****I bought this backpack for a vacation to Mexico because I wanted something that would offer some rain protection in case we encountered tropical storms, which we did. Overall, it was good, but I probably wouldn't buy it again.PROS: * The front lower zipper compartment has a tiny separator inside and an additional zipper pocket, which is really helpful and keeps things tidy. This was both really safe and useful. We could fit a few snack bars and our sunglasses in the upper front zipper pocket without worrying about damage to them. We could easily accommodate extra-large liter water bottles in the side mesh pockets because they were a good size. Two extra divisions in the main pouch—one against the front and one against the back—were also quite useful.The straps were comfy and firm, and the chest strap was wonderful when the bag was heavy. The "water resistant" fabric did assist keep the contents dry-ish when it rained or on a boat. It folds up to a reasonably compact size and simply zips up into itself for easy packing.CONS - The fabric was too thin, and by the conclusion of the trip—even though it lasted a month—it had ripped in several places. The fabric's "water resistance" was actually more of a treatment, so after extensive use, friction, heat, and, you guessed it, water, the treatment material started to peel off all over the bag. Since the fabric's edges weren't burned or completed in any manner where the zipper was put on, strings were continuously coming undone and tangled in the zipper. Almost every day, I would tear off large balls of fluffy thread that had frayed edges. The upper outside front pocket's zipper cover would REPEATEDLY get trapped. Given the large number of customer reviews citing this issue, the manufacturer appears to have taken action, although their fix involved making the zipper cover flat larger. That merely aggravates and makes the issue worse. To be honest, using a WATER RESISTANT ZIPPER like they use on the bottom front pocket instead of a zipper cover at all would have been preferable. It's unfortunate that this bag only actually lasted for this one trip. I regret not investing a little bit more money in a better backpack.

These bags are excellent! For our family to utilize at Disneyland, we got 5 of these bags in a variety of hues, including teal, pink, purple, orange, and grey. I adored the wide range of colors because it allowed us to all choose our favorite shades, made the experience more individualized, and allowed us to identify each other's bags with ease. I used this as my carry-on on the plane and on my cruise to go to the beach, the pool, and other locations.Positives: It is quite lightweight and can hold a lot of items.I only folded it when I got home, and it was quite simple to do do. It folds up into a fairly little square, though I have bags that fold even smaller (not backpacks, though!) aesthetically, and it has a small neon yellow spot on it so it's easy to distinguish. has a chest-clip, which is incredibly convenient if you're carrying a lot of weight. I never felt like I was carrying too much weight and I never worried that the cloth or stitching would break under the strain. (Admittedly, it wasn't crammed or unduly heavy, but I'm sure I could have fit a lot more in there.)The two side pockets with mesh were great for holding sunscreen or water bottles for my kids. As long as the bag isn't rubbing against your skin, wearing it is a surprisingly comfortable experience. The straps can be adjusted in length and provide some cushioning. Without the mesh or netting, it would be fairly comfortable with the chest clip.Cons: My shoulders were extremely irritated by the "netting" inside the shoulder straps. I had bare shoulders because I was on a cruise, and it was quite unpleasant. It was much easier on aircraft journeys when I was wearing at least a t-shirt, but even then it irritated me.~ A couple additional pockets would be great. There was a space in the large compartment where I slid three tables of varying sizes (one 10", one 8" and one 7" - all Samsung). On the other side of that, there were two tiny slip-slots, but they didn't retain much. There was a netted zip pocket, a place to put a phone or tablet behind it, and more space in front of the netted pocket in the smaller compartment. (Take note that as it opens mostly, items could easily tumble out.)Additionally, there was a little exterior zip pouch at the top that was useful for holding our passports and identification cards while we walked through security. It was painful for my shoulders to get it on and off, so I had to continually asking my husband to get items out of it. A few more zip pockets, perhaps on the interior of the large compartment area, would have been excellent.It depends on what you're using it for and how you're dressed when using it, but overall, it's a decent, robust bag for being so lightweight (it is floppy so when I say "sturdy" I mean well-constructed). My skin is not sensitive, therefore that is not the issue. This will probably function well if you're wearing a thick sweater and has several nice features. In order to have shoulder pads without the netting or mesh on the inside, I could seek for a little larger bag if I were to get one comparable to it.

I bought this bag to use as my daily bag or purse. So let me begin by noting that this bag actually holds more than you would imagine from its appearance. Given that the majority of reviewers use this as a diaper bag, I was a little shocked when it arrived that it wasn't as big as I had anticipated. But after I started putting my belongings in it, I discovered that I could fit a lot more in it than a typical purse or even the Meru sling bag. I keep my kindle, glass case, 8 oz. bottle of lotion, keys, and phone charger in the section with the biggest capacity (and sometimes a journal). I keep travel tissues, a little pencil case for my personal care items and first aid supplies, and a 2 oz container of an on-the-go stain remover on the opposite side, in the marginally smaller compartment. I keep my iPhone 6, checkbook, tiny coin purse/wallet, two pens, and my iPhone 6 in the bag's bottom compartment on the front. I keep a 1 oz bottle of hand sanitizer, earbuds, a pocket knife, and lip balm in the top front section. Don't be deceived by the size. It can support a lot without making your shoulder uncomfortable. I don't think I'll ever be able to carry a crossbody or hobo bag again. Even so, I still have a ton of room. All of the sections keep things tidy and make them simple to locate. I'm not sure if 40l is enough for backpacking, but I know it's not too much. I've gone on backpacking trips with 40l packs and been fine. I think it really depends on the length of your trip and how much you need to bring with you. If you're planning on going for a week or more, you might want to consider a larger pack. But if you're only going for a weekend, 40l should be plenty of space.
