It's a common misconception that fish can't see wire leaders. While it's true that fish have poorer eyesight than humans, they can still see quite well underwater. In fact, many fish have excellent vision, especially when it comes to spotting predators or prey. So, can fish see wire leaders? Yes, they can. However, because wire leaders are usually clear or translucent, they can be difficult for fish to see. This is why it's often advisable to use fluorocarbon leaders, which are nearly invisible underwater.
There's no definitive answer to this question as it largely depends on personal preference. Some anglers feel that using a leader results in a more natural presentation, while others believe that it isn't necessary. Ultimately, it's up to the angler to experiment and see what works best for them.
No, swivels do not scare fish. In fact, they can be helpful in keeping your line from getting tangled.

Mono is mono is a common misconception or lie. I use this line up to 20 pounds, and it's the best mono there is. It is, in my opinion, superior to expensive Japanese brands like Jinkai, which I have also tested. Although pricey, using it at a mainline rather than a backup is the best course of action. Purchase large spools; you will use them and the price will decrease.

This high-quality product meets my need for thick stainless steel wire for lure creation and a few home tasks. It is of high quality and free of the rust stains that occasionally appear on less expensive stainless steel. It is brown, which is advantageous if you want to avoid flash. If you don't require silver, look elsewhere; else, this product is worth every penny.

Stainless Steel Duo Lock Snaps - 6 Ball Stainless Steel Bead Chain Swivel

I wondered why I shouldn't just buy everything I would need to create my own trolling bumpers. They produce excellent products including two duo locks and a bead chain. For less than $8, how about 3 in a pack? and no shipping costs? It seems obvious to me. Someone stated that it should be lengthier. From 12 inches to 3 feet, these craftsmen can construct them. That takes care of all I need. I advise him to pick up fishing.

Great all-around leader wire for Toothy Fish
Specially Selected Grade of Nylon Makes Wire Tough Yet Flexible
7 Strands of Stainless Steel Wire With Nylon Coating
Tie or Use American Fishing Wire Crimp Sleeve size 2

This wire works really well when twisting and then melting the coating to prevent it from unwinding, however I did not find any documentation that said you could melt the coating after twisting this leader wire like you can with twist weld.I've only recently begun using this wire. I had previously used twist weld. The Surflon's coating is excellent; it is a little bit thicker but more significantly, it reacts better to heat, does not overcook quickly and get hard like twist weld does, and as a result, smells lot better and less like burnt plastic. When you need to choose a lot of leaders, this is important.I'm switching over to AFW Surflon from twist weld. I adore the 1000 feet I purchased. I finish it by tightly twisting it and melting the coating instead of using crimp sleeves, and it works beautifully. I twist it with a cordless drill with a hook while holding the other end with locking pliers. It takes some practice to get it properly and avoid getting it too tight, but this way I can get it twisted extremely tightly. Once you've made a couple to play with, you'll be able to gauge how tightly to twist, and after that, it will be simple.

These are the only leaders I ever use from Rio, and they manufacture fantastic stuff. They are best suited for smaller dry flies because of their short memory and 9 ft, 6X size. When the USPS misplaced my initial order of these, I ordered them from Ed's Fly Shop, and Ed quickly sent out a replacement order at no additional expense. Excellent product, even better customer support.

I used to purchase my steal leaders from Sportsman Warehouse, but when I saw these, I decided to take a chance because I had doubts about their quality. However, now that I have them, I can see that they are indeed authentic and will handle the weight that they are supposed to. landed a five-foot shark, and the 60-pound bat ray stood up far better than any I had previously used. I connected this entire spool of 60 lb. fc. leader material with a fg knot to 1000 lb. finns hollow core braid on a tyrnos 50 lrs, then snelled directly to a mustad demon 3 lb. circle hook. No, you don't need a leader with 10 lb braid. You can use a lighter leader, like 6 lb braid, and still catch plenty of fish.
There are many factors to consider when choosing a leader line. The type of fishing you are doing, the fish you are targeting, and the conditions you are fishing in all play a role in what type of leader line you should use. Monofilament, fluorocarbon, and braided line all have their own strengths and weaknesses. Monofilament is cheap and easy to find, but it stretches more than the other types of line and is not as strong. Fluorocarbon is more expensive, but it is much less visible in the water and sinks, making
A fishing leader is a length of fishing line that connects the lure or bait to the main fishing line. The length of the leader depends on the type of fish you are trying to catch. For example, if you are fishing for smaller fish, you would use a shorter leader. If you are fishing for larger fish, you would use a longer leader.
The answer to this question depends on the type of fish you are targeting and the size of the lure or bait you are using. For example, if you are targeting smaller fish with a smaller lure, you will need a shorter wire leader. If you are targeting larger fish with a larger lure, you will need a longer wire leader. There are also different types of wire leaders, so be sure to select the one that is best suited for the type of fishing you are doing.
This is a difficult question to answer. Some anglers believe that you need a lot of leader for lures, while others believe that you don't need much at all. It really depends on the situation and what type of fish you're hoping to catch. In general, though, it's a good idea to have a few different lengths of leader on hand, so that you can adjust as needed.
10lb braided fishing line is very strong. It is made of many strands of thin, strong material that are braided together. This makes it resistant to breaking and fraying. It is also very abrasion-resistant, meaning it can withstand being rubbed against rocks or other objects without breaking.
