My astigmatism is -3.5 in one eye and -3 in the other. I received a general -3.0 for both eyes. What a game-changer it is to see clearly underwater without squinting. The product was excellent, and the pricing was fair.However...Before using these new masks, there is one thing you must do: the mask must be "prepped." You won't be pleased with gloomy or foggy views of the sea life because the interior glass will fog up...There are a few videos online that demonstrate how to prevent the interior glass from "defogging." The conventional method involves coating the interior of the lens with inexpensive "white" toothpaste, possibly rinsing it off a few times, repeating if necessary, etc.The burn process is another option.To significantly minimize or completely eliminate defogging, the silicone coating that is applied to the interior of the glass during manufacture must be removed. There are videos online that demonstrate how to accomplish it. Although there may seem to be some risk, there isn't actually any as long as you don't burn or harm the silicone that surrounds the glass. This mask's lens is made of tempered glass.The supplier "recommended" me in a letter not to use the burn approach, although the videos appeared to show that it was the fastest and most effective way to remove the silicone. Voila! a Bic lighter Several flame passes leaving brown or black residue; wipe the lenses with a paper towel; allow them to cool; and give them a thorough rinsing.Perfect!Just before you enter the water, I did add the baby shampoo/water mixture to a little mister (mine is around 70% water 30% shampoo). I've had 45 minutes of clear, crisp, sharp, fog-free underwater viewing after only a few spritzes and a fast washing (don't be too thorough; you need to leave some residue on the lens).The toothpaste trick, I suppose, also works okay, but the burn trick was just so simple. Once more, you may find videos online that will guide you through the procedure. 15 to 20 minute project, perhaps.The mask is quite comfortable on my face. Although I haven't descended too far, there is barely any water coming in. I couldn't be happier to be heading out on a snorkeling excursion in the Western Caribbean!

I bought the blue Cressi mask and snorkel set with black rims for a recent trip to Belize. It turns out that the snorkel I bought for my husband is actually a smaller child size, which was perfect for me because I have a small mouth that sometimes gets cut up by ordinary snorkels, and I often have trouble finding masks that fit my narrow face effectively. The mouthpiece, which is made of soft rubber, felt cozy. I didn't experience the profound sensations I usually get with snorkel masks, and the mask fit perfectly. Excellent undersea view. For the first time ever, I did not breathe in any water, and I had no trouble at all keeping the mask on and keeping my face down. That was quite great for a girl who normally dislikes swimming and the water! I did heed the advice to clean the glass with white paste toothpaste before using it, and our snorkeling instructors cleaned it with dish soap that contained lemon. Absolutely no fogging up! Cressi is a reputable brand, say snorkeling guides. If I need snorkeling gear again, I'll get this brand! Although I'm not attractive in the picture, when was a selfie taken while wearing snorkeling gear ever attractive?

I bought my kid a surprise gift of this mask before he left for his trip. He was ecstatic because he had been wanting one for a while. Since it was chilly outside, we took it and went to the closest pool to give it a try. I purchased a large, which was ideal for his face but too huge for mine. The first surprise was that even though it was too big, I could still use it because it fits your face so nicely and can be modified to fit. Second shock: when it says "no fog," it really means "no fog"! The lens never fogged, although being used for a very long time. When diving underwater with it, we discovered that we shouldn't descend straight down since the water-shutoff ball would float and you'll pick up some water inside on the way back up. A third surprise that drains you! When you stand up, the mask's one-way water valves will allow it to drain any water you may have picked up. The fourth surprise is how comfortable it is around the face; it doesn't pinch or create pressure marks. You stop even noticing that you are wearing it.This mask is among the nicest things I've purchased in a long time, and the price was excellent. I've purchased a variety of eyewear for my grandchildren, from expensive to budget-friendly. Additionally, some googles typically shatter more quickly than others due to the small clasp on the side of the lenses. Hence, try Speedos. They appear robust, and the youth size appears ideal for children aged 5 to 10. Heavy sturdy straps have indeed broken when being pulled on by other people. Additionally, the side clasp or strap lock appears to be well-made. The actual goggles are well-made. Nice, clear lenses that don't appear to be going out! Yes, we have used Google plenty of times. Since I didn't want to rent the gear, I chose to use this mask for my snorkeling trip instead. It worked flawlessly. I was amazed at how well it worked because I had never used a mask like this before; typically, I use a mask and snorkel separately. Me and another person had this mask when we were snorkeling as a group. To ensure you get the right size, I advise purchasing this before any excursions. I had no problems, but the other person should have purchased a smaller size because they ordered a larger size for their head. A few times, they got water in their mask, and they had to fiddle with it more to get it to seal completely. I was able to snorkel for the entire time without becoming out of breath because my mask fit snugly and perfectly. Everyone else on the vacation had heard good things about this mask, and I even let a couple people use it while I was swimming. They all thought it was great and decided to get one for their subsequent snorkeling trip.Simply snap the mask and snorkel together after they have been shipped separately.I strongly advise utilizing the bag that holds all of the components' components to store your mask at all times. I was surprised to discover that for the modest cost, this mask is actually quite good. To say that I spend a lot of time in the water is an understatement. I freedive when I'm not working and I scuba dive for fun. I already own a number of very costly freedive masks, but I wanted one with a gopro mount, so I added this one. The lenses look good, however you will need to burn off the silicone on the interior of the lens since else it will fog up a lot. The silicone is really soft and suits my face perfectly (use a lighter and watch youtube vids). For deep freediving, it is not a low volume mask, but it works well for drops of 50 feet. The strap's connection to the mask is a little weak, and I'm not sure how robust the gopro mount is, are the only drawbacks. I really enjoy this mask and will tell my friends about it.
