Recently, NYC began recycling organics, and they suggested a particular brand of compostable bag that was conveniently available at my neighborhood grocery store. I purchased a package of 25 bags, but I wasn't instantly impressed. When I removed the bag from the tiny bin, the organics would stream out since they had crumbled to the point that there was a huge hole on the side.I found the Primode bag and decided to give it a try because I was dissatisfied with them. These bags last for three to four days, and so far none of the bags have split apart when I take them out of the trash. The Primode bag's ability to fully open into a rectangle when opened is another fantastic feature. As suggested by other reviews, I put a quarter of a paper towel at the bottom to absorb some of the condensation. The "other" bag I originally purchased has a bottom that is sealed throughout and folded in half lengthwise, creating a pinch when the bag is opened. The bottom is supposed to be strengthened to prevent splitting, in my opinion, but I believe that doing so stresses the sides, causing them to rupture.These bags are more cost-effective to use and were dispatched swiftly, especially if you don't need to use a second bag like I did with the "other" bag. If I finish the current box of Primode bags, I will definitely order them again.

These do their intended functions very well. I place them in my kitchen compost bin until it is full, at which point I have my son carry it to the large pile outside. They frequently spend days, if not nearly a week, in the kitchen trash, and I've never experienced any tearing or ripping. Considering some of the other assessments, they hold up rather well. The only drawback is that occasionally, when they've been in the trash can for too long, some liquid seeps through. Since my trash can is made of stainless steel, I can easily rinse it and it won't be a problem. Additionally, I haven't noticed any smells, which is fantastic because my husband would be the first to object if there was even a slight smell. The compost pile I use for my grass and trees is distance from the house, so these bags work perfectly for me.

I adore how these bags perform so well and seem to be regular plastic bags. I was concerned that the bags wouldn't be as sturdy as I had hoped, but they are just as durable—in fact, they are more durable than many other regular garbage bags I have seen that don't have the green bag justification. This trash bag is currently my favorite because many businesses claim that their products are ecologically friendly when in fact they are not and can only be recycled. Additionally, they can only be recycled if your community takes the time to separate its plastic waste and has the manpower or technology resources to do so. In other words, the majority of "green" trash bags you purchase are not recycled but rather thrown away with the rest of your rubbish into landfills. Therefore, you simply squandered money by paying more for a product that won't be able to fulfill the purpose for which you purchased it. The fact that these bags are biodegradable and really environmentally friendly is what I appreciate about them. As opposed to other garbage bag manufacturers, who label their recyclable bags as "eco-friendly" when they are really only trying to make their products appear better for the environment than they actually are. Earth-friendly does not equate to recyclable. No matter where you live, these biodegradable bags are environmentally friendly, and since they will decompose rather than persist in the environment for hundreds to thousands of years, you don't need to do a ton of research to determine whether your trash bags are compatible with your city's waste management company's recycling facility.

Simply the greatest garbage bag to use instead of more hazardous typical plastic bags. We looked at many options before settling on this 3 gallons bio bag. Unlike bio bags from other businesses, this bag has not yet torn, decomposed, or been impacted by weight when it has wet trash on it. Still, keeping to smaller bags and making sure to purchase recently manufactured stock rather than an old box that had been sitting around for a while and was already starting to rot might have been helpful. It would be better to purchase them directly or from a provider who appears to sell them frequently, but it can be difficult to know. Having a smaller trash can is very helpful, not only to ensure that we use a smaller liner like this and reduce the risk of the bag becoming too heavy or being wet for longer periods of time, which could damage it, but also to prevent attracting pests with bad odors that get worse with time.The certifying organization Vinçotte is approved by European Bioplastics. It is encouraging to know that the bags have undergone ecotoxicity and heavy metals content testing to ensure that the composted product has no harmful effects on plants. Every item that has received a BPI certification will safely and totally compost.

These compostable toilet paper packs were ideal for my requirements. They are simple to open, simple to peel from the roll, and have a nice perfume that keeps unwanted odors at bay. However, I also used a powdered gel. Before opening the disposable bag and covering the seat until the first usage, I placed a tall kitchen bag in the bucket and snapped the lid over that. After the very first usage, I lightly closed the lid, laid the bag across the seat, and twisted the top of the bag a few times before holding it there until the next use. By doing this, condensation under the toilet cover is avoided. Additionally, the cost was fairly affordable. The business also contacted me right away to check on my satisfaction with the purchase. These days, very few business owners take that action.

Because some compostable bag reviews mention the bags failing before reaching the curbside garbage barrel, I was hesitant to buy these. Should these fail, I got these with the intention of lining my kitchen garbage with paper shopping bag. I haven't had to do that yet. I'm about halfway through the box and no bags have broken yet. I'll admit that compared to the old-school plastic bags, I do prefer to handle them carefully and don't throw them around as much. They are gently taken out of the kitchen barrel and placed in the curbside barrel by me. Although I'm not sure if they would survive being thrown, it's a small alteration I can handle. Additionally, unlike my old plastic bags, these lack a drawstring, making it occasionally difficult to seal them. I simply twist them before placing them in my curbside barrel. (Alternatively, you might close them with your bread tie wires.) Once more, this is a simple tweak that I am willing to make. Very happy with my purchase and would most certainly place another order.

Our compost can is fortunately removable, so we don't have to remove the bag from the bin until we are directly next to the larger container, however several bags have torn with little use. This has led to some significant messes (coffee grounds spilling everywhere is never fun). Now, I make sure the bags are never overstuffed and aren't too heavy; this appears to help with some of the issues. The other problem has been that occasionally it seems as though the bags have a weak spot where simply a little pressure (such as shaking a fresh bag out before putting it in the trash) would cause the side torn).Overall, despite the problems, I like the bags; nevertheless, I would advise caution over their durability if I couldn't locate a product that was more robust.

I received a kitchen composter that needed these bags from someone. Since my buddy reported that hers broke, I was astonished by how durable they are considering that I empty them once a week. We frequently use vegetable peels, coffee grounds, and other wet materials, but we haven't seen this problem. Because of the remarks about not being suitable for home composting, I usually empty the bag into one of the four tumbler composters before throwing the trash in the primary trash can.
